My lifestyle has changed including how I eat, what I eat, and when I eat. Corey is a great guy that is there to help and his staff is wonderful. He continues to push everyone and looks for you to push yourself. If you are motivated to change your life to get healthier this is your place. Make no mistake this only works if you are willing to change your lifestyle.

So I attempted to give my notice right away they said " no that's not how it works. This is a business " so basically you have to pay for another 28 days. Also don't try and buy this as a gift for a friend or family member. They claim they need to person who is receiving the gift needs to provide all of their credit card info - basically so they will be locked into a billing cycle. They were claiming is was for the waiver reasons- when I said he will sign the waivers but is not gonna give you his credit card info - I reiterated this is a one time gift for the 28 day program you advertise- so as far as fitness - I can't judge. As far as business- read the fine print and be ready to pay. Also they should state can't be bought as a gift. Must be purchased by participant. Corey you explained it much better here than on the phone. My only question is about the 28 day advance requirement for cancellation. You said within 21 days to cancel but if you don't you're locked in automatically to the next 28 days correct?

It's taken me a while to enjoy the full benefits of this gym which is very large. Now the I'm retired and covered under CDPHP, my gym membership is free. I finally started taking pool classes. I've even stayed behind after classes to use the Lazy River which is awesome. It's a steady current which works just like those in the water parks. Well, the Lazy River is currently under repair until further notice but the huge waterslide is working. I decided to give that a try the other day. It appears to be a couple of stories high with steady water jets blasting you through the ride. For the center to open the slide there needs to be four lifeguards on duty as a safety precaution. I spoke to some of the lifeguards before taking the plunge. They advised me to lean forward to slow down and lean back to speed up. I did a combination. When I splashed down, they were very nice to check on me. I got two turns on the slide before the lifeguards had to go to lunch and the slide was closed until they returned. The Ciccotti Center has great features but some like the slide and Lazy River are expensive to maintain. They're so fun. It's certainly a stand out workout facility.

When asking about any issue, you're told to speak to management. Where are they? Not in their office or helping their staff. They're in the gym working out with headphones in. Avoiding work, avoiding staff requests, avoiding customer relations. And if you do manage to get the chance of an interaction, they are rude & dismissive. This facility could be nice, but it's being run into the dirt. You're better off looking elsewhere.

Overall a great gym. I am closer to the Crosstown location, but I have been going to Fuller Road…read moremore since people wear their masks at this gym, so I feel a lot safer. Fortunately, I will have my second COVID shot in a few weeks then I won't worry so much about killing a friend or family member. What risks others are willing expose their loved ones to is on them. I've only gone to the Central Ave location a few times and that was before COVID. Staff: Once again I give high marks to the staff. I think the staff is great at both locations and better than other local gyms. I've been other gyms such as Crunch and I couldn't ever be a member somewhere with such untrained and unprofessional staff. Crunch has good leadership but how well subordinates are trained is a direct reflection on the manager. The trainers and manager are very engaging at Fuller Road. Equipment: I prefer the equipment at Crosstown because there is just more equipment and more variety. Fuller Road has a good mix but mostly has Matrix equipment. I have filled gyms with some Matrix equipment before and they make quality stuff. However, all their benches are big, heavy, and wide. They are probably the perfect choice since they can accommodate larger people with no issues. They are too wide for me to get a decent stretch when doing any type chest press/fly etc. Also, they are hard to move around. My issues are totally subjective of course and it is better than having cheap equipment that is always falling apart. Layout: I did prefer Crosstown with the nice open layout with the TRX and area to do calisthenics etc. However, they doubled the turf area which I had never had one instance where I had to wait. Not a problem but they may have cut the TRX in half and moved it (this may have changed, and I will update if it has since the remodel may not have been completed). When I did go, I had to wait 20 minutes to use the TRX since you can't distance yourself from people and use it like you could when they had the full setup. Fuller Road is smaller, but they use their space much more efficiently since they have no other option. They have a good flow with everything still open. They literally use every square foot to their advantage. I'm glad there are options with Best Fitness in terms of location. I will say Fuller Road doesn't seem the type of place to leave a broken hand sanitizer station up with no sign for weeks (after being told about it three times). That is good because I can't take much more of that. Once I'm immunized I will go back to splitting my workouts more evenly, but I am happy I have somewhere to go that reduces my stress instead of sending my cortisol levels through the roof because of people going through their ENTIRE workout without ever once putting their mask over their noses. So thank you Fuller Road! **I will say it seems as though the owners have checked out and are retired/absentee owners. I have never seen such low ratings at a gym (Albany and crosstown locations) since they created Yelp and other review sites. If i had those ratings as a manager where I used to work I would be fired. In all fairness though, many negative reviews are from their used car salesman tactics when people try to quit. It's too bad, but those are the most consistent reviews for all three which is all on the owners. Shame.
