My lower back has been a weak spot of mine, and her customized treatments really helped for weeks. I continued to see her for back issues, but have also gone for wellness tune-ups and allergy related issues, and she's just as skilled at treating those concerns as well. My back is so much better thanks to core strengthening exercises, so I took a long break from visiting the office, but recently returned when my neck was kinked up. Dr. Lum remembered almost everything about me and my body! Such an amazing presence and bedside manner she has as well. Had a back injury in the early 90's, designated permanent and stationary, and have been anything but, refusing to become stagnant by staying active, but every now and then the back locks up and can slow me down for days. As I filtered through, Tamalpais Community Acupuncture stood out to me. Booking online was simple and easy, and the following Monday had first appointment. Easy to find in Mill Valley, office has a holistic vibe and energy is good. I booked w Chalita, who is so kind and made the entire brief introduction process simple. Treatment and cupping were super effective and after two visits I was back at it getting after life!!! For many, myself included, the thought of being poked with a bunch of needles is not a pleasant one, and that is what it is. What I will also say, is while in simple terms I understand the healing benefits of acupuncture, Chalita is really great at explaining and providing insight in a way that further supported why I was there, and why I will keep going for regular health benefits. Worth mentioning is there are two treatment options, private, and a small community type area with two or three chairs. He asked if I was okay and if I needed less pressure, but I told him to keep doing his thing. I walked in with a body that felt 10 years older than it is and left with a body that felt like it was 20 years younger. He released so much tension I actually hugged him.
