Being curious about the Maltby golf clubs I bought two seven irons. Different models with different shafts. They were made and shipped in 10 days. Pretty fast considering I requested a handful of customizations to the club head, shaft and grip. The components are excellent quality. The assembly is top notch. Tested them on the driving range. Compared the two Maltbys against my Ping G400 iron. I hit the Maltby KE 4 Max 30% longer than the Ping. The Maltby hits the ball more consistently straight. The Maltby ball strike feels softer and more controlled than the Ping. I'm so positively impressed that I just bought the Maltby full set from 5 iron to lob wedge. The price for the order is close to $1,000 lower than a big name brand set of golf clubs. That's money saved to spend on a golf vacation. And I'll sell the Ping G400 set (8 years old) on eBay for about the same amount of money spent for the new Maltbys. Recommended! read more

Just wanted to add to this review. I went with the TS4 5 - GW after a full fitting. Received the custom order in less then 5 days. Added a 54 and 58 after emailing with the proshop matching the specs from my fitting. Great customer service and the clubs look amazing. read more

Terrific golf supply store! I have been a customer for 30 + years and they have always been excellent with their service. I recently (2026) built a set of irons and they are most excellent. My other iron club sets were Mizuno and TaylorMade and my Golfworks set is the best by par. Golfworks is top-notch! read more

They get one star only because I can't leave a zero. The worst customer service ever. One current order had the shipping label created 5 days before the 6, iron ferrules made it to the post office. Second order was for a gripping station. 5 days after they charged my credit card I called to ask why the product had not shipped, they told me they were reviewing the order for fraud. My credit card had already been charged and approved so who knows what they were reviewing. I called with my order number & they want to give you the run around to verify who you are. The shipping address is the same as the billing address and the order is on hold for review. The most incompetent people I've ever dealt with. I should have looked at the reviews that go back to 2023 about the horrible shipping and customer service this company provides. If you can find the same product anywhere else, buy it there. Ordered a 9 iron (lost mine) and requested a red ferrule. They called me and left a voice message (who does that in 2025). Try texting! Of course I didn't listen to voice mail. Long story short, they said they didn't have any red ferrules and if I wanted a red one I would have to purchase a dozen. I told I was disappointed that they could get me a red ferrule but do whatever it takes. Club was ordered on 4/19 arrived today 5/6 with a black ferrule and with the smallest midsize grip I have ever seen. Grip doesn't say mid size anywhere on it but the CS guy promised me it is midsize by the color???? read more

Bought a wedge and the club is great. Service and delivery time was fine. Then I ordered another club and I'm still waiting after a month. A couple weeks in, I asked about my order and was told that the head cover was on backorder. They could have notified me rather that making me contact them. And I'm still waiting with no further communication from them. read more

I ordered a shaft with a typical modern club tip, cut to a standard length with an in stock grip, and it looks like a little wait. I ordered it on a Thursday and they quoted me Monday of the new week 11 days later, ugh. Missed my new shaft for my new driver for my golf trip. All of the low ratings are bogus, this is a phenomenal business. I found golf works through a simple google search and ordered a driver shaft. I had an associate reach out to me on the phone and we had a 30 min conversation going through my preferences for the shaft. She was extremely helpful, they said the shaft would ship within 7-10 business days and it shipped in 7. I've been using Golfworks for years. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. Of course they have things go out of stock from time to time. Every business has that issue. The customer service has always been great for me. The prices are always competitive. They are usually a great source for things you can't get anywhere else. Their proprietary components are always top notch. Not every business operates like Amazon and ships things within minutes. I once ordered a set of irons built for me from the custom shop and still had them in 7-8 days. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to the whiners. read more

would only order from them if you have absolutely no other option and you don't mind waiting 1.5 to 2 weeks for your order. while their website promises same day shipping if you placed your order before 12:30, and 2 day shipping to the east coast, that is a fallacy. orders take 2 to 3 days to simply be processed and shipping takes about 2 weeks. they also do not include tracking info in your shipping email despite saying they would. if you reach out to customer service via email, expect crickets. you are much better off going with an actual established online retailer if you can't find what you need locally. UPDATE: Despite sending an email 3 days later saying it shipped, they actually did not turn it over to the post office for 1.5 weeks. Never again. read more

Have worked with for parts and sometimes custom assembly. Have custom shop, was instructor at Golf Smith. Have never had a problem. Need to know how to order from a parts catalog. This is the worst customer service group you will ever try to contact. nothin, no one answers the phone. The Ohio # just puts you back into a no mans land queue that isn't answered. i just dont believe there is a single person answering these phones. And they failed several times to remove an old email. Absolutely totally incompetent business operation! If you order anything from this company you had better nurse the order thru every step of the process! I ordered 7 shafts to be prepped and shipped to my home. I placed the order over the phone. I was told that the 4 iron shaft was backordered and would not be in stock until 3 months later, but that they would ship what they have in stock (6 shafts) now. They promised to let me know when the other shaft was back in stock. Five days passed with no word. I just called regarding the shipping status of the 6 shafts - I was told "Oh, you asked for shaft prep so they will be prepped and shipped around December the ninth when the backordered shaft arrives - it is now September! "Didn't they tell you that?" Hell no! "Well, we have to use a different order form if you want the 6 shipped now." Bottom line, it will now be almost two weeks before I get the shafts I ordered 6 days ago. This is not my first problem with customer service from Golfworks, but it definitely will be my last! Check daily on your order until you get a shipping notice! I just read some of the other reviews and I definitely can't agree. I've placed orders on-line with mistakes that I didn't catch till the next morning, called them, they made the adjustments and still shipped the order the same day. Any questions or problems I've had, either email or call them and problem solved or question answered. Yes, sometimes they are out of what I ordered, but things happen. We're making golf clubs, not saving lives, and that will happen when when you are depending on shipments from others. read more
