His care has supported me through some of the most important moments of my life. After experiencing two miscarriages, Ryan was a huge part of my healing process, and with his support I was able to get and stay pregnant and now I have a 2 year old boy. I'm forever grateful for that. Beyond fertility, he has helped me with so many other health concerns over the years. He is incredibly gentle, knowledgeable, understanding, and thoughtful--truly everything you could hope for in an acupuncturist. Every session feels intentional and grounded, and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Another thing I deeply appreciate is that his rates are very reasonable, which makes it possible to go regularly without stress. High-quality care that's actually accessible is rare. It's rare these days to find a health practitioner who truly cares and takes the time and she really does. I feel at ease knowing that she is close by and HIGHLY recommend her. My lower back has been a weak spot of mine, and her customized treatments really helped for weeks. I continued to see her for back issues, but have also gone for wellness tune-ups and allergy related issues, and she's just as skilled at treating those concerns as well. My back is so much better thanks to core strengthening exercises, so I took a long break from visiting the office, but recently returned when my neck was kinked up. Dr. Lum remembered almost everything about me and my body! Such an amazing presence and bedside manner she has as well. At one of my last visits I was dealing with some anxiety, and she placed the needles to calm my central nervous system, and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I was in such a peaceful state that I could hardly drive or talk afterwards. I love that her treatments are so tailored to the concern at hand, and she really takes her time to understand what's happening with your body. I wish that all trips to the doctor were like this.

I've been using acupuncture for more than 40 years and have been treated by many practitioners over the decades. After a total knee replacement in May 2025, I continued to experience daily pain, especially at night. For 15 months, I accepted that pain as my new normal. Then I had a treatment with Dr. Mackenzie. For the first time in 15 months, I was completely pain-free. It felt nothing short of miraculous. More than a week later, the pain is still gone. Waking up without pain and sleeping through the night has been life-changing, and every day I find myself grateful for the relief. I also saw Dr. Mackenzie for a migraine. In my past experience, acupuncture would ease the pain during the treatment and perhaps for a couple of hours afterward, but the migraine would always return. This time it didn't. The migraine was gone and stayed gone. Dr. Mackenzie combines deep knowledge, skill, and genuine compassion. Her treatments have produced results that exceeded anything I thought possible. If you're considering acupuncture for pain relief or migraines, I wholeheartedly recommend her. Finding Dr. Mackenzie has made a tremendous difference in my quality of life.
