I am not a scratch golfer, my best score was 76 at Red Crest, hence I am not a professional golfer. If I have to make a living by playing golf, I would be starved to death a long time ago, but I do enjoy the game of golf and also as a challenge to myself. With all due fairness, if you ask me to count out the top 5 driving range locations (not simulators) in my humble opinion within the GTA, Joshua Creek Golf would be in my ranking for many reasons. Nowadays with all the inflation and poor economy in our country be reminded, a Large Bucket (105 balls) is $17 tax-in and the golf balls are in good conditions. If you go up north, the driving range, I wish not to mention names, on Leslie St. and Highway 7 Markham, a Jumbo (105 Balls) is $27. Further up north at Bloomington Rd. and Bayview, the golf course's driving range will set you off by $19 for a bucket of 70 balls, but the 8 out of 10 golf balls are worn out to the point some of them you do not even see the dimples anymore. If you check Real Estate Pricing, Thornhill, Markham, Richmond Hill housing price are similar to Oakville, this means the cost of the land is similar but the other places are charging more. Unfortunately I do not practice off mats so I cannot comment on the condition of the golf mats, however, the grass condition is better than your $27 driving range since the line where you practice on gets moved almost every day so there are a lot less divots. Staff are knowledgeable and respectful. One thing perhaps I wish to remind folks, or at least the golfers, please treat the staff the way you want to be treated back. Respect is mutual if someone comes to your venue and right off the bat being demanding and entitled, I do not believe you will be entertained anywhere, period. I did read some of the comments left here before mine, and it seems people get upset for getting reminded not to pick-up the balls after they rolled away. Well, years ago I played on course and I got hit by a golf ball right in the chest and it hurts. So now my question to those patrons would be, do you have that much of a trust on the other players near you, when you go pick up the balls, you trust them enough not to shank their shots and not hitting you? Golf balls are hard, club head speed gets up to, well at least 80 MPH, so it is to your own safety not to pick up the balls. The driving range is here for everyone, also for the folks who runs it and make a living. Perhaps put yourself in their shoes for one quick moment, if they allow someone to hit the balls and then pick them back up and re-hit, there's no viable business models and the folks lining up behind your tee box waiting for you to finish your bucket would not be appreciating neither. There's a reason why Golf Domes in Markham are charging by the hour with unlimited amount of balls. It's a different business model. I guess all I'm asking for from other patrons is, to be considerate, it's not too difficult. Ok enough talking, time to go fix my slice. Cheers.

It's a shame to witness such rude reaction by staff to customer in front of others. Poor customer service and without pleasant discussion to customer. I will never go back to this driving range after witnessing such belligerent staff towards customer. 8 hours ago Staff/Owner accusing customer of stealing balls that rolled off the cement pad. Customer picked up the balls that easily rolls off the cement. Owner did not have a good view from the distance. Ball rolled off about 2 feet and customer picked it up 2 balls. Owner was yelling at customer and voiced out some profanities to customer. No professionalism whatsoever. I've never witness an owner/staff showed such belligerent action towards a customer. Owner accusing customer of stealing was unacceptable. Customer was still in the range property and the balls would be recycled back over and over again. I will never go back to this range again after witnessing such behaviour.

Parrish came up from the back room, introduced himself and asked how he could help. I am a fellow of 6'7" and quite barrel chested. He took some measurements, and asked about price range. With no expectations either way, he suggested a club, said it would need to be lengthened and regripped. He took it straight back and went to work. While he worked, the cast of patrons in the place could never be rivaled. All of these gentlemen knew their game, had helpful tips, not to mention jovial quips and jabs at each other. I inquired about how he got into the business, and he was happy to tell his tale. It was then I realized that this shop is exactly the way it suppose to be. The work of the club looked top notch to me and tho it is a used club it feels brand new. As i swing my now fitted King Cobra 5 iron I couldn't be any happier. After I asked for the damage, I felt his price to be reasonable, as I bought a club, had it fitted, sized, regripped, heck he even put a new decal on it! I will definitely be back to buy my first full set. I back any statement I have made here. A+++

I then went home and ending up purchasing about $170 worth of additional merchandise from their website (which they didn't have in stock at the Mississauga location). First I'll address what stopped me from giving this establishment a perfect rating. I would've *loved* to have given this place 5 stars but here's why I couldn't; they were completely out of free weights. Considering this is a fitness store, one would think they would be a bit more on top of their inventory stocking habits. Here's why *I wanted to give this place a perfect rating*; amazing customer service. Let's not kid ourselves, life is hectic. Working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week makes for a very difficult lifestyle when it comes to finding the time to shop around. After visiting the main website, I decided to contact the Mississauga location directly, via e-mail. I received a prompt reply from a gentleman named "Mark" (I won't give out his last name for privacy issues). I was *very pleased* with the prompt reply by Mark. One of my biggest beefs with companies in a day and age of the internet, is when people don't respond quickly. So his prompt replies really sat well with me. Notice I wrote "replies" (and not "reply"). That's because Mark and I communicated via e-mail *several times*, so I know this wasn't a one time exhibition of stellar customer service. After several e-mails, I decided that on my one (and only) day off from a hectic work week, I'd visit their Mississauga center. The store has a nice, clean layout to it. It wasn't messy (which is something that really gets under my skin when I'm shopping). I was greeted with a friendly "hello" from a gentelman named "Curtis". That's also a big plus for me. I hate it when you walk into a store and you're not given a friendly greeting. Of course, there's a fine line between a friendly greeting and somebody coming across as trying to be a pushy sales person as they stick to your side (leaving you with the impression they're just in it for their commission). I purchased a new olympic bench press and an olympic bar to go with it. Curtis not only took the time to answer my questions, but he actually helped me load my car with the bench press (and that wasn't easy) as I drive a mid-size car (Hyundai Elantra). Curtis was quite apologetic about not having the free weights in stock, but he communicated the reason why they weren't in stock in a clear and concise manner. He exhibited a courteous/empathetic demeanor which, believe me, working in a call center for 12 hours a day I know all too well about. That's why I judge customer service with such fine scrutiny. If I ever slip in my customer service trust me....I hear about it . Kudos to both Mark & Curtis. I just hope you guys don't let your amazing customer service skills go to hell when your clientelle base grows bigger. You have made me one happy customer; I will definitely be returning. Good job guys.
