My 2003 Fifth wheel trailer lost the use of it's landing gear on one side. Golden state came out quickly to the storage lot and found that it needed to be replaced. I decided to replace both sides and they began the search for a replacement landing gear. After a few weeks the parts arrived and were expertly installed. The jacks work great with no issues. Eric and his staff at Golden State RV Mobile repair saved our camping trip. We parked at a remote location in Bodega Bay and proceeded to set up. Our jacks went down somewhat and then an error code came up. After that we had nothing. Couldn't get the jacks up to leave, couldn't get the slide out to limp through the vacation. Calls to a local guy went unanswered and AAA sent us a guy who thought a hand held battery would save the day. I called Golden State RV and Eric answered. Immediately I knew I was talking with someone who knew what he was doing. Great, articulate questions, he was easy on me as I am not mechanical and he squeezed us in towards end of day. He was so knowledgeable, went immediately to work and got us totally fixed up. I am keeping his number just in case I am ever in that area again. I had a water heater that was leaking and unfortunately I broke off a plastic check valve in the threads and couldn't get it out. Golden State came out within 4 days. They come in pairs so you kinda get two mechanics. They were able to get in there and break up the plastic without destroying the threads which would have cost me a new water heater. He had the whole thing fixed and up and running in less than an hour. Super cool guys who seamed to care about my issue and provided great service. Also gave me some tips on other issues with my RV. Super knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again. read more

I had these guys come out to get my camper heater working and they came out with in a week, NP. Pretty quick..... I should have know. When they got here the diagnosed what they said was the problem, charged me $200.00 and left . They suggested I replace a limiter switch, so I went online and bought 2 to make sure I didn't get a dud. Neither fixed the problem. Look, Im an engineer by trade and know how to install a simple 2 pin non-polarized component. I texted them back after MY install and they replied that's the only thing they could think of, & I should call the manufacturer as that's all they would have done WTH????!!! So in summary I paid $200 for a mis-diagnosis of the problem and the heater still doesn't work properly What a scam! read more

We are RV newbies. We had Eric come and service our trailer before our biggest road trip to date. He came when he said he would and did what was asked of him. Once we landed at our destination we had a few (owner error) problems. It was late Saturday night before we realized we had issues. Eric worked with us until our issues were resolved. We actually went to sleep and he was still working on our issues. This was without a doubt service above and beyond what is normally expected of a vendor. We really appreciated his assistance and would highly recommend him if you have issues. It is good to have a someone who is willing to assist in a situation like this. We were on our first day of camping when the front door deadbolt jammed and we couldn't get back in. We were recommended three different RV repairs, and I'm so glad this is the first call I made. Eric was kind, helpful, and very clear on the call about what might need to happen and how to work with our extended warranty insurance. He was able to make it to our campsite within an hour of the call, tried everything he could to save the lock, but then finally had to drill it out and replace it. He was friendly, fast, and compassionate, which was especially appreciated considering my situation and my stress level. I didn't know what we were going to do if we couldn't get someone to come out and help us with dinnertime looming and all of our stuff locked inside. I highly recommend and will use them (well hopefully never!) should the bad luck arise and we need help with our RV. read more

Can't give this company enough praise! I was an evacuee from the Kincaid fire. Had to stay at the local KOA and prior to this last minute and unexpected trip the converter had been damage, (separate story involving unfortunate electrical event with a electrician). SO, I had no electric to my RV unless I used my generator. Given my house was in serious jeopardy and wasn't sure when I could go home I needed to fix this issue fast. All I can say is Golden State RV came to my rescue. Can't thank them enough. It was done perfectly ! Had power and heat! My kids were super happy and it ended up we had to stay 7 days at the KOA before we could return to our house (Thank goodness we had a home). Very disappointed. Had a problem with my furnace and called Golden State RV. They arrived and found out that the limit switch is not working but they did not have the right one with them. It needs to be ordered and they will keep me updated in a couple of days when they get the switch. They charged me $250 for a 15 minute diagnostic service call. After I did not heart back from them I ordered that limit switch $6 online and put it in by myself which was easy. Guess what ... furnace is still not working and has the same problem like before. Contacted Golden State RV again and told them that their diagnostic was wrong and what can be done to fix the problem. Did not hear back from the. Although the $250 are pretty very high I wouldn't mind to pay if the diagnostic was right and the problem would have been solved. So now I paid $250 for nothing and stucked with the same problem again. Very unprofessional from this company too, would not recommend! read more
