Eventually my refills were gone and it was time to bite the bullet. A friend recommended Dr. Lipperd, so I called to make an initial appointment. First, I was really happy that this is basically a stand alone location with a private lot. No parking decks, elevators, or long hallways to deal with. The waiting room was pretty crowded, but everyone seemed to be called in a timely manner. I met with a nurse, a nurse practitioner, and then Dr. Lipperd. All three were friendly and seemed to actually care. After discussing my medical history and current and past medications, I felt VERY comfortable with the entire group. I think I've found my new general practitioner.

He is extremely thorough and makes sure to find exactly what is wrong and as a bonus, he is big on holistic treatments so if you grew up that way as I did and prefer to find something natural before using western medicine he is the one to go to. She is knowledgeable, professional, and someone I have felt confident following medically. However, over the last couple of years, my annual appointments have consistently been with a physician assistant rather than with Dr. Leong. Unfortunately, my experiences with this provider have been disappointing. I have felt talked over during visits, not fully listened to, and at times treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I raised these concerns previously and was told I would not have to see this provider again, yet at my most recent visit I was scheduled with her again. The most concerning experience occurred when I became extremely ill. My wife called the office to request medication for nausea and was told that if we did not hear back, we should check the pharmacy. There was no follow-up call and no prescription sent. For a patient of more than two decades, that lack of communication and care felt dismissive and unacceptable. I still have respect for Dr. Leong, but the overall patient experience has declined. Long-term patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for -- especially when acutely ill. I hope the practice and anyone thinking of joining takes this feedback seriously.

I received a text yesterday reminding me that my appointment would be at 10:30 am today and to "pls arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork". I have never personally been to his clinic and was recommended to him by a relative who was nice enough to book the appointment for me. I googled his address and when I arrived and waited to get in, I was informed that he was now located at another location across the street. I drove there, waited in line to have my temperature checked, and was informed again that I was at the wrong building and needed to drive a half mile to the actual location of his office. My appointment was at 10:30 and I arrived and signed the sheet at 10:32. They informed me that I was too late to my appointment to be seen because I needed to really be there at 10 instead of 10:30 even though my appointment is at 10:30. I explained about the confusion with the address. They said they understood, but it didn't matter and that I would have to reschedule for another day even though I have waited 3 months. If in the message the said that it was 100% necessary for me to be there at 10 instead of 10:30 then I would have of course come at 9:45, but it only passively asks you to arrive early to fill out paperwork, which I WOULD HAVE DONE HAD THE ADDRESS ON HIS GOOGLE LISTING BEEN CORRECT! It no where says that it was a mandatory time of 10am in which case you should have it say "MUST BE HERE AT X TIME TO BE SEEN" in which case my appointment should have been at 10 instead of 10:30. We also had 3 months leading up to this appointment so if it was so important that I have this then why not email me the paperwork to have finished beforehand? I have never had this happen with a doctors appointment in my life and am completely thrown off at how unprofessional his staff acted. Very poor scheduling and handling of me as a new patient. I will not be back and do not recommend anyone to go here if this is how they handle their own error by not updating their address. I can't imagine how they would handle me if I had a genuine medical concern so please try anywhere else. He is apparently an amazing doctor, but that's moot if his office handles their business this way.

I only had to wait in the waiting room a few minutes before I was seen. My blood pressure and temp were taken immediately and I was able to see the doctor about 5 minutes later. All my information was on her computer so she could look back easily at my past test results. They have a lab on site so my blood was taken immediately. Checkout was quick and easy. Last time my doctor sent a letter explaining all my test results with the lab results attached. The whole experience was quick, easy. There is limited parking, but I have always been able to find a place without waiting.

The have the best doctors, nurses and overall service hands down, they show empathy and concern for the patients and their families. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. We have recently switched to the Grandview practices and its only up from here. My dad has the best care, they help him with resources for meal prep for diabetics and they are very hands on with explaining and helping patients with making steps to reach health life goals.
