I have specialty orthotics and struggled wearing the wrong shoes with them which meant they added little comfort and I had no clue why. I usually take hours shopping for shoes and can't find something satisfactory. Bev, working there, asked me if I needed help and I gave her the rundown with the expectation that she wouldn't be much assistance as has been the case in every other store. Instead, she blew me away by finding the perfect pair of shoes I needed. The second I tried them on my jaw dropped due to the comfort. She explained to me exactly why my current shoes didn't help (they weren't built for orthotics at all!) I was out of there in 20 minutes. Anyway I'm very happy. They train their staff well and ensure that they are familiar with the kinds of product they sell (she explained to me that's how she knew so much). A very worthy store of your dollars.

It has several nice holes, should have a higher slope than advertised, and can be fairly challenging. Because it is so poorly managed, there are golfers everywhere and your drive, even if dead centre of the fairway, is not necessarily safe from the common ball snatcher. They are usually overbooked, and parking is a nightmare. I once asked the pro shop "why don't you paint lines so parking can be organized" he replied "because then we'd have to put in handicapped spaces". Again, terribly managed. Golf elsewhere.

I though that was a lot more then I paid in previous years so I called Canadian Tire also in Aurora (same plaza actually) and they said skate sharpening costs $ 4.39. I thought that the price difference being more then double warranted letting consumers know about their options. So much for Play It Again Sports value proposition. I asked the Kyle (the manager at the time of pick up if they could match the Canadian Tire price but he said no he could not). Definitely going to Canadian Tire from now on.

You have to drive into the conservation park before you see the sign to enter the driving range. The park itself was still closed though from when we visited. I know that the site still says the driving range is closed due to COVID, but it was very well opened this past Victoria Day. The space for people to swing is quite limited maybe about ~20 people can fit. When we came around noon, it was close to capacity. People swing on grass so good to get a real feel on the course. However, if you're practicing your driver, you know that means many broken tee's that you'll have to supply yourself. Overall no complaints, the golf season just started, so I assume that perhaps later, it could get patchy from everyone swinging from it. There are no mats but guilding markers so people have to be careful to distance themselves along the ground for their swing to not hit each other.

We came at the end of the day on the New Year's eve and I forgot my purse when I was leaving. I only realized when I was on my way home when they called my husband's cell from my cell phone. Although the store was already closed, they waited for us to come back and pickup the purse. So very grateful. Awesome-awesome people!

So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.
