Basically they use Zocdoc to get a bunch of patients in and then cancel anyone who books when the doctor isn't available, which is a relatively small percentage of the time compared to what you are able to book online.

The doctors have made themselves completely available during office visits and during off hours. My sons are already teens so I have a lot less middle of the night calls. However, my youngest had circumstantial asthma and W. 11th has always been there for us whether we need emergency refills or when we have urgent calls to describe other symptoms. Our old Pediatric office wouldn't even call in a refill for an forgotten/unpacked inhaler when we traveled. They always wanted us to have to come in for a visit first and pay $150.00 a visit because the didn't accept insurance- plus the doctors were complete pills to deal with themselves.

The medical center at her boarding school had not diagnosed her properly. As soon as she got home on a school break, I could see she was very sick. I took her for an emergency appointment on a Saturday morning. Dr. Agliano stayed in the office and waited for us to get there. He was excellent. He took a full profile of her case, and with some good auscultation, diagnosed her with walking pneumonia and prescribed the necessary antibiotics. We have been very happy with the care at West 11th Street Pediatrics over the years.

I asked the receptionist how long a wait there would be (as I had a painful foot issue) and after checking she said about 45 minutes. I couldn't imagine standing in a hot waiting room for that amount of time. The very nice gentleman in the wheelchair offered to try to maneuver his wheelchair so I could get to the blocked seat. Anyhow, when I decided to leave I was asked if I wanted to reschedule??? What? I was scheduled. Don't schedule so many appointments near the same time to try to avoid this issue. At least offer me some room to sit in instead of having me stand for a long amount of time. I did like the doctor, but it is not worth it if I have to stand in a hot room for with an aching foot/ankle.

Loved my visit to Dr. Isaacson's office! Located at a pretty convenient spot near the 6 train…read more I'm always super nervous when I see a doctor in the US, since there are just way too many things that could go wrong (especially insurance issues...The last time I visited another podiatrist, the receptionist tried to charge me over $250 for a quick consult!), but this was a great visit! The receptionist was SUPER friendly and nice (though I think the office manager was out sick that day...so not sure who was there, but it was the same person that took my blood), and I got to see the doctor within 20 minutes of being there. Dr. Isaacson makes you feel really comfortable and makes sure that all of your concerns are addressed. He also keeps the conversation light, so you kind of forget about being nervous :) When they took my blood, it was also super fast and painless, even though I don't have the easiest veins haha (props to the nurse!). There was no fuss about how much my copay was, which was a relief! Glad they took the time to really check out my insurance and make sure everything was OK.

I adore Physician's Assistant Toni Santiago, she has to be one of the best doctors I've ever met…read moreand is also just an all around great person. She's patient and funny, enthusiastic and understanding. Most of us have experienced doctors who are dismissive and impatient, she couldn't be farther from that. Natalie at the front desk is also fantastic! Upbeat with a fun personality, I honestly look forward to coming in just so I can see the staff here, it's that real. Also love that they play Jeopardy in the waiting room - shout your wrong answers with no shame! I've been to three locations of NY Allergy & Sinus Centers and while they've all been great, this one is my favorite. It's never fun dealing with allergies, thankfully they made the process as smooth as possible. They uploaded all my allergies to a site/app called SkinSafe that is a total game changer! You can scan products by barcode and it will tell you if it's safe for you to use - this is essential, there is no way your brain can remember the hundreds of different scientific names of the ingredients your allergic to. I can't recommend them enough :) And their bathroom is really luxurious, if that matters to you.

Oufff... where to begin…read more Okay, so, I'm hopeful about the treatment I'm about to start, but the customer service was slow and unhelpful. 1. No staff member (or specialist!) knew anything about prices, so forget about trying to know how much any given treatment is about to cost. Is it $800 or $8,000? Its a surprise!!! (It was over $1,300 for me- no meds) 2. I waited for almost an hour even after having a set appointment. AN HOUR WAIT! I consider this to be disrespectful. This was at the Chelsea location, but at the UWS location they also made me wait for over 20 minutes after my consult - apparently (this is real) they had to calculate how much to charge me for over 20 mins! Anyway, I hope the treatment works (it better at this price and treatment). Friends told me I was likely being scammed. So if you can look elsewhere, do that- I wish I had. Update: understanding that if the treatment works like a charm, this could have been worth it, i'll update my review if this is the case. Until now, I cannot say it has been worth it, and I hope that changes.

Our experience with Dr. Behbakht has been outstanding and stands in clear contrast to the larger,…read moremore impersonal practices in the area. Many parents will recognize the difference when they've dealt with those high-volume offices. She is a highly experienced pediatrician who has cared for multiple generations of families, and that depth of experience shines through in her clinical judgment, consistency, and calm, steady approach--even when issues are complex or multi-layered. What truly distinguishes Dr. Behbakht is how seamlessly she blends deep medical expertise with warmth, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to each child's overall well-being. In our many visits, it is evident that she stays current with best practices and provides evidence-based care, yet she never lets a checklist overshadow the unique child sitting in front of her. Each appointment feels thoughtful and individualized, with careful attention not only to immediate symptoms, but also to the child's development, comfort, history, and long-term health. Metrics and efficiency matter, but never more than the patient. The focus stays exactly where it belongs: on the child. Equally remarkable is how she works with parents. She takes the time to explain, educate, and guide, so that we leave each visit feeling informed and confident in the decisions we are making for our child. Questions are genuinely welcomed, and the tone is always collaborative rather than rushed or transactional. This has been especially meaningful given our past experiences with larger practices, where rigid scheduling and operational targets can overshadow patient care. In those settings, even small delays can lead to rescheduled or canceled appointments, with little appreciation for how difficult it is for parents--especially those navigating early visits with a young child--to arrive exactly on time. That kind of inflexibility can add unnecessary stress to an already demanding process. By contrast, Dr. Behbakht's practice shows real understanding, flexibility, and compassion. The office manager, Katherine, is also wonderful--responsive, helpful, and consistently reliable, which makes the entire experience smoother and more reassuring. This practice respects both the needs of the child and the realities parents face, creating an environment that feels genuinely supportive rather than bureaucratic. It is the kind of patient- and family-centered care that many organizations promise but very few truly deliver. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found a pediatrician who combines clinical excellence with genuine care and who consistently puts children and families first. Thank you, Dr. Behbakht!
