Given the size of the project and the fact that we are working with a mortgage company on a rehab loan, we requested a detailed written bid outlining the scope of work and costs. Initially, we were told this would be provided within a few days. However, we were later informed that we would need to pay an additional $500 just for them to return to the property and prepare a detailed estimate. This would bring our total to over $1,000 without any actual repair work being completed. When we questioned this and asked if they were interested in taking on the job, we did not receive a clear answer. For a project of this size, transparency and communication are critical. Charging such a high additional fee simply to provide a detailed bid--especially after already paying for an inspection--feels unreasonable and discouraging. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to look elsewhere for a company that is more straightforward.

I had to wait until 8am to call anyone and the first 2 I tried couldn't make it until tomorrow (I should also add that a plumber I had previously used recommended Gulf Coast to me so that is why I took the risk). They were here within 30 minutes and an hour and half later they had the problem fixed. They had to find the drains outside because I had no idea where they were, dug it up, cleaned it out, ran a camera on it and even installed something so the next plumber wouldn't have to spend the time to find it again.
