Let's no forget the fact I hate going to doctors in general. I had to he in pain and close to death to go to a doctor. As I have mentioned I've been coming here for about 6 years now and I have recommended lot of colleagues and friends here. All of my referrals always liked the visits and they have been happy! I came to office today after a year for deep cleaning again! Because of my habits and lifestyle, I need to get cleaning maximum once a year! I came with my colleague today, they were amazing as they knew we were tight on schedule and time so, they started our both process at the same time and we were good time! I got my deep cleaning, all of the stains from back of my teeth were gone! I'm super happy now! All these to the side! My colleague he is super afraid of the dentist and he was super nervous! I've been to many dentists over the course of years. Finding one that's symbiotic to your teeth…read morestrategy and oral microbiome gameplan, is a very personal process. Then you add insurance to the mix, and it becomes a challenging exercise. For me, Dr. Rostami DDS (Brentwood Dental Group) is likely one of the more qualitative dentists in Los Angeles. He has a lengthy dentistry teaching background at UCLA, he knows dentistry, and I find his knowledge and passion to project, treat, and control dental expectations, is of fine quality. He performed a filling extraction and replacement in one of my initial appointments with him, where he described the undertaking before, during, and after, like a seasoned expert in his field. Some experienced professionals just know their craft and practice so well, and they've seen and done most tooth procedures - he is of that ilk. His assistant Fery is also very capable and kind. Some might feel that some dentists/dental offices take too restrictive a stance on insurance coverage. We have to invest in our teeth! And if that means out of pocket expenditures at times, I'd encourage everyone to invite it and invoke best cost strategy to address your needs. Teeth play too critical a role in bacteria and cardiovascular health, and they impact so many bodily systems when care is disregarded. Dr. Rostami doesn't just clean teeth -- he provides oversight and care, he's excellent at diagnosing tooth challenges before they occur, he outlines best steps, he has solid colleagues to refer for additional care - and that's in addition to how well he performs his qualitative, decades-long knowledged procedures for your dental health at his location. He sets his own professional standard very high, and that proficiency means your teeth are in capable, experienced hands. In this reviewer's opinion, that's what you want in a dentist. If you want a comprehensive dentist that can outline strategy, define best methods of care, and can handle clinical needs and procedures, he's as proficient as they come. This is a passionate, quality-driven dental care practitioner. I thank him for caring as much as he does. I hope others can learn from his standard.

During the call, the dentist didn't come off very friendly and seemed a bit rough around the edges. He felt somewhat abrupt, and when you're working with special needs adults (and kids), patience and a warm, respectful attitude really matter. Because of that, I did leave the call feeling a little concerned about how my sister will be treated during her appointment. That said, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming maybe he was just having an off day. I'm hoping our next interaction is a better one. On a positive note, the woman who helped us schedule everything was very kind and helpful, which I truly appreciated. We won't be going into the office for a couple of months, so this review is based only on our initial experience. I plan to update it after we've had the appointment.

That level of honesty and ethics is rare to find. My dental cleaning with Venus was also exceptional! She was meticulous and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work. It was one of the most thorough cleanings I've had. The entire office staff was kind and welcoming. Ermy at the front desk was especially wonderful. These people are thieves, extortionists, and commit insurance fraud…read more I've been a patient here for 2 years. They were recommended to me by a coworker. Everything had been fine until my latest and last visit. Last year Dr Patel recommended I get some fillers for a few teeth. The vibe of this place is very sales-y. They definitely try to upsell you on things. Which I get, everyone needs to make some money. So I decided to get the fillings done. I had 3 fillings done last June (2025). They submitted the claim through my insurance and I paid the copay. Fast forward to today - 1 year later, June '26 - as i'm leaving my routine cleaning the front desk woman said I had a balance due on my account. I asked if she could just email me an invoice since I'd already spent nearly an hour there and had other commitments. I said I'd take a look at it as I wasn't sure why I would have a balance due. She pushed and said it's just $50.40 - As though it being a nominal amount meant that I should just pay it without knowing what I was paying for. I said that's fine, but I'd like to make sure I know what I'm paying for and will need to talk with my insurance. At this point of the conversation the man with the long hair and nose ring interjects into the conversation and starts demanding payment. He was practically yelling at me. It was highly unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Given that he was demanding payment on the spot I tried to ask clarifying questions but he would not answer clearly. He said that it's for services rendered and it's due today. He became increasingly hostile and combative so I left the office seeing as the conversation wasn't going anywhere. I figured they'd send me the invoice anyway and I'd get it sorted. They did indeed send a follow-up email demanding payment within 15 days or they'd send it to collections. Given that this was the first I'd heard of a balance owed on my account, I found it highly suspicious that they'd be so threatening. Note that I had a cleaning with them between my appt when I got the filling and the latest cleaning. Additionally they have all of my contact info and never once sent me an invoice. In any case I started combing through my emails from them, my receipts, and the insurance claims they sent to my insurer. Turns out they had fraudulently billed my Insurance for 4 fillings instead of 3, and the outstanding balance they claimed I owed was the exact copay amount for the 4th tooth. I reviewed the invoice again and noticed another discrepancy. The teeth they claimed to have filled were incorrect. What I find comical is that one of the teeth that the invoice reflects as filled is actually one that Dr Morim mentioned I should get filled at the appointment that literally just took place. With all that being said, I've obviously reached out to the Dental Board of California and i filed a formal complaint, I've notified my insurance of their fraud, and have contacted an attorney to explore other avenues of legal action that may be available. The thing that is most upsetting about this scenario is how they treated me. I've been a loyal client to them for 2 years, but it felt like they were treating me like some common thief trying to evade payment. Given that they destroyed all goodwill i had for them, I've obviously decided to find another provider. I highly recommend avoiding this practice. Though I'd be surprised if they still have a license to operate after I'm done with them.

Excellent Doctor, Very Frustrating Front Desk Experience…read more Dr. Mogharei & Dr. Morim are very professional, thorough, and attentive -- the care and check-ups are excellent. However, the front desk has been a major issue. I've been trying to get a pre-authorization for wisdom teeth surgery for 6 months now......and it hurts!! Every time I ask about the status, I'm told to contact my insurance myself, often with interruptions and a dismissive attitude. They've given multiple excuses for delays, but my insurance confirms they've never received a request. While the doctor is outstanding, the front desk's repeated mishandling and poor communication make the process unnecessarily stressful. The office needs to improve their insurance coordination and patient communication. --------------------- After posting this review, I received a call from the front desk saying I am no longer welcome at the office due to my review. And suggested me ti cancel my wisdom teeth removal appointment. First if all, I feel extremely uncomfortable to be contacted via phone for my review; Secondly,it is unprofessional to suggest a patient to cancel a surgery ( which is well needed) because patient's online review. And again during that call, I was interrupted multiple times and the tone felt dismissive. This unfortunately reinforces my original concerns. Finally, I'm shocked that my preauthorization remains unresolved after over six months, yet it takes less than a day to act on a negative review. Great image management!

Unfortunately, the front desk person tells me that even though I made Dr. Famili my HMO Plan provider and there was availability on their schedule, I couldn't be seen until February because I was not on their January roster. I may be new to this HMO stuff, but the roster protocol is ridiculous. I jumped through the hoops to be seen, why can't the office simply check to make sure I am covered like I said I am and give me an appointment. I'm angry because I don't like this system, but also because my darn mouth hurts!
