What a great experience! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I never thought I would get a tattoo but I suddenly got the fever. I did shop around, but Goliath was the only place that shared my enthusiasm for what I wanted. I had a specific design in mind and brought photos with me. Anthony was fantastic, he immediately knew what I was looking for and NAILED IT! He was patient with me and coached this nervous newbie through the process. Everyone who was in the shop that day stopped in to see how it was coming along. Very friendly and communal staff. They really make you feel genuinely welcome. First off let me say tattoo places can be very intimidating. My first impresssion from the get go was a friendly voice named jimmy who I called and asked if they accept walk ins. Then when I came in I was greeted by him and walked in and was blown away by how clean and nice it was. Jimmy did 2 of my tattoos. Then I also decided to get my Nose re-pierced and Kendra is the queen of that. It was painless and she did a great job at walking me through it. I was planing on tipping at least 40$ st the end but then i find out shading my tattoo is a extra 20$ thats a scam no matter how you look at it, you weren't advertising outlines, you were advertising tattoos. I booked my appointment and when I came back Jason had everything ready. He took the time to describe to me what he thought would work well with my old piece. I love this place and I have only been here two times. I got my nipples pierced last year by Kendra and she was incredible. She was so nice and comfortable to be around that any nerves I had, left right away. The studio is clean and they are set up well. Bonus points for all the beautiful crystals they have as it adds a peaceful vibe. This past weekend, I got a daith piercing by Rachelle (sorry if I messed that spelling up)and she was super fun, super bubbly and sweet. She eased my nerves and was just as thoughtful and kind as Kendra was. I had a few friends recommend the place they got their piercings done, but after their piercings were a few weeks old, they were actually crooked and did not heal well. I love Kendra so much! She first started piercing me on my 18th birthday, three years ago. Literally she went out of her way to give me a piercing on her day off and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I went in today (last minute) for a double high nostril piercing and Kendra got me and my best friend right in. From the beginning she was friendly and personable and answered our questions regarding jewelry and pricing. Their prices are more than fair and include a nice variety of jewelry. She really took her time to make sure my piercings would be even and lay flat against my nose. I really appreciated the fact that she took suggestions on placement from me and my friend. She was so nice throughout the whole process even though I kept having her redo the the placement. She made sure my piercing flattered the anatomy of my face and was to my satisfaction. She walks you through everything she is doing while piercing you which really helps you relax. It doesn't hurt that she had a nice calming voice for that . My experience here was great! Kendra was great! My best friends double nostril piercing also turned out great and we were both really happy when we left. The ONLY downfall, and it's a small one was that the jewelry I picked out was much smaller than the ones I ended up with. I had picked out a very small dainty little opal and what I was pierced with was much bigger and bulkier so I will be going in to see if there was a miscommunication on what I had picked out. That was the only negative thing and I'm sure it's an easy fix if I was pierced with the wrong jewelry. read more

UPDATE!!...A few weeks ago I was scheduled to get a tattoo done, but it never happened. My original review below explains why. Now back to my update. At the time when this happened I spoke with a girl that works the front desk and told her that I wanted my deposit that I paid towards my tattoo refunded since this situation wasn't my fault. She said she would have to talk to the owner of the shop and get his approval since they don't normally do refunds. So a couple hours later I received a call back and she explained that she spoke with the owner and that he would allow the refund because of the situation and the fact that his shop was at fault. She then told me that she would begin processing my refund immediately. Its been almost three weeks and I still haven't received my refund. Seriously!!! it doesn't take this long to refund someone's money. F**k goliath tattoo!!! I came in from out of state to visit friends here in AZ and me and my friend had plans to get tattoos at goliath. I scheduled my appointment just over a month in advance and the day of my appointment I found out that the artist I chose didn't show up to work because the artist thought I no longer wanted the tattoo even though I paid money down, sent all of my ideas of what I wanted and my appointment was still on their schedule. Seriously WTF..... if I didn't want the tattoo I would have canceled the appointment. So then we were told the artist would be back the next day and given the option to come back the next day, but because my friend had to work the next day we couldn't reschedule for that day. It was frustrating because we were already driving to the shop when we found this out and it was over an hour drive to the tattoo shop from my friends house. I also explained to them that this was my only time I had available to get the tattoo done before I fly back to Missouri. So my friend and I said "fuck it" and drove back home since the artist wasn't there. Don't waste your time with these people. read more

Came in bc I had nipple rings that were pierced incorrectly by another shop about two years ago & were still getting infected. Kendra explained to me in great detail on why this was happening and directed me to the correct barbells I should've had, & even gave me special barbell for one of them for a few weeks to help one of them heal. She changed them out and gave me the proper cleaning solution to clean them out with. She was definitely super knowledgable. Before I came to this shop I went to another shop that was just trying to sell me on these "special" barbells that's probably would've kept my piercing in the same state. Can't get better. I've been following my tattoo artist around for a couple of years so I stopped in yesterday for another one. Cool place! Filled with cool Caravaggio style artwork all over the walls and the individual rooms are all semi private which is nice. May May has done all of my tattoos (all 2 of them) at this point and I've been nothing but thrilled with her work. She throws her entire soul into her work and it shows. My first tattoo was a big peacock chest piece and has held up beautifully over the last couple of years, and this one looks like it will follow the pattern. The newest one is a rose in this realistic style and even half done it's gotten a ton of compliments. Would not hesitate to recommend this shop and especially this artist to anyone. read more
