After years going from Doctor to Doctor with no results I was speaking to someone at Dr B Wells in Plainview and they recommended that I see Dr Belfiore. When I went to my appointment I waited less than 20 minutes which is not long at all, my second and third appointment there was less than a 10 minute wait. The staff are very nice and pleasant. Dr Belfiore is very nice, he explained things to me in a way that I could understand and even sketched on a notepad to give me a visual. What Doctor does that? None that I've ever gone to. He didn't rush our time together. He looked me straight in the eyes when he spoke to me. I have much respect for him even after reading these reviews. Nothing will change my mind about Dr Belfiore. I will continue to see him and recommend him. What sealed the deal for me was when he told me about the close professional relationship he has with another doctor that I really love and respect. They have the same work ethics and the same diagnosis and treatment approach.

We drove 45 minutes to get there. We checked in, filled out all the paperwork, and then were informed that actually, they made a mistake and they have not accepted our insurance for several years and could not see us. Terrible experience. I have worked in medical reception and this is unacceptable.

He does not rush to prescribe quick-fix pills and instead first promotes healthy lifestyle like good diet and exercise, but when medications are needed, he doesn't hesitate. And with his help, I finally quit smoking after more than 50 years of being a smoker. His staff is great -- the front desk people are somewhat quiet/reserved in style but they are totally professional and helpful any time I call for something or go in for an appointment. And the two Nurse Practitioners -- Sarah and Chenelle - are absolutely wonderful and thorough in their examinations. Reminds me of going to our family dr in the 60's & 70's.... Dr. Harry Abe in Wantagh. In fact.... I haven't found a dr that I liked as much... until I found DR Levitz. The office is located in the Chase Bank bldg on the north side of Merrick Rd. Suite 300. The office is definitely NOT fancy at all. Far from it. But.... She is amazing. Soo caring & very thorough . She'll call you after hrs & always seems to be available. She's not a prescription writer so if you're the type looking for pain pills...she's not the Dr for you. She's very "by the book" & always looking out for your entire well being... Physically, mentally etc. She also offers a vitamin IV treatment. I've done it a few times & I did feel healthier afterwards. I've turned a few friends onto Dr Levitz & they go several times a week for the IV treatments. All in all....
