I have a set of winter tires on rim to be changed. Searching the web, I find out about TechPro and…read moreits special deal of changing the winter tires for only CAD 20! I am thrilled. The service is quick and easy. I also enjoy myself in the waiting room. The room is clean and well organized, with some of my favorite magazines and distilled water to enjoy. I talked to staff member Stephen Au. He is very patient and knowledgeable about many things about winter tires, other concerns I have with my car. Overall it is a very enjoyable experience. I will give TechPro a shot again if I have any car problem in the future. And I will recommend the place to any of my friends.

I found them to be honest, courteous and not trying to up-sell. Tire changeover, oil change and…read morebalancing didn't have any issues. I had a "tire pressure low" warning on my Honda CR-V that turned out to be a false error message, no charge for the diagnostic. Prices are reasonable. The 3 stars is because I had a brake issue on my other car and they could not fix it. Replaced the rear pads and rotors, serviced the front and back but issue still remained. 3 different mechanics could not find the problem. Had to go to the dealer to have the front rotors machined, which got rid of the noise. (Also of concern, I was told that these rotors were not machinable). On the positive side, no additional cost was charged for looking at the brakes/servicing them 3 times, but I guess that should be the standard. Unfortunately will likely have to take my business elsewhere.

Always quality service. Most importantly honest service. Never suggests unnecessary repairs. if…read moreyou ask for something and you don't need it, they will tell you, you don't need it and not take advantage. Very trustworthy. Mechanics are properly licensed...as such they are dirt cheap, but less than dealers. It is not possible to have qualified staff and be cheap. One review commented on price of oil change is same as Mr. Lube- which really means it is cheap - Mr. Lube employs non mechanics and students. Mr Lube will pressure you to replace fluids that don't need replacing and air/cabin filters that are 60% more than other places. And if you say no every time, they get upset and won't do their 30 point check in the future - but they will check the box like they did do it. The coupon just gets you in to upsell you. A couple times they told me I needed to change fluids - took to Mkm Auto to verify - no fluids needed changing. My dad has gone here asking for a tune up, only to be told he just needed minor tweaking at a fraction of the cost. Mechanics don't make commission like dealers, so there is no incentive to make unnecessary recommendations. Several times Markham Honda said I needed new brakes. I took it to Mkm Auto for a 2nd opinion and they said nothing is wrong with them.

I went to work 15min after the service and 3 min in to my drive, I started smelling a burnt scent and started hearing grinding noise. I was advised that it was normal and sent me a video for the correct way to break in my break pads/rotors. I drove my car only short distances for the next few weeks and informed Uchanics that it is still making noises and the burning scent is still present. It turns out my calipers where seized. Due to the service tech rushing, he did not get to check the calipers. I got the rotors, break pads, calipers fixed at a different shop. This terrible experience happened in April. They've stopped responding to my emails and it is now September. I am still currently waiting for my reimbursement from Uchanics.
