My husband discovered this two in one place- they sell both rolled ice cream and boba just have to pay an order at two separate registers. Service was friendly and again there was a good amount of space to sit inside. They have a good selection of boba so I'll have to try something else however the strawberry boba I got just taste like strawberry nesquick which was a bummer but the cheese foam on top was good. read more

As a coffee aficionado, I didn't particularly enjoy Gong cha. It was pretty expensive for one (1) cup of coffee, which I felt was below average and lacking in taste. The building is also lacking in any personality, and is pretty sterile and lifeless. This is my third or fourth time here and it is one of my favorite places to come for boba. I usually get brown sugar milk tea, but I've been recently obsessed with taro so I got a taro milk tea with boba. I love that you get to choose your sugar and ice level. I got a medium and with tax and tip, it ran me roughly $7. I also got my daughter ice cream at kremo which is the same location but they use a different register. She did the create your own with sweet cream ice cream, fruity pebbles with marshmallows whipped cream and sprinkles. She loved watching the lady roll the ice cream and the ice cream looked fresh and tasted great. They keep it really clean in here, neat and the staff is really nice and helpful. I really wish they sold mochi here lol but I'm happy with my boba. It's a 10/10 in my opinion. read more

Nice clean, well lit place. The staff were nice taking my order and were efficient putting it together. The rolled ice cream was good and a crazy bang for your buck only being like $6.50 rather than like $10 which is what I usually pay for rolled ice cream. Gong cha opened not too long ago: Nov 12, 2021. They are still doing some construction in the back and f adjusting above the front counter. But that actually didn't impact my rating. Customer service was great. Menu selection is awesome (also I'm a little surprised they didn't have Thai Tea). Why 3? I just wants blown away by the boba consistency or the flavor of my drink. I got a Matcha milk tea with boba, at 100% sweetness, 30% ice. I have had better tasting matcha drinks and better boba. It was chewy, not hard, but it didn't stand out enough. This was my first visit here and my first time trying boba. The girls working were helpful in picking something that would be to my liking. They allowed me to sample the boba to see if I would like it. While it was an acquired texture, the flavor wasn't bad. However, once inside of the drink I ended up trying to avoid the boba. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea which was very good. Next time I'll get it without boba. It almost tasted like a rich and creamy coffee with brown sugar. I'm so happy they are finally in this city! I used to drive up to Charlotte, atl and LA to get my boba fix. Love the location even though it is a bit far from where I live but every time I'm in downtown Columbia I stop by to get a large earl grey milk tea with 70% sugar, regular/extra ice and boba sometimes maybe extra boba. The boba here is my favorite part they make them very well! The staff here is awesome and very quick with orders. It's very clean and modern inside. Can't wait to come back and try some more. If you order the bubble waffle you will deff have to wait so please patient with the staff it normally takes time. read more

Came two days in a row with the boyfriend and got to try the a couple of the milk teas, a couple of the creme brulee drinks, and a couple of the rolled ice cream creations. Sounded odd, but the mango creme brulee latte was my favorite drink so far. The rolled ice cream was very good too. Creamy, slightly fruity, and stayed frozen for a long time unlike other rolled ice cream places I've tried. Service was quick. Interior was clean and dainty. I will begin with this is my NEW favorite boba place! I hate to say that I prefer this place over there corner blend. There are several reasons why 1) this place also serves rolled Ice-cream! 2) in my opinion they are more consistent with their smoothies (i order the taro 100% sweetness with rainbow jelly) bc they actually measure the sweetness compared to cornerblend. I'm also slightly biased because this place is closer to where i live. They do not have the popping pearls that i like but that is an easy thing to let go. By far the BEST boba spot in Columbia. The matcha bubble waffle had red beans inside of it, great combination of both. My daughter had the strawberry ice cream with sprinkles inside. You get to watch them pour the milk and mix fresh strawberries inside of it. I usually order a taro milk tea with boba at other places, but decided to try the mango yogurt & added aui jelly with boba. DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The drinks look great, but the taste of them are NOT that good. The bobas were a bit over cooked and not as chewy. The black tea was waaaaay too strong and didn't taste like black tea. The taro tea was not as great as king fu tea. Just basic drinks not worth $15 for 2 nasty drinks. read more

It's been about five months since I moved to Columbia and here I was thinking there are no bubble tea places like Kung Fu or Gong Cha, but I'm glad I found this place exists! The menus are the same as any other chain, but the only issue I have is two of the three times I've visited, they were out of bubbles; never had that issue with any of the other chains I've been to. There are plenty of seats for dining in and ample amounts of parking. Covid mitigations are in place and the staff are very friendly. Either way, despite my experience, you still get to experience good quality bubble tea. Great place to hang out, I do recommend people who want to try some good bubble tea this place. I've brought my friends here and they've never had bubble tea, but they all enjoyed it and the bubble waffle! read more

The best place for boba in Columbia! They were friendly and answered our questions. My daughter and I both had black milk tea with black Pearl tapioca and strawberry milk foam 50% sweet. The only real problem is consistency--I've been here 20+ times and I order the same drink/sweetness/ice level and yet it tastes different every time (in particular the sweetness level). I have had the biggest fiasco trying to use a gift card. I was given a gift card by a now late relative, and have been unable to use it after multiple attempts. I'm sure the products served are good, but don't get a gift card. My first attempt using it we ordered bubble tea which they then proceeded to tell me after making the drinks the gift card wouldn't work in the drink side only the ice cream side, so I paid for drinks. I went back last night to get ice cream and they said the machine wasn't working, and didn't try to work at all to figure it out and insisted on us paying with cash or card. I just got my rolled ice cream after waiting 25 minutes! The girl making my order had no idea what she was doing. I totally understand because it seemed like she was a new employee, but she had absolutely no support. Other employees kept walking by and not one would help her. She asked for help four times and each time they would just walk away. The employees got on their cellphones and walked to the back. Where was the manager who should have been by her employees side training her?? I will not return! I will not support a business who throws their employees into the deep end and allow them to fail.
