I have nothing but positive memories at Corona Ice. This was my first job at 13 years old; then…read moreplus I lived down the street. Sal was the owner and a fierce leader - very old school but I learned a lot from him and met an amazing team working there. @JackM - Corona Ice sold Ice Cubes to Grocery Stores, Bodegas, Restaurants, Airports and of course the Block Ice for festivals, events and the piragua guys on the street (shaved ice drinks). May the deceased owner of this place - Sal RIP. He later passed on the business to his wife.

I grew up about 300 feet from Corona Ice Co. and couldn't tell you with any confidence exactly what…read morekind of business it is, or what they sell there. When I was very young I never probed the plausibility of an "ice store" very deeply. Though ice was something we could all make for ourselves in reasonably adequate quantities at home, and every bodega had all the ten-pound bags of the stuff you could carry, Corona Ice. Co existed. Why? By the time I was a teenager I appreciated that ice was something you needed more of on special occasions. And thus the implication became that Corona, Queens had to be a place where there were parties going on all the time. The problem with that, though, was that you never saw anybody walking out with any ice. As a matter of fact, you never saw very much at all of whatever was going on inside. As you can see from the picture I uploaded, it's rather inscrutable from the outside. I never once set foot inside, nor, even upon extended reflection, can I recall ever speaking with anyone who had. For being a true mystery, and for persisting unchanged through the decades, I salute you, Corona Ice Co, whatever you are.

When I was downsizing I sold many items through the store by consignment. I was very pleased with the checks that I received. Most were 17-18 pounds. After looking around for a local refill station, I went to Atlantic Bottle gas. They inspected my tank then topped it off. It definitely felt heavier. The guy told me that the exchange sites never have tanks that are filled to the top, as what I had previously read during my research. Maybe for safety reasons for their long storage or cheating the customers? No one knows. Atlantic's prices are way better than the competitors. I'll be going back to them again and again. Moving Right Along in Ozone Park…read more I recently used Moving Right Along for a very challenging move, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service. We had extremely heavy furniture that needed to be moved down and up large sets of stairs, and the team handled it with absolute ease. They made what should have been a difficult day feel completely stress-free. TJ went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly from start to finish. Eriberto, Briant, and Michael were equally outstanding--professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with every item. Their teamwork, strength, and positive attitudes made the entire move feel effortless, even with the amount and weight of our belongings. If you're looking for a moving company that delivers exceptional service and truly knows what they're doing, Moving Right Along is the only way to go. They exceeded every expectation and made a tough job look easy. Highly recommend!
