As I'm about to do some International travel within the next few years, I found a great brokerage…read morefirm, notice I didn't say bank, but it's a bank, and it's not! Confusing huh?? I'll break it all down for you in this review. Description: Charles Schwab is an online bank. They have no ATM's which is why when you use their debit cards, they don't charge you. Which means any ATM that does charge you a fee, Schwab will return your fees at the end of the month. That's what I love! Rather you're in the US, or Southeast Asia, your international fees will also be reimbursed at the end of the month. Where to use: You can use the debit cards anywhere around the world without any international fees. Just make sure to call them before you travel or move abroad. If you plan on moving abroad like I do, call them so they will then set up an international account for you because they are also international in some countries. Doesn't matter where you move, you're covered! Pros: 1) No international nor local transaction fees. That's already a winner in my book. 2) You're given a brokerage account on the side where you can use it to buy stocks or bonds or just use it as a savings account. However if you decide to start investing, call them and they can do it for you if you don't know what you're doing, with a fee of course. 3) Return all transaction fees you were charged at the end of the month. 4) After you open your account online with at least a $1, they send you your debit card. After you deposit $100 or more, they will send you your check book. Cons: 1) No ATM machines 2) You have to make all of your deposits online, you can also fund your account with Apple Pay. 3) If you go to a branch, you can't deposit any money there as it has to be done online. Final thoughts: It's nice to find a bank or brokerage, whichever you want to call it with no transaction fees no matter where you go. You can also set up direct deposit for your account. There is no bank that I know of that will return your transaction fees let alone not charge you for using a different ATM. As I've stated earlier, the only reason they don't charge you is because they don't have ATM's in the first place. This place is a clear winner in my book! If you plan on traveling abroad, I highly suggest starting an account with them. They will save you so much money in the long run.

LOOK FOR ANOTHER ACCOUNTING FIRM!!…read more CLIFF BRAY IS ABHORRENT. DO NOT hire him as your CPA & RUN AWAY FAST if you are considering him for ESTATE PLANNING, EXECUTOR of a will OR TRUSTEE. **I wouldn't even trust him to hold my lunch money while I quickly ran to the restroom. He does not return phone calls/voicemails and he schedules meetings which he does not show up for and has even gone so far as to sneak out the back entrance to his office, get in his truck and leave the premises to avoid communication - especially when an urgent matter is requiring his attention. Numerous times he has said (in an email - since he NEVER returns phone calls) he will call on a specific date, but he NEVER follows through. When we call to follow up (since we did not receive a return call from Cliff) we find out HE LEFT FOR VACATION and won't be back for a week!! This exact situation has happened AT LEAST 4 times already!! *****UPDATE: As of 6/5/24, the number is now 5. After scheduling a meeting on 5/20/24 (which he did not show for) and after repeated emails and phone calls for 2 weeks after his "missed meeting," Cliff finally responded with ONE email stating he'd be available for a phone/zoom meeting at 10am today (6/5). Apparently at 4:20pm, he had his secretary send an email stating Cliff won't be in the office the rest of the week because he's "going on vacation" and needs to reschedule the meeting (a PHONE meeting) for 6/12. SO LET'S RECAP A meeting was scheduled for 5/20 Cliff is a no-call / no-show Cliff doesn't respond to follow up phone calls, voicemails or emails for 2 weeks. He finally emails on 6/4 and schedules a phone call meeting for today, 6/5 at 10am - but later in the afternoon on 6/4, has his secretary cancel said meeting because he's now ALL-OF-A-SUDDEN, "going on vacation" and won't be able to have a PHONE CALL until 6/12. HE IS BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS CLIENTS OR THEIR TIME. ***** As an executor and a trustee, Cliff is supposed to pay specific bills on a regular basis for 2 beneficiaries. He has frequently "forgotten" to pay said bills, paying bills late (which incurs fees!), one specifically resulting in dropped medical insurance! Cliff's duties require him to prepare tax returns for 2 beneficiaries specified in said will and he has frequently submitted the tax returns AFTER the due date. WHO PAYS FOR THE LATE FEES WHEN IT IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY? Surely not the estate when it was Cliff's responsibility to submit payments in a timely manner! BUT WHO KNOWS SINCE HE HAS NEVER GIVEN US ANY ACCOUNTING DOCUMENTATION! Seems super shady & not above board at all. WE CANNOT (nor do we) TRUST HIM. By law, Cliff is "required" to give us yearly financial statements with all accounting records from the trusts he set up from an estate. However, Cliff has REFUSED to deliver any financial statements, much less any accounting within the trusts. ZERO. At the time of writing this, it is 2024. We have requested the information since 2019. To be very clear, it has been FIVE YEARS and Cliff has NEVER once given us any financial documentation - not in our hands, not sent to us via registered mail/USPS/FedEx/UPS etc., NOT EVEN AN EMAIL with a PDF attachment. Cliff BLATANTLY IGNORES HIS FIDUCIARY DUTIES ON A REGULAR BASIS & should NOT be trusted with other people's money. PERIOD. If I could give zero stars, I would.

What a HORRIBLE experience! CPA, Cliff Bray is rude, unprofessional, and unethical. He LIED to me…read morerepeatedly about his interactions with the IRS on my behalf. The communication with Cliff Bray - one of the partners at this firm - is NON-EXISTENT. He NEVER responds to emails and ignores phone calls, even after leaving several messages and speaking with the receptionist at length. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! I don't know how Cliff sleeps at night with how he treats clients who are attempting to resolve issues that are his responsibility. He is completely UNWILLING to resolve an issue that HE created and TOLD ME he took care of YEARS ago! His moral and professional standards are BELOW 1 STAR. I would give him MINUS 10 if I could! Save yourself the hassle and headache and choose another firm.
