Had a great experience at Golf Galaxy today. I got a gift card for Christmas and went into the store at Christiana. The store manager provided exceptional customer service helping me choose a starter driver. Not only did he educate me on multiple clubs, but he allowed me to spend at much time trying each club on the indoor driving range. I will return. read more

This review is concerning THIS location: Golfsmith Deleware 1295 New CHURCHMAN'S Rd NEWARK, DE 19713 My wife and I visited this location on Sunday, June 14th, around 2:30-2:45 PM, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. When we entered the store, we were not greeted or acknowledged by any staff member. We spent a considerable amount of time testing multiple putters on the practice green, yet no one approached us to offer assistance, answer questions, or provide any guidance. My wife has recently gotten back into golf and was looking to upgrade some of her equipment. After trying several models, we selected an Odyssey putter and then began looking for a driver. Since no one offered assistance, I personally searched through the racks and gathered six different drivers for her to test. When I approached an employee near the hitting area for help, I was told rather dismissively that he was conducting a fitting and that I should find someone else. I then approached another associate, only to be met with what felt like annoyance and inconvenience for simply asking for assistance. The interaction was so off-putting that I seriously considered leaving without making a purchase. What made this experience even more frustrating was that we had visited another location just the day before and received excellent service. The staff there were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us make informed decisions. The contrast between the two locations was striking. Despite the poor service, we still spent over $600 on equipment. Unfortunately, the lack of engagement, customer service, and overall professionalism left a lasting negative impression. The staff seemed uninterested in helping customers and gave the impression that they would rather be anywhere else than assisting shoppers. I cannot recommend this location based on our experience. Customers investing significant money in golf equipment deserve knowledgeable guidance and courteous service, neither of which we received during our visit. read more

Took my grandson for his birthday present. He was looking for a new set of irons and wanted to try the Cobra DarkSpeed. He had an excellent fitting trying three shafts and adjusting the club's to his swing angle. Nice overall experience. read more

This place is great for gifts for that hard to buy for dad that happens to play golf. If he doesnt you out of luck unless you want to sponser a possible new hobby. They had a fair amount of deals going on, golf balls for a good price, they had a lot of clubs, i cannt really coment since i would have no clue what im talking about, besides there were a lot of them. Im sure you could find something if you needed one. They also had some used one which arnt bad if you need a club and dont wanna spend the cash for new I found some great stocking stuffers here for my pop, some tee's that claim to have less surface contact with the ball buy supporting it with what looks like a tiffany's setting on top of a golf tee. As well as this nifty golf ball suction cup for the back of his putter. All in all i would say this venture was a great succsess! read more

When I talked to one of the staff, not only did he look like he did not want to be there, he offered practically no assistance on information about what I asked about in regards to putters. Didnt care about the sizing, what putters were good, etc. Didn't feel welcomed. Felt like a lot of the staff was hanging around and felt like I was constantly being watched, very uncomfortable feeling. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a fitting and ordered a set of custom clubs from golf galaxy. They said it was 3 week lead time for delivery. I called after 3 weeks to check status and was told I would get a call back... I didn't. I called again a week later to get an update and after a few mins on hold, was told that Titleist had a back order on a certain shaft which wouldn't be in for another week from today ( now 5 weeks ) and that they wouldn't be shipped till probably 5-6 business days after this (6 weeks) and should see them a week later (7 weeks). I asked if we could change to a different shaft and why didn't anyone call me back when the back order happened. Or... why didn't anyone call me back after the last call I made to check status? The sales rep hung up on me. I was told 3 weeks, were maybe now looking at 7. Spending several thousand dollars here, I would expect a little customer service. Nope... I called the corporate office to get some help and was transferred a few times only to leave a message. Crazy disappointed in Dicks and Golf Galaxy. Let's see what happens... read more

While the store has a decent variety of new and used equipment, their clothing selection is poor and overly trendy. The worst part about the store is their empoyees. The "pro" fitting clubs is condescending and continually made negative comments about my swing and how it was so bad that he couldn't fit me. He even called another employee over to "see how bad this is". If you are a beginner wanting patent help, go elsewhere. If you want to have a challenge of whose golf balls are bigger, go here. read more

Absolutely as good as it gets. They support the local community extensively, staffed with real players of all ages and abilities and have the best brands combined with the technology to get you the equipment to play your best game. Aside from that, they are SUPER helpful when something goes wrong. Not even GG corporate offers such help. After 2 situations when I was left in the lurch, never again would I look to anyone but this location of GG for golf needs. Prices might be slightly higher than shopping on the internet, but the internet doesn't provide the same service, support or ability to try before you buy. Highly recommend and this is coming from a very critical buyer/customer that is expert level at internet shopping. read more

Customers BEWARE. I placed an order for golf clubs over the internet. First they shipped the WRONG items. When I called Customer Service they were useless they wanted me to get a return label, bring the return to a UPS drop off point, cancel my order and reorder the items, all on my credit card. I finally Emailed their Customer Service and received an answer. They sent me the return label, I still had to bring it to a store, and they were going to ship me the correct order. After a couple days I contacted them again by Email only to be told after another couple days that the item I ordered was no longer in stock. They could have saved me a lot of time and aggravation if they had just listed the items out of stock on their web site, not a difficult thing to do. Let me start off by saying I've never left a Yelp review. It's been a long time since I've felt somebody went above and beyond. Today I walked into Golf Galaxy in search of my first set of clubs (with the mind set that I wanted a nicer set that would last me for some time to come). I walked in and admitted I was in need of serious help the second I stopped foot inside the store. Michael, the General Manager, spent nearly two hours walking my through the process, letting me hit several clubs over and over and helping me decide on the best set which I was able to hit the best and met my budget. Great selection but absolutely horrible customer service. I have been there twice, and Both times I have been completely ignored. It is easier to go to Dicks or just buy the clubs online. read more
