It has a nice community pool and beach area for swimming- which is very clean and little to no seaweed or debris. They also have a a bar area by the beach to get food and cocktails at. From a visiting perspective, unless your house offers certain amenities there is not too much to do here, no jet ski or boat rentals. You cannot bring your own Jet Ski or boat unless it's registered within the town. Fishing is catch and release. Definitely bring your Kayak or Paddle Board if you have one. This is also a land where Ubers do not exist and food delivery is extremely limited. Roads are dark at night so it's not convenient to drive to a bar and back home if you have been drinking. Our group wound up bringing a ton of food and liquor for the weekend and had a great time but I would say to definitely come here prepared and know what you are expecting. It was a very relaxing weekend overall.

He would randomly drop down to say hello and it made our hearts melt. When feeding time came around he was the main attraction. Seeing the kids interact with him paid for the price of admission. The kids loved the cockatoo's and any other bird that would talk. Watching my five year old try to have a convo with them made us laugh. They had a lot of gorgeous animals - lynx, cute prairie dogs, male and female African lions, jags, leopards, a tiger, bobcats, etc. The Eagle Owl they had was one of my favorites. What a beautiful animal. Stunning. They have an enclosed reptile area with over a half dozen snakes, lizards and a few spiders. The bathrooms were large and kept up with for the most part. The trails were easy to follow, so I'd imagine it's hard to get lost. The staff was nice, seemed passionate and caring for the animals. Cons: Only one bathroom near the front entrance. It's not a huge park, but it would be nice to have more options. Lack of flat pathways. After days of rain there were lots of puddles and running water because the park is not totally flat. Rocks and roots are exposed so be mindful if you're not steady on your feet. Some of the animals are hard to see because the protective plastic was fogged up. May have been the temp changes. Their food area could use a face lift. They offer food for eat in but we passed and found someplace outside the park. Their retail store had a lot of items (tons of stuffed animals) but we skipped this go around. We would return. The kids enjoyed the park. We spent about two hours there and felt it was worth the money. Remember this is a small zoo in the Poconos, not a large City zoo. Thanks guys!

That meant we launched at 1:28. The man at the dock was nice about saying we could take an extra 15 minutes on our outing, I think they should have have the system set to have the rentals give 1/2 hr between to make sure the groups are not standing around waiting with a group of little kids in tow. That was the only negative in our day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every one of them was smiling. There was not a great deal for them to do except explain the rules to you, which they did well. Once you arrive you need to clean out the boat and carry your lifejackets back to the tent. (very reasonable request) You should bring cash to tip or you can check a percentage box on the last iPad you are given to sign. Have cash on hand to pay for the gas that you used when you arrive back on the dock, or you will be charged a 3% card charge. We had a spectacular day on the lake, so much fun. Much of the credit goes to the weather but this rental was perfect for our needs. If you have kids - spring for the extra money and get the slide!
