I was called back to the patient room at 10:00 a.m. and the medical assistant took my blood pressure, checked all my records, and said the Dr. would be in shortly. At 11:30 no one had come in the room. I had to keep waving a motion for the lights to come back on the room. I went up to the front desk to find everyone standing around. I asked if I was going to be seen any time soon. They all looked at me with a stare of shock. I said, "I have been in the room for 1 1/2 hours." Shortly after, the medical assistant came in and said, "Your appointment was 11:15." I said, "No, it was 10:00 and I had many calls and texts for appointment reminders and if it was for 11:15, why did you take me to the patient room at 10:00?" He walked out. The Doctor came in and said, "I apologize for the mix-up. How are your legs?" I said, "I'm here for an annual cardiac appointment." He said, "If you need a medical clearance, I'd be happy to write you one." I said, "How can you write me a clearance if you haven't evaluated me? I do not need one, but, how can you do this? I am here for my annual." He said, "Are you having chest pain or concerns? I can get you an ekg and ultrasound scheduled for another day, no one is available right now. I won't charge you for this appointment." Well, my insurance was charged and I just received a late notice invoice. I would think twice before you go to Panchel. He is all about vein treatment now and not so much cardiac.

A perfect example of why your healthcare system is broken and borderline fraudulent and needs some…read moreserious auditing. I was there for a followup visit in March and found out that my amazing Doctor was heading to CT at the the end of the Month. In April I realized that I will need a refill for my prescription which is handled by Caremark. So Caremark called for a refill and no one called them back. Over a 2 week period I received 3 automated calls from Caremark stating they were unable to get a response from cardiology partners. So finally I called them. They told me I needed to come in to see the Doctor for to get a refill prescription. I told them I was just there about 3 weeks ago! By law they can't refill prescriptions if your Doctor left the practice, fine but I maintain I was just there about 3 weeks ago not 6 months ago. I will not spend my money and CIGNA's money for no reason! This is my eyes was an attempt for them to take another swipe at a CIGNA card and collect money. And in my eyes fraud. Also another outlay of my money for no real reason. I did file a complaint with CIGNA but doubt that anything will come of it. This is why your healthcare system is BRO-KEN! It took decades to break and no administration will ever be able to fix it regardless of what policies are in place or what they promise to put in place to make it "better" for individuals. ALSO the phone number listed on the website for the corporate office belongs to a private individual. Makes me wonder how they function on a daily basis. The issue was resolved and Caremark did send a refill but no one should have to fight for this if the situation is reasonable and honest.

On May 31, had a severe abdominal pain accompanied with projectile vomiting; I called 911. The…read morerescue squad took me to Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach. By that time the pain had subsided. Hospital did not take any tests, recommended gastro physician and follow up with my GP. The next morning I called my CLEVELAND CLINIC in West Palm Beach, GP, Dr. Hoffman. Her assistant, Violetta said she was on vacation, and that they had the hospital info; she said she would call me back tomorrow as soon as she spoke with the Dr. covering for Dr. Hoffman. The next day June 2, Violetta called me, said she spoke with Dr. Hoffman, who was in. Assistant advised me that Dr. Hoffman said she would see me on next appointment, June 22, and that if I had more stomach problems to go to the ER, she was not going to address the stomach problem. I explained to the assistant that I could not use the ER as my GP, and that ER visits were expensive; I would be seeking another GP. I am so very disappointed after researching my symptoms, "Other conditions are more serious, and your provider may recommend treatment. It depends on the cause. Treatment may include: Over-the-counter medicines, like Pepto Bismol® Pain medication H2 blockers Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) Antibiotics IV fluids Tube feeding Surgery Cancer treatment" The above is from CLEVELAND CLI NIC web site. I tried to speak with the WPB CLEVELAND CLINIC Administrator, was told by Ashley that she did not have this information. I called CLEVELAND CLINIC'S headquarters in Ohio in order to advise them of the neglect I was getting from my GP in WPB. Apparently CLEVELAND CLINIC does not want to address complaint issues; the first person I spoke with, Brianna, hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a hostile Janine, who said she would have an ombudsman call me back. It is my opinion that DR. A. Hoffman and CLEVELAND CLINIC accepts Medicare and insurance but does not want to do what is necessary for their patients. I had another severe stomach pain attack on June 24. Now I am afraid to eat and am without medical resources.
