DO's for general medical and family care are BETTER! They are trained extremely well, think things out and trained to look at your body as a whole being and aren't just saying, "yeah, ok, let's write you a script, and never find the root cause. Primecare of Novi knows how to care for people and children. I also like the fact that there are a few women in this practice. Every one of these doctors is super nice as well.

She did two procedures on me & the first one I couldn't walk for almost 2 weeks the second one yielded no results. When I went into the room and I asked if I needed to take my shoes off I was told "Oh no, you won't even need to get undressed." This was for a piriformis injection, something that is typically done with some sedation and definitely more sterile procedures then what I experienced there. Not only were the procedures very painful and really needed some sedation but the doctor was totally unfriendly and didn't speak a word to me. The doctor that did my EMG (Kachadurian) talked to the resident the whole time and didn't speak to me at all. When the EMG procedure was almost over, almost as a "parting" gesture, he stuck the needle through my hand, and I mean almost THROUGH my hand. I really doubt that was necessary. You can tell he gives his patients as much time as they need when helping them understand their problems and their options. At some point he recommended trying PT again and I decided to stay with Core in Novi. When I started Casey did my intake. I was very nervous, after dealing with this issue for so long and having no success with PT. She was very calm yet confident and started me on a program. I came to know Stacie and Jenna (they work with Casey on a team) they both were friendly and supportive. After a few weeks I wasn't showing signs of progress so Stacie told me I may need to go back to the doctor and explore other options. I was disappointed but SO grateful. I spent months at other PTs with no results and I was always pushed on. Stacie's honesty I think what lead to my finally getting better. After talking with her team, I was discharged and went back to Dr. Slesinski. He carefully explained my options and I ultimately decided to have surgery. An option I hadn't been given until Core PT urged me to go back to my Doctor. My surgery was performed by Dr. Kesto this last November and after I week I returned to PT at core. Casey, Stacie, and Jenna were again patient with me but urging me to push myself when appropriate, changing up my program to address my needs on particular days. And after a few weeks I got stronger. They did the best they could to keep me in PT for as long as I needed but eventually I had to be discharged. And I was kind of sad. Casey, Stacie, and Jenna made me happy to come to PT. By January I was in better shape than before I had my surgery. I'm very pleased with the results. Throughout my experience with core nearly every receptionist, nurse, assistant.. etc was patient and kind. I highly recommend Core Institute and if I every needed treatment again I would return there myself. I felt more taken care of there than with any of the previous providers I saw.

I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

I first chose his office because they were open to discussion regarding vaccinations. Together, we've made a schedule that works for us. We've also been seen by Michelle Hass, PA-C. She also provides great care. Since originally choosing their office primarily for my daughter, I've since started seeing them myself as well. They've been great with scheduling appointments for my daughter and myself back-to-back.
