Customer service was the best. And then course was amazing. We went for 9 holes and one club member was added to our party of three who was a professional golf instructor/coach! The weather was fantastic and we had an amazing experience. Before we drove away, we were already planning our next visit! :) I highly recommend this place and going forward it would be my most favourite golf course in Edmonton! :)

We came at 7:50 even though it says they close at 8pm the owner was so nice and let us get a couple buckets of balls. We brought the kids to practise hitting some balls and they loved it here. The owner told us he just invested and upgraded the tee off mats and tarmac where you tee off. It looks so nice!! The greens you stand on are brand new and cushy! It's clean here and they even have flushable toilets. In the clubhouse (which is accessible with a ramp) there are some chairs and tables. It's slightly outdated inside the clubhouse but you're not really spending time in there anyways. There is a small store to buy Powerade and other things. And also a deck with some tables and chairs too. There are a few benches for sitting while you wait or watch people tee off. They also have a putting area to practise your putting on which is a nice addition. Overall this place is a great small business and was not busy at all which was really nice! We will definitely be back here all summer long. Check this place out if you're in the southside and looking for a sweet driving range. Reasonably priced as well!!

I have been to Billy D's many times before to just hit balls. The prices are reasonable. The parking lot is gravel but there's a paved lot right next to it. The facility itself has all the necessities. Every person who I have met working there seems very genuine and nice. Sometimes you need to wait a minute as they are giving tips to people who are at the range. The boxes worked well and being right handed, there were tons of them. The putting green is smaller if you're going there to practice that. In regards to our lesson, Bruce was awesome! He got to know us and worked together as well as individually. My husband's swing improved by 500% in just one lesson. I have done a decent amount of golfing but have picked up some awful habits. Bruce was able to zone into what parts of my swing were giving me trouble. I haven't hit the ball that straight... ever. We ended up booking a series of four lessons as we were so impressed. Even after our lesson was over, Bruce continued to check in on us which is pretty amazing. The range is located near the Costco on 91st. I almost didn't want to write this review as it's a little secret and never seems too busy. I changed my mind as I would love this business to flourish. If you want a casual but still professional place to go hit some balls or to have an awesome lesson, look no further!

It is a Par 58 short course with most holes being a Par 3 and some Par 4's thrown in. The course was in great shape and it wasn't very busy in the morning when I went. I believe the first hour or two are for seniors as well. Will be going back to golf more and practise that short and medium game!

As we were leaving we encountered a pair of employees restocking shelves, the male was super friendly and chatty, it took us a second to realize he had some type of mental disability. We thought it was really awesome to see that kind of diversity in the staff. Plus he was as excited about our purchase as we were! This store definitely has "Golf Town" vibes. No longer are you held hostage to inexplicably pricey pro shops, you just hop down to Golftown. This is a big box store, so it has some of those limitations, but also many of the advantages: They carry virtually every club, ball and shoe on the market from entry level to pro played. The amount of stock and seasonal nature of golf ensures a lot of sales and specials; they supplement this with special buys. Their regular pricing is not that much of an advantage, but if you're willing to wait later in the season or use last seaon's tech then you can count on some deals. They also have an indoor academy which is good, given we're socked in with snow for seven months. A few indoor lessons before the season starts helps get things off on the right foot in the Spring. On the downside, not all the staff is that knowledgeable about the equipment or the game. You can get a fitting session with one of the staff pros though, and if you're buying high end gear, that's the way to go. This is where your pro shop or independent will have an advantage, their staff usually play and know how to do a complete fitting. You have to make an appointment at Golftown. Though frankly, considering how expensive golf can be, it only makes sense to give Golftown a try.

The attendant verified she had three of the shafts and lots of taylormade tips. I said in left handed? She says it doesn't matter to which I responded it does to me and for resale it's better to have it as left handed. She came back and verified that she had lots of left handed taylormade .335 tips in stock. I asked is she could set it aside as it was a long drive for me to come get it and I didn't want it to sell out. She said don't worry we have lots. Well 1.5 hours later I get to the store and yes they have the shaft but this time I was told they have no tips not even right handed ones. After so begging they dug around and found one right handed one that was used but never cleaned when removed that I could get for a discount but I would have to remove all the old epoxy and whatever else was stuck in it. Not impressed an hour drive in and an hour drive home and didn't get what I called ahead for as I didn't want to waste two hours if they didn't have the right part that I was looking for. Amazon is 4 weeks for a left handed tip for those who will say just order on Amazon. Being a lefty sucks

The bike mechanic told me it would be ~ $110; anymore, and he'd give me a call before proceeding. This was on a Tuesday, maybe an hour before they closed. He had warned me that it might take a few days to work on the bike because they had been particularly busy that weekend. Thursday, around 6pm, he gave me a call, saying that the bike needed a lot more work, and, in light of how much said work would cost, asking me if I really wanted to go thru with approx $200 work on the bike rather than buying a new one. I really respected his opinion and honesty; and after talking to me for a while, I decided to go ahead with the $200 in repairs. The bike was ready for pick-up on Saturday. It was exactly the price he said ($200) and apart from not replacing the quick-release with another quick-release, all the work done on it was excellent. Thus far, the bike has never run as well. Would definitely recommend them and will return for future service.

Recently we purchased a child's bicycle and staff were so helpful in fitting the kid with a proper helmet and gloves along with making sure the bicycle fit properly. We were looking for bikes and one of my coworkers recommended this business. The place was huge, amazing, well organized with tones of products. I asked Lindsay for help and she spent about two hours with us. I tried 6 bicycles and in the middle of that, Calvin joined and the two of them helped us. Both Lindsay and Calvin were amazing! Friendly, honest and helpful! They did any possible thing to help us finding the bikes we wanted and were suitable for our skill level, heights and weight! For me customer service is the most important factor and I received one of the best customer services here! The place was well organized, the prices were good and I'll definitely go back there again for any sports needs. I highly recommend this business and Thank you Lindsay and Calvin for all the helps! :)
