So, first, I am going to appear a little confrontational to "DL's" comment... and simply because I…read moreLOVE Goddard, and my (well mannered/well articulate) child has been attending Goddard since 10 months... What "research" can one do on daycare beyond a friend's recommendation (and to each their own), or to Yelp reviews (so take what you want from my personal experience...) And here's my background from a scholastic standpoint: I have a degree in psychology and studied in early education course work from TCNJ and I grew up in Bergen County, which any article/study will show has the top of the top public school ratings (my point, I'm no dummy and education is very important to me- curriculum and quality of staff.) Not caring and loving?... not at all. The staff is personable and always available and if as a parent you make your self known then the staff is well aware of your (and your child's of course) presence and any personal/specific needs. For example, I pack my four year old's school lunch with mostly organic and all natural food, and they CALL me if there is even an Ice Truck coming to school during the summer curriculum to make sure it is okay with me as the parent. I appreciate that during the age that is exactly what it is "PRE school" that this staff recognizes the parents as leaders in what is best for their child. The curriculum was very strong and progressive? I am type A and have an advanced child for his group and yet he ENJOYS going to school and talks about his day... simply because he is learning something new. The kids are good in the school. This school allows for variety and exploring and most importantly (for ME) is remains a fun and caring and 'everyone knows your name' environment. I am not a parent to 'leave it up to the school/daycare' to make strides with my child; that I put on myself, but to each their own. The Goddard in Wall I am not familiar with BUT I have not heard positive reviews at that location and I worked ten years down the road in Manasquan. Still, keep in mind, that Goddard is a franchise so operationally the "curriculum" is basically required to be the same - the people/staff are not. I WOULD recommend anyone to the Goddard in BRICK; I have friends in Brielle and recommend the Goddard of Brick over the one in Wall. The teachers in Brick are from Brick, and the public school system in Brick is rating SO poorly sadly even at the elementary school level that once my child completes his year of Pre-K at Goddard, we have decided moving to the Red Bank area... Brick is terrible with its school district fyi. I felt VERY fortunate to have Goddard of Brick operate as it does with its professionalism; and friendly/caring; and concerned staff... our kids are babies if they are going to any daycare, to what 8 schools are you comparing??

Absolutely do not send your child to this camp…read more 1.The marketing is a lie, it is not a marine science camp - it's a beach camp. No crab traps, fishing, fossils, bones, dissections or anything cool. It's playing games on a beach and the kids aren't allowed to even go into the water for relief. 2. The staff are not given adequate resources to meet expectations and they do their best but holy heck it's terrible. My kids are bored after one day. The staff reads curriculum out of a book but there is no real interaction with sea life other than putting minnows and crabs in a kiddie pool. This is for toddlers. 3. It is unsafe with no heat relief. No access to any facilities for heat or storms. The camp should have a plan for all of this but they don't. There are no lifeguards if not already on a guarded beach. 4. They say the kids are part of actual data collection but it's taking the pH level and some animal counts and given to one of the counselors and the kids barely interact with this data otherwise. 5. It says on the website that topics include chemistry, biology, engineering, geology, etc. Lies. The most exciting thing they did was build boats out of trash. There are no experiments, no special guests, nothing. They play ninja and play in the sand. The counselors have nothing to work with and I feel bad for them. 6. They charge you via PayPal if you're late even a minute to pick up your kid. Sketchy. PayPal??! The instructors awkwardly kick rocks and say they're sorry but they won't get paid unless I give them money with PayPal. Imagine a company not paying their employees to work. What a disappointing and terrible place to spend money with no infrastructure or protocol for your kid. You're better off sending them to the YMCA where they can at least go inside to drink water when it's a hundred degrees or get a band aid.

Disappointing and Unsafe Experience at New Logic Marine Science Camp…read more Our experience at New Logic Marine Science Camp in Somers Point was far from what we had hoped for. We were looking forward to a fun and enriching camp experience for our children, but unfortunately, we encountered several serious issues that left us deeply concerned. There were instances where our child was left unsupervised. This lack of oversight led to a public beachgoer approaching my son and taking his picture. The activities provided were not as described and failed to engage the children. For example, putting sand and water in a baby pool and calling it an ecosystem is what we used to do with our kids as toddlers- not 3rd and 5th graders. We were also told that crab lines would be provided to the kids and they were in-fact not. My kids had to stand around and watch the crabbing rather than participate as they were promised. The camp staff were not as friendly or professional as expected. On both days we sent our kids before pulling them out, one of their biggest complaints was how mean the staff was and that they were always yelling at the campers. Properly trainig the staff so they are professional and responsive to both children's and parents' concerns is strongly recommened given the large amount of special needs kids they have attending their camps. My kids were horrified that a counselor physically grabbed another child by the arm to get them to go where they wanted them to. Our experience at New Logic Marine Science Camp was highly disappointing and did not meet the standards we anticipated. We hope that the camp management takes these issues seriously and makes necessary improvements to ensure a safer and more enjoyable environment for future campers. I tried multiple times to communicate my concerns with the director as well as the owner Sherri but neither would return my calls. We would not recommend this camp based on our experience. We hope this review helps other parents make a more informed decision and encourages the camp to make necessary changes for future improvements.

Ms. Angela, Ms. Kayla, Ms. Tamia, & Ms. Zeba have been there from day one and are amazing early educators. I cannot thank them enough for the care & education they provide my children with on a daily basis. Other teachers/aides are also wonderful with the children, Ms. Sam & Alyssa have been wonderful additions to the classroom. The front office staff is very friendly, super helpful with communication, and answering any questions that may arise. Jamie, Julie, Bonnie, and Amy have always been supportive and available to our family and I've even seen them help out in the classrooms with the children when needed. The school has camera access so when I get a chance, I often see the children learning to write, sensory learning, circle time, and many librarian visits. They also offer breakfast, lunch, snack, & transportation. Kiddie Academy in Toms River has been a huge support for my family.
