I wish I could give NO stars. This is a very long thorough review of my experience with Goodskin over the last 10 months. Feel free to read all details, or if you choose to just keep it to a nutshell "DO NOT GO TO GOODSKIN"...you will only leave feeling financially, emotionally and most importantly physically violated. (key word botched)

In February 204, I had my initial consultation, with Lisa Goodwin and felt like I as in good hand. I decided to move forward with her "healthy aging plan", and though the cost was extraordinarily high in comparison to other top doctors in Los Angeles, I committed to it. However, I did feel it was very strange that every time I came into the office Lisa would always be suggesting something "new" that was never discussed in February, changing my "plan", cost dramatically going up. I kept copies of the "plan" suggested each visit, and in fact, every visit there was a shift into another treatment or very vague information of how many treatments I would need in order to start seeing results.
Lisa would say 3 to 6, an assistant would say 6-9 and then the following visit, a new technique or injection would be introduced that would again have a very vague finish line to which I would see results. Each visit would range from 3k - 8k.
With many procedures that either did nothing or actually made my skin worse, I should have listened to my gut but so much time and money had been spent towards "my plan" I continued. In November, I caved and decided to move on to her next suggestion. Something that was referred to architectural lifting (not sure about the correct term) that would slightly lift my skin a few millimeters. The cost of the treatment was 9k.
When Lisa came in for this treatment she was already using a tone that was unkind and abrasive. Before we started I openly told her I didn't like the way she was speaking to me and that her passive aggressive attitude was really starting to bother me. She did apologize in her own irreverent way, and proceeded with the procedure. I left slightly swollen which was to be expected however, 10 days after the procedure I started noticing very hard pockets around my nose. My face no longer looked like mine! I had lack of movement and painful hard spots of filler through out my face. My smile looked like the joker.
I immediately reached out the office with detailed pictures of what I was talking about as well as explaining that there were lumps of fillers that were not only noticeable but also painful.
It took hours for the office to get back to me and when they finally did their lack of empathy or accountability was shocking. There was a tone of "get over it" and it's not that bad, it's only swelling. "We think you look good!"
I absolutely did not look good, I looked like a freak and I was emotionally exhausted and devastated.
Taking no accountability or showing minimal empathy, the Goodskin team sent me to ANOTHER doctor to start the dissolving process. This process is painful, and I have only had one session. The plastic surgeon who is now treating me has informed me it will take at minimum two or more sessions to get me back to my baseline.
He is 100% certain that there was filler put in areas that were not disclosed in my medical records from Goodskin. He saw this filler using an ultra sound, and was frankly in shock by the placement and quantity.
The overall experience and treatment I had with Lisa and Goodskin has been unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel like I continued coming in because I was going through an extremely vulnerable chapter in my life. Honestly, it makes me sick and thinking about it now.
It is clear I had treatments that were not fully disclosed (filler in around the mouth area) and caused significant complications. Further these treatments are not referenced in my records. From my interactions with the office, it is clear there was an attempt to keep the totality of my treatments hidden from me and the doctors attempting to resolve my issues.
Simply put, these issues point toward a very troubling pattern of negligent care. I have decided to write this review with the hopes that someone does not go through an experience like mine, nor be taken for 9,000 plus in fees that resulted in pain, facial deformation and time wasted seeking help from others to reverse this negligent care. read more
