My partner enjoyed it so much he's been back twice in the past two days! It's great if your competitive too as they have the certain yards marked so you can see how far you managed to hit the ball. I would recommend buying some gloves though as by the end of the day, my hands were covered in blisters But overall it was a great day, enjoyed by us all and I'm sure we will all be back again in no time and this time with gloves!! haha Free parking too which is great! And very close to the Trafford centre to grab a bite to eat afterwards.

It has target, so you can practice all sorts of shots. You can take your own clubs, or hire them for a small fee. You dont have to pay to use it, you just pay for the golf balls. It costs £2.50 for 25 balls, £4.00 for 50 or £7.00 for 100. Its open til 10:30 in the week and 9 at weekends, and you can stay as long as you want. There is also an American Golf shop at the entrance where you can buy your own clubs, clothing, balls, gloves and accessories. Fore!!

Reception area is small but nice , staff are friendly. Parking is reasonable though a bit hap hazard. First room was ok but either had just been painted with a voc paint which stank so they moved us to another room.. a walk along the many corridors and fire doors which is reminiscent of a government office building almost hospital like. Cheap painted walls and doors using the bargain colours. Small double room is two singles beds pushed together I'd call it more of a motel room than a hotel. The views in both rooms were disapoointing; one was into the next room. The other into a small courtyard, but no views which is a shame for a place on nice grounds They have WiFi but it doesn't connect on any of our devices. Ceiling in the room is those cheap office removable square tiles for lowered celings. One plastic bottled water and tea in room Very dimly lit room, which is good since the walls are dirty perhaps they're painting here next. Bar and restaurant all look nice The search continues for a northern hotel with good WiFi !

The level of service you recieve is second to none and all the waiters and waitresses cannot do enough for you. There is a fully equipped gym and leisure facilities there, as well as a superb golf course. There are several rooms available for private functions. The hotel facilities are of a good standard with a variety of price ranges. The parking is private and spaces are reserved for Golfing captain. I just cringed seeing all similar cars with privatised number plates and just thought ....you bunch of jockeys... but hey...people live how they wanna live so ...live and let live eh!! But seriously 5 black porche cayennes side by side with different number plates and different alloys....I just couldn't stop laughing. Any way let me tell you bit about the golf course. For those of you who know a bit about golf, this golf course is apparently one of the most challenging in the UK. The 6,817-yard 18-hole course been described as 'the Wentworth of the North'. There's also a wide range of practise facilities, including six practise bays, a two-tier putting green, bunker and pitching area and full video analysis. The course has a long history and was designed in 1935 and has many distinctive holes, of which the last four are the most famous - long, accurate drives over ravines and water, 90-degree doglegs, devilishly positioned trees and bunkers - all adding up to an exceptional challenge for even the best golfers. ie NOT ME!!! I must say though it was very peaceful and relaxing accompanying my friend round the course for a bit and then hitting some balls into the lake. The view from the outdoor driving rang was simply breath taking. Although I can imagine it might make some people feel slightly envious of all those art deco mansions across the lake. I was gawking at them half the time!!!!!!! They looked like they belonged to some hollywood producers..... However on second thoughts I veered towards the possibility that here sat the humble abodes of some United players no doubt. I personally.....didn't get it....and may not come again....but hey I am giving it 5*, because for golfers it does what it says on the tin. ...So Im down with that yknow what Im sayinnnnnnnnn!!!! boooyaaa

The swimming pool was warm and there was a separate jacuzzi area. The massage rooms were relaxing, and there is 10% discount on treatments if you stay at the hotel. The food in the brasserie was delicious and the staff were accommodating. The bar area was pleasant and the outdoor seating area has fantastic views of the lake. Definitely recommended for a relaxing break

This place has a pitch and putt that is super fun! And just $5 ea! It's great for all ages and abilities. The greens are artificial, so temper your expectations, but you still have to hit creative shots! The best thing about this place is the staff! the pro shop guys are unreal friendly and they make it fun and accessible for everyone! They will give you free rental clubs and free balls for the pitch and putt. I've been playing fir about 30 years and have never met a better staff. They took care of us, even though we weren't locals, they treated us so good. It really made our trip. The previous day we went to riyal Liverpool for the 151st open championship(amazing!!!), but we got absolutely drenched. This was a great way to end the trip. And just 7 pounds for 100 balls, great prices!

The driving range is good (although some bays do lack tee's) and the pro-shop is well stocked. However the gem of this whole place is the 9 hole pitch and putt course. It is set out like a mini championship course with proper doglegged holes, bunkers, water, everything!

They don't keep rope anymore and instead tried to sell me a hill walking stick with a spike on the end. Sorry but I wanted rope. Thenstaff are pretty useless and couldn't answer even the most basic of question. They didn't even know exactly what they had in stock. Much better going to the Outdoor store a few streets back in Blackpool, they know their stuff and are more specialised.
