A very effective employee who pays attention to "details" noticed that there are cords hanging out of the ceiling connecting to routers and were not tacked down to the wall, which is another fire hazard. This observant employee noticed there was a big glob of mold in the cooler where the complimentary drinks are kept, and the fan was blowing the mold onto the drinks, possibly making people sick. This employee noticed about 5 cases of drinks that were expired and pulled them out of the cooler, and got rid of expired goods and services. The manager told such employees not to tell the customers about the mold or report the incident to the Health Department. The employee found the place not up to code and disorganized. When employees approached the manager about the liquor and gambling licenses not being displayed properly or up to date properly the manager yelled at the employee to mind their own business, then employee was fired. Be careful entering into Elsa's on South 6th Street.

She was upset because we came in at 12:30am and told us (3) that she was closing in 5 mins. My friend asked if they started closing at 12:30 instead of 1am and this really upset her. We walked out and won't be back if she is behind the desk. I suggest the owner send in a few people at 12:30 - 12:45am to see how she handles their Money. She wouldn't work for me but one shift that's for sure.

The staff were very nice and courteous from everyone I encountered while there. I arrived early and my room was available, which I was thankful for; however, the early check in fee was a little steep but at least they were able to charge less due to the agreement with the conference organizer. The last day of the conference I asked to have a late checkout as I wanted to be able to go back to my room after 12 pm and change clothes. I was told that for a late checkout it'd be a charge of half the room rate. That was way too much. I wasn't going to stay long, I just wanted to keep my clothes in the room until I could come back and change before heading out the door to the airport. I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the St. Louis area and look forward to my next trip...I'll just make sure not to check in early, or ask for a late checkout.

The Casino has an actual no-smoking area upstairs. The main bar downstairs we have checked out and hung out in to sip a few cocktails and the BF played the slot game at the bar. Parking is plentiful and there are cameras everywhere. I hate the entry way inside to go to the elevators, both just give you that dirty disgusting vibe. Once you reach the inside of the casino and hit the brick floor the vibes are a little better. The casino offers plenty of options for eats from a steakhouse to a cafe and bakery, a grille and the above mentioned spots and more. The game room is OK. We played Halo the entire time since it's our favorite game. The drinks in the bar are cool depending on the bartender you chose. Asia serves some good eats, they are pretty expensive but the chefs are legit. I have hit-n-miss experiences with the bakery/cafe when trying their selections, so venture at your own risk. I really only come here when the BF suggest and it's just a pit stop for us to either begin our night or end our night.

As for the hotel, we didn't like adjoining rooms next to strangers and the people to our other side played loud music but we didn't want to cause any issues. As you can see the tub had poor drainage so as I showered the water just kept getting higher, I finally got out at ankle high. Rooms themselves weren't anything special or different from any other hotel. Housekeeping did knock to clean our room as we were there 3 nights but when we returned our beds weren't made up but she did leave fresh towels. Entrance was very nice but I did wish they had something open to eat at other than the pretzel joint after 12am, I mean come on it's a casino that's opened 24/7!

First, the bathroom door was a barn-door style, which offered about as much privacy as a screen door. Not ideal when you're sharing a room. The king-size bed was another disappointment. The mattress cover and sheets clearly didn't fit the bed properly, so every time we tried to get comfortable or move around in our sleep, everything came loose. Nothing says "luxury hotel" quite like wrestling with your bedding all night. To make matters worse, the room was hot as hell. We turned the thermostat all the way down to 60 degrees and set the fan to high, but it never seemed to make a difference. Whether the thermostat was just there for decoration or the air conditioning had decided to take the night off, I have no idea. Either way, getting comfortable enough to sleep was a challenge. Then there was the shower. That was an interesting experience. To turn it on, you literally had to step into the shower because the controls were on the opposite side from the door. So, if you enjoy starting your shower with an unexpected blast of cold water, this setup is perfect for you. If you'd rather ease into warm water, well, sorry about your luck unless you're one of those lucky people with Go Go Gadget arms who can somehow reach the controls without getting soaked. As for the shower floor, once it got wet, it was slick as hell. They did provide a tiny rubber mat, but stepping on it felt like walking barefoot across a pile of Legos. I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and for the price, this one simply wasn't worth it. I've stayed in $65 a night hotels that provided a much better overall experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I paid premium prices for a budget-level stay.
