Clean store. Friendly staff. There's not a ton of turnover at this store on clothing, but I think it's pretty fairly priced. Lots of Target rejects if that's your thing. These are priced as if they have not been rejected by target shoppers and are in tremendous demand. There's a huge second floor, which I never noticed, full of kids and men's clothing, plus all the junk. Households etc. Everything is pretty well organized. Good place to get party supplies. The parking lot is pretty tight and don't even dream of taking a left turn onto Nicollet when you leave. Unless you got a lot of time on your hands. read more

I am a regular customer at this store and I am complaining about one cashier, a elderly Afro-American lady that is always rude. I always have to ask for a bag to put my paid items in, and it's enough where I do need a bag, and when I ask for one, she gives me the bag to bag myself. All the other cashiers do their job, and I feel like this is offensive and it's intended to make me feel this way. read more

Very dirty, unorganized store. IF you find anything, be prepared to pick it up off the floor. Mainly stuff I'd throw in the trash. Broken, ripped, stained. Goodwill takes advantage of employees. Waiting for the terrible traffic to die down, we veered off and found this location. A lot of times I wait in the car while J browses, but I decided to go in this trip. Glad I did. This is probably my favorite location so far. There is a ton of brand new stuff in its package and reasonably priced like a thrift store should be. Found a few new items for a gift basket. Place is quite large, well organized with friendly check out staff. This trip I saw an over abundance of: - kiddie winter boots - little tyke sleds - new gift bags - baby announcements - new books - Christmas cards in the box - baby name books Etc.. This place was A-okay. It wasn't anything special and it certainly did wow me (that is to be expected though, it is goodwill after all). This location wasn't very clean, but it was organized which is always nice. It seemed that all they had in stock today was old, broken, used looking crap; not every little girls dream, but I'm sure someone will find used for the stuff. Conveniently located right off of Lyndale and 494. The parking lot can be a bit small for busy weekend days but I have usually found a spot with one or two left over. There is a line for drop offs that has room for several vehicles. There is plenty of room to move around in the store but if you are in a wheelchair, there may be a few areas you may need to avoid as items can be thrown about. I haven't normally been one to get furniture or large items as I was pretty skeptical not being able to see items packaged. I have taken a few risks and purchased an area rug as well as a long dining table bench. Both turned out to be in great condition and worth the money! There are a lot of salvage boxes that I stayed away from but if you have a phone, you can search the description or number on the box to see what it will look like put together. That is how I found my dining bench that was brand new in a box! Around certain holidays like halloween, christmas, valentine's day, or fourth of july they have holiday decorations or home good items available. Currently they have a nice variety of halloween items. They have a mix of everything from baskets to couches to a few food items and toys. Almost everything is pretty reasonable. The only items I see that can have a higher pricetag are the furniture items. The aisles can be a bit messy with items due to overflow or browsing customers setting things on the floor and leaving them. If it is busy, the lines can be a bit long as well to purchase your items. Overall, there's a great variety and decent prices but if you are looking for accessibility there may be a few areas of trouble as with any other thrift store / goodwill. read more

This is located just off Highway 494 so I stopped in on my way home from work. I wanted to get deep fryer for a special food project and I found one! I was also looking for some workout clothes and spring clothes. I think it's bizarre that they take a halfway decent brand, say Northface, and mark up to something like 12.99 or 19.99. It is too expensive (in my humble opinion) for things that have been donated. It is a clean and well organized store. read more

There is a secret about this Goodwill that everyone should know about - Target liquidates a heaping pile of awesomeness here on a very regular basis. You know you loved that leopard print Merona Cardigan you saw while you were trying to stick to your list on the way to the laundry detergent aisle, but decided that you didn't need to impulse spend $25 on yet another cardigan, then BAM! Richfield Goodwill has it one month later for five bucks. Purple tweed pencil skirt that you can totally wear from summer through fall? POW! Goodwill's got you covered, in just about every size no less. You can get their home goods as well. I've seen everything from bistro sets to TV stands, there's a lot of great steals to be had. The store is always tidy and bright. The layout is very open and there's lots of employees around so it feels like a normal store, not sketchy like some thrift stores. You definitely should give this place a comb through, it will probably have some fantastic brand new goods that you'll be so glad you got a bargain for! read more

As probably the most convenient Goodwill for me so I often add this location to my list of stops when thrifting. It's pretty big, not huge, and has a pretty good selection of stuff. It has A LOT of target stuff in every section and a lot of there stuff is more contemporary and less vintage. There are some older pieces, just not a ton. I went a couple days ago and saw a bunch of designer shoes from the 80's that, unfortunately, weren't in my size. The prices are pretty good, it's well organized, and overall a pretty good place to check out. read more

Long wait lines to donate items. I have left several times and had to go back, or went to another store to donate. You drive around the front of the garage and the door is wide open - NO ONE IS IN THERE - they usually have one person there and they are sorting items instead of doing that instead of taking donations. Better when two people work. Management should be checking on this when everyone is complaining about this. Store items are nice, but a lot of electrical items are broken, and half the items are not priced. read more

Prices: they can go way off the deepens with some prices. They seem to have no concept of what is outdated or just 15 years old. They have $7 and $8 on things that are 20 years old and stained. Obviously not going to sell. Then they price BCBG like it's going to save the world. I'm sure they found one BCBG that was NWT for a couple hundred and now price all BCBG like its gold plated, no matter how outdated. They have to realize that rarely are those items sold at that high price. $200 items routinely would sell for $40-$60 and they want $20 for used stuff. Atmosphere: it's kind of clean in there. It's hard to keep it clean when you get the slobs in there that I saw. People that look at one item then drape it over the rack like they own the place and not live on other peoples tax dollars. I was pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of Target rejects. Some are currently in stock @Target. I spent a considerable amount of time here 2.5 hrs...which is a good sign to me. I consider myself to be a thrift queen. My fav find here was a nearly new black n why RL sweater for 6.99. Store was clean but lost a few points on organization. Parking was limited but possible. I haven't been enough to assess turnover This is a great spot if you're trying to furnish an apt. On a budget. The Target furniture is new, still in box. read more

I had been going to this goodwill location for years until recently. I purchased several items on a Sunday, which was a half price say and was told I had seven days to return the items. I returned the Saturday after the purchase, brought my receipt and approached the cashier. I was told one of the items was not on the receipt but when reviewing the receipt, realized that not only was I charged incorrectly for the item, but that the original cashier keyed in the item instead of scanning it which not only did she charge me MORE for the item but left it unaccounted for on the receipt, thus not allowing me to return the item. The manager, Joe was called to assist. He basically said that HAD the shoes been scanned in, that it would have reflected as such on the receipt. He then asked me if I could bring in all the items on the receipt so that they could be accounted for, I said I could. THEN, he went on to say that since it wasn't on the receipt, he had to follow company policy and could not refund me the $3.99. Now, being a manager myself, I realized that this manager was insinuating that I was lying when he said, perhaps I made a mistake and didn't consider the fact that his employee actually made the mistake. It isn't the money because I could careless. It was the insinuation of being dishonest and his inability to consider what I was saying. Sadly, I will not return to this location and may not go to any goodwill from this day forward. There are more than enough locations where someone can second hand shop and obviously, I as a customer can't rely on the employees to do their job correctly, nor rectify the issue with a manager. I'll take my money somewhere else. In short watch what you are being charged like a hawk at this location. read more

On September 4th I entered the drop off line. There were 4 cars in front of me each taking about 5 minutes to make their drop off. Finally, I arrived at the door to the drop off area. I was first in line. I saw the woman ahead of me hand a receipt to the man working and the door closed. I waited for 20 minutes and called the store to inquire if they were still accepting goods. I was told they were busy. FINALLY after 30 MINUTES the door to OZ OPENED and I was allowed entry. When I inquired about the wait, a worker named Mike approached me and told me how impatient I was and they had been helping a woman load a sectional into her car. He was abrasive and aggressive and ultimately did not accept the items I was trying to unload. Because of this I will not return to this site or any Goodwill site as I find it annoying that they not only make you wait an unconscionable amount of time but also make you unload your own stuff! Very clean and organized Goodwill store, probably of any Goodwill store I've ever been to. They have an efficient staff and even have some new items that are factory packaged and sealed. It is in a suburb and the quality of the store shows. The one drawback is that it is a tad bit pricier than most Goodwills I've been to, but that probably is just a reflection of the quality of the shopping experience they offer. I was on a trip to MN and needed a suitcase. I found a suitcase, a brand new pair of sunglasses, 2 belts, and a beautiful "looks like new" top for under $16. The staff was exceedingly helpful. Everyone I encountered was very helpful, especially the cashier. She went out of her way to be helpful and I also learned that if you make a donation! you can receive a discount off your purchase.
