Fried wings and shrimp
Cuey M.

Spotted this truck at the Pecan Park flea market a few times and decided to give them a try one day. I ordered the shrimp and chicken combo along with some punch. Total came out to twice as much as I would normally spend on food here (Filipino Joint). The chicken and shrimp was piping hot, flavored well, although a bit salty. The sides were a HUGE disappointment. The collards tasted canned. Mac n Cheese were meh, my son wouldn't even eat it. The rice and gravy was bland and the punch was too sweet. Not a fan.

Let's start with the customer service....it's A1!! The nice lady create a welcoming vibe when you come to the truck, she is patient, and always has a smile on her face. The food is consistent and is always fresh. Everytime I come to the truck there is a line because where there a lot of people it's good food!! Thank you to the cook, that man does his thing keep the people coming. Thank you

Bad attitude does not make your food good. Your food is overly salty. Don't get mad when a customer let you know. Knowing will benefit you. This is an opportunity to correct the issue so customers will want to purchase again. Don't think that your food is so good that you can't take advice from a paying customer. Because of the bad attitude (lady who takes the order and picks up the phone), I will never purchase your overly salty food ever again. DO BETTER!

Soul food truck, in the Save-A-Lot parking lot with the VyStar ATM in it!

Food is always freshly prepared, well seasoned and portioned nicely. The customer service is always spot on as well.

They didn't have wings ready yet which was really disappointing as I had read they were excellent. The BBQ sauce was thinner and more tart than we prefer, but again, not bad. Inside the building was a bit crowded and confusing. The drink machine is right in the middle of where you stand in line to order so that was a bit of a hassle. Inside tables were full so we ate outside, not a great view, but thankfully it wasn't too hot out. The staff were friendly enough and the food was better than a lot of places though a bit in the pricey side.

We came in on a Wednesday evening. We asked about the menu and were told at the counter that it was Wing Wednesday and the wings were $1 each. Well how could we not add those onto our order. We ordered a Burnt Ends platter with mac and cheese, and corn nuggets, a Brisket Platter with corn nuggets and beans. We also ordered a large mac for my son and a side of lean brisket. For the wings we ordered the Cajun ranch. Our food started coming out in about 5 minutes. Firstly, I was shocked at the wings. I love wings, but they aren't something I usually order often as I find them just OK. There are only a couple places that I visit specifically for wings. Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.

I walked over to the food truck, which was the longest part of my experience with them. The nice man at the counter informed me that I could order on the new digital screens, but asked what I was getting so he could start my order. Incredibly great service! I put in my order and paid right from the menu boards! For the best part is, I put in my phone number and received a text when my food was ready, so I didn't have to listen around for my name. A few minutes later, my food is ready and I'm on my way! It was still piping hot when I sat down to eat five minutes later. Fries were crispy, sauce was tangy and the shawarma was balanced. 15/10!! After a short wait, my food was delivered, and I noticed a small container of red sauce included with the meal. I wasn't sure what it was at first, so I tried it with my fries. I originally thought it was curry, but it had more of a thin, runny consistency with a spicy kick. It worked okay with the fries, but I chose not to put it on the gyro. Unfortunately, the fries were the biggest disappointment. They were extremely salty and mostly made up of the small broken pieces you usually find at the bottom of the bag. The gyro itself was good, especially after adding some white sauce my friend received with her order. We ordered the exact same meal, so I was surprised that she received three sauces while I only received one. Overall, my first experience with 904 Saffron was lacking. Between the overly salty fries and the inconsistency with the orders, I expected a little more for a meal that cost over $15.e

I realized I had bad attitude one day, and I needed to change it, and the best way to change it?…read moreHave a fabulous lunch. Ella Maybe the best lunch you can have in North Florida. Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. The chicken is so tender and put into a tortilla with caramelized onions, banana peppers, and covered in On the Fly sauce. I don't know how but this works so well you cannot imagine. Service 5/5stars Food 10/5 stars Parking 3/5.

Dorami Food Truck Experience -- 7:49 PM, Friday, April 10, 2026…read more I was genuinely excited to see Dorami listed in my neighborhood the day before and made an effort to stop by, even knowing I might be cutting it close to closing time. As I drove into the Bartram clubhouse parking lot, I was happy to see the truck still there. The service window was open, and there were no visible signs indicating that you were closed. I walked up, took a moment to look over the menu, and was ready to place a fairly large order. Unfortunately, before I could say a word, I was abruptly waved away by a staff member who told me they were closed--in a tone that came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. I completely understand that closing time is closing time, and there may have been circumstances I wasn't aware of. However, customer service doesn't end the moment service stops. A brief, courteous explanation or even a simple apology would have made a big difference in how that interaction felt. I came ready and excited to support your business, but instead left without food and with a very negative impression. As a military veteran who has spent time in Okinawa, I have a deep appreciation for food that brings back meaningful memories, and I make a point to support businesses that offer that connection. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Great food is only part of the experience--how customers are treated, even in brief interactions, leaves a lasting impression. Thank you for your time.

Ashley isn't a big seafood fan but I was able to convince her since they also had amazing sounding cheese balls as well. We were worried the wait could be very long so we ordered online ahead of time. It was quick and easy though there was a $1 convenience fee but as soon as we arrived for our pick up time they called our name. We ordered the Coconut Haddock Sandwich, the Coconut Shrimp both with fries, the Deep Fried Brie Balls, and the Pepper Jack Balls. Yeah we probably went a little overboard but everything sounded so good and saw saw they were not going to be in our neighborhood again any time soon. Now I'm not normally a big fan of coconut but the Haddock Sandwich sounded so good I had to risk it... and great thing I did!!! That was one of the best fish sandwiches I have ever had and probably the best I have had in Jacksonville. Ashley doesn't ever like fish and through this was amazing. The fries that came with it was just alright but I didn't come here for fries so I didn't really care. Now on to the cheese balls. Both the Brie and Pepper Jack were amazing. Light crispy batter with amazing cheese pull. I couldn't tell you which I preferred. Though the Brie comes with Raspberry Preserves and the Pepper Jack comes with Ranch so it's on you to decide. Amazing food truck and I can't wait for these ladies to return!!!

I ended up ordering the coconut shrimp, which the person who took my order said was one of their specialties and I added on the coconut hush puppies. Given that they had a huge sign saying that their cheese balls were amazing, I grabbed an order the mozzarella ones as well. I must admit that I was a little confused as to why a seafood place was selling cheese balls...but, oh well, I love fried cheese. I was told that since I hadn't placed my order online ahead of time, as I didn't know that was an option, my order would take 52 minutes. I was given a time to return to the truck. Nearly an hour wait is a long time for truck food. I tend to think of food trucks as a great go-to for a quick meal. I mean, even an hour wait in a restaurant for food is a ridiculously long time. Nevertheless, I agreed and paid. My order was ready right on time! I was able to skip the line when I arrived back there and received their text and everything was correct when I checked the boxes before leaving. Nearly everything was also overly fried including the french fries which were dark in color, hard, and difficult to eat. The shrimp were large and nicely breaded and they had a good flavor to them. But the coconut hush puppies were burnt in places and had no appreciable seasoning or flavor aside from coconut pieces. I guess I was expecting the usual spices in a hush puppy with the addition of coconut. And the cheese "balls" were melted discs of breading around some of the cheese. They were still edible but not what was advertised. I remember trying a brie ball from Nomi's Cheese Bar at Gastrofest years ago and what I got was much more successful back then (see pic). It looks like these companies have merged or perhaps they are the same folks?!?! The issues on the night that I went may have been because of the crowd or because their oil temperature was too high. I wish I had tried something that didn't require a fryer to be able to better asses their flavors. This truck seems to have potential but I just didn't have a great experience, particularly given the relatively high costs of the food.
