We hired Joe Filippone as our lawyer for buying a house. Throughout the entire process he seemed to…read morenot be putting his best foot forward when dealing with the sellers. He didn't want to "ask" for certain things on our behalf, meanwhile they were not far fetched or obscene requests by any means. At the closing, we came to an escrow agreement with the sellers, which they did not fulfill in the allotted time frame and Mr. Filippone "could not find any paperwork on it," even though it was on a couple of weeks later. He charged us a high rate and did minimal work. A family member of ours did majority of HIS legwork, because they were looking out for our best interest, unlike our high priced lawyer. It seemed to us that he had the sellers best interest instead of his own clients. We highly advise that you seek legal advice some place else.

From the beginning they were off and late to the party from the attorney review to the closing where the paper work for closing didn't even get there till after closing was finished! I was told and in writing 1 price and at the end was doubled!! I paid for a service that the title company and I did 90% of the work!! I do not recommend this firm at all and I would suggest looking else where. Oh, I forgot to mention when I called to try and straighten out the problem they had with the title company and closing the told the title company that they will keep hanging up on me if I call again and that I give them a headache and they are going home. Really!!! and then to charge me double at the end. I knew there had to be something sneaky going on. They wouldn't put their fee on the closing sheet just put poc where the amount should have been and never responded to my email on how much and how would they like to get paid. Snakes!!!! When I went to the office the next day to give them a check and ask for the amount. Brian the one me and the title company were on the phone with the night before said he never spoke with us. Really!! ok! So then I said I will wait till I get my total to give them the check. Double!! That's why they were being sneaky!!! My realtor & the title company both said I should have never paid them, that they did nothing!!! I did pay them I know I shouldn't have especially not that much considering my title company and I did all the work. Their argument was that They worked long and hard on this for 2 weeks. I even took care of the solar lease and transfers all myself!!! lol They wasted their own time when I told them most of the information already. They never told me when the amount was over what we agreed too and I signed off on. yet they wanted to be paid double!!! Never use this law firm. If you do you will be ripped off!! Your will save yourself money and a headache if you look elsewhere.
