Recently brought home a new puppy to my home. Already have a full grown dog, an akita (Murphy)…read more Murphy has been part of my life for over 6 years and thought both he and I needed a third member of the pack. Along comes Mac, a golden retriever... Mac, as a puppy, was all over the place. Has energy for days and wanted to play...where as Murphy was over it. Who knew that bringing these two together was going to require so much time and energy. Did some research and was given Ronnie's information. She provided such patience and time with my two furry friends, but more so to me. She explained information that I would have ever known. Sadly, Murphy and Mac wont be best buds...but we all now can live together. Ronnie explained how to best maximize both pups and my personality so that there would not be any fighting or hairpulling (on my part). Thank you so much and so honored to be there 1st to post a review for you.

When the whole family met him at the adoption center Bo seemed pretty chill and go with the flow. Upon bringing Bo home he exhibited signs of aggression. I knew right away that I needed professional help for Bo. I scoured Yelp for a positive reinforcement training program since it worked with our current dog. I came across Ronnie's listing and contacted her immediately. She was very personable and knowledgeable on our phone consult. I signed Bo and I up for the 4 lesson package deal. We learned the basic commands of sit and down, as well as, leash control. In between lessons, Ronnie was always available via email if I had any questions. Bo and I have completed our lessons and I have seen a huge difference in his disposition. He went from an aggressive dog to a dog that wants to be loved on and apt to learning. Bo and I will continue with additional lessons because a whole new world has opened up for him and there is so much to see and learn.

We look forward to continue taking our pups to breweries, farmers markets, community festivals and all of the things we love to do as a family, all thanks to Rayo's K9 Academy and the foundation they built for us. Luna engaged in a lot of leash pulling and some reactivity when she would see other dogs. Luna is now able to walk calmly and does not overreact when another dog is around or near her. Nova is an anxious pup and her board and train helped her be exposed to public areas, while working on her obedience, learning to settle, gained more confidence in herself and does really well with leash walking. Raymond was thorough and explained things with care and patience on how to continue their training at home, answered any question and concerns we had and provided us with feedback when he had us practice the tools he used with our girls. Def would recommend and come back for extra support in the future if needed.

I called PS dog training and Ellen explained to me how it works. After everything was set up I dropped my boy off at her place for boot camp (yes boot camp lol - he stays with her for 2 weeks if you want that) Her house is in the middle of nowhere but it's really great out there. she has a little run for the smaller dogs and a bigger one for bigger dogs. she also has horses and geese and god knows what else :-) my little one is really scared of people but he didn't act up too bad with her (which is a great compliment) So after a week i wanted him back because....well i missed him :-) that was fine with her and we kept on with training in private sessions once a week. I don't know how it is now but back then she did it like that: you paid a set amount and she will work with you...well until the dog gets it. The next great thing: Boarding. Ellen takes her clients dogs for boarding. it's not cheap but also not really more expensive than others around. She even took our second puppy before he had all his shots (which means she had to keep him seperate from the others so he won't get sick - which she did. and it was HIGHLY appreciated. ) I was never worried when they were with her and they always got excited when they came to Ellen. Long story short - my dog has no perfect manners because I went back home during my husbands deployment and then we moved away from Cali. but if we would have had more time - heck I know she could have made a well behaved doog out of Stewie. He got a lot better (oh and geeez he learns SLOOOOOw lol) but the time was just too short to really accomplish everything we wanted. Ellen is a fun lady and she knows what she is talking about and the most important thing to me: she really cares about the dogs.

Why We Love It Here 1. Services Galore From full-service grooming to vaccination clinics that never charge a visit fee, Petco makes pet care easy and affordable for all our various (and continual) puppy needs. 2. Grooming: Tail Wags Guaranteed The ladies here are pawsome. While GSPs don't need a whole lot of grooming, we see our dogs' fluffier friends leave here tails wagging and owners smiling. 3. Training & Community Whether it's puppy classes or adult obedience, each of our pups--big, medium, and "will-sit-only-if-I'm-snacking" small--has thrived. And it's a comfort knowing they're learning from certified trainers. 4. Lastly, it warms my heart to see their pet adoptions. Knowing that local people are finding their new pals there and that the furry companions are getting a forever-home means the world to me and my children. My only frustation is that the lines can be a little long and it's not always easy to find help, but I try to remind myself that these people are not only caring for the community but also changing lives.

She was trapped under a collapsed cabin's roof on a very cold and windy January day. It took me five hours to get her out as she was traumatized and resistant beyond words. She was about ten weeks old, and once I had her cleaned up she was a beautiful puppy; I named her Raven. Getting Raven on a leash was a huge hurdle for quite a while. I had to learn how my energy affects my dogs (as I have two others) was critically essential, and was the hardest lesson I had to learn. I did not know it at the time she was teaching me how to have a dog. She was often skittish and would avoid me at all costs, so my first lesson was to build a good vibration of calm and trust. I had to learn to speak less and to keep training positive. To learn when she tried to control me and training. About October 25th Ashley wanted me to keep her on a leash twenty-four hours a day so that Raven would look to me as a "home base," I did not think I could do this, though Ashley convinced me this was the best way to change Raven into a trustful and connected dog. I had ten days of Raven on a leash which was eye-opening amazing to me. We reached a point where we both agreed more training was needed, so I signed-up. When it became necessary, she would spend more time going over lessons and to re-connect my understanding to enable a positive result. This additional training proved us right as Raven responded in positive and amazing ways. I know I must continue training her because if I don't she will revert to the way she was when I rescued her. I am planning an obstacle course in my yard to help her (and my Husky rescue) release some excess energy along with continuing training I've learned in almost three months. There were times when my frustration was astronomical as training a partly feral dog along with my own personality to my reaction of being upset. Ashley was so patient, understanding and kind in talking to me. I say Ashley Staiger is a Treasure! Donna Marie Landry
