DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS SALON!!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!!!!
Long review ahead, but the short version is this: Never, ever in my life have I been so blatantly BULLIED and literally TRAPPED inside a store when the business owners are the ones to have made the blunder...
I've never encountered such shocking business practices than from my experience at Good Nails in Port Melbourne today - sure it's a nail salon and my experience was with the waxing, but the response of all 3 women who were working was absolutely unbelievable. The young girl who waxed me dropped a clump of wax in my hair - as in, the hair on my head! I showed her and she immediately started grabbing at the clump trying to take it out, but I was nervous she would just rip it out leaving my hair damaged. Unfortunately communication was limited, and I understand that mistakes happen, but there was no apology or concern for what she had done. With the clump of wax still in my hair, she offered $5 discount, which was laughable. Once most of the wax was out (and multiple clumps of hair) I went out to the counter not wanting to pay anything, but I know the girl didn't mean to do this so I thought it was reasonable to ask for 50% off due to the blob of hot wax dropped in my hair (which, in 20 years of being waxed, has NEVER happened to me before). The 3 women effectively ganged up on me, all shouting at me to pay with only $5 discount. The eldest lady then shut the glass door, locked it then stood her body against it, basically trapping me in the store.... I am not kidding. I was in absolute shock. They continued yelling at me, so I asked firmly for the lady blocking the door to allow me to leave. She barked at me and said she will call the police. I said please do. They didn't call anyone. I turned to the young girl at the counter (who had waxed me) and offered (again) to pay half the amount so that I could please leave. The middle lady (who was doing a pedicure on someone who just watched with shock as the whole thing unfolded) relented and said it was fine for me to pay half. I paid and the old lady let me out whilst screaming at me, "Don't you ever come here again, You do not come here again, NOT EVER AGAIN" By this stage I was certainly yelling back, "Don't worry, I wont EVER come back here and I'll be telling everyone I know to NEVER come to this salon" read more
