Since being purchased by GLS this company has failed me miserably. Packages lost, damaged, and delayed. Item missing from box - have to make a claim. Drivers are subcontractors with little incentive. Vehicles look sketchy, just not a professional company, and they won't be entrusted with my companies business any longer. I would not want them delivering to anyone, especially valuable clients and family. read more

2nd time in 2 months package got "lost". Ridiculous that the Sparks location NEVER answers their phone. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I have used them for years but Never again. read more

Update: I'm giving them 3 stars again despite being told they would redeliver on Monday. After contacting the company they had it delivered today which I appreciate. It is still lame they were unable to make a delivery attempt yesterday but I appreciate them going above and beyond on a Saturday to fix the issue. Very unhappy with this shipping company this time around. Was told the package we ordered would be delivered on Friday the 18th of Feb so we rearranged our day and took time off work to be home as it needed someone present to sign for it. Well they NEVER even attempted delivery of the package, did not even reschedule the package on the tracking number invoice. This company has not done a good job this time around for me as now I have to rearrange another day around just to make sure someone is home to receive the package. I'm sure they are short handed like everywhere else, but then if you aren't going to be able to deliver then maybe recommend pickup of packages for your customers instead. At least the 800 number for the customer service was helpful and so was the lady that answered the phone who was able to verify that it was supposed to be delivered on the 18th and she seemed shocked there was no delivery attempt even made. read more

"The driver decided to not deliver and reschedule" on an overnight delivery. Hahaha. As a bonus, our package was "on the truck for delivery" but actually never left the warehouse. Can't wait for the next excuse. read more

Three " DEL RESCHED - NO DEL ATTEMPT" and "ON ROUTE FOR DELIVERY" notices on a supposed two day delivery that is now easily a full week late. Based on reviews this seems to be a common occurrence with GSO/GLS. Will speak with business that shipped via GSO/GLS to provide feedback and encourage them to not use this company to transport and deliver orders. read more

Rescheduled my delivery with no reasoning, I called to pick it up instead and I'm told they're closed at 1pm. Never using them for anything again, would not recommend them to my worse enemy. read more

We've used GSO for a little while now. They do really good for a while then they drop the ball. We had packages not delivered because they couldn't find an address, they lost packages in their vehicles and literally the best one of them all they couldn't make it down south due to weather it was clear blue skies and we had staff going the same route and there was no wind. I literally laughed at the customer service representative who told me that. The latest one is they "delivered" our package on the other side of the gate that is open to the public from a major freeway! Thankfully we have customers who are nice and brought the package in for us otherwise who knows where it would have ended up. They get 2 stars only because they sometimes do the job correctly both for our shipping and receiving. Otherwise they'd get 1 star. read more

My package has been delayed 3 different times due to weather. This whole time, it's snowed only once and it was 4 inches. I just tried to call them, but I was hung up on before I could even say anything. read more

I'm a CPA who prepares financial statements and tax returns for clients throughout Nevada and California. I was looking for a shipping option other than FedEx, UPS or even the USPS for next day service. I somehow stumbled upon GSO on an internet search and I could not be happier. Its under $8 to send a legal size envelope NEXT DAY to every location I have shipped to so far (Vegas and Southern California). They even offer a $3 pick up fee if you decide you don't want to drive to their drop off location in Sparks. You have to schedule it the day before, but with the cost of fuel now, I'll pay the extra $3. Even if a client doesn't require next day service, I will be shipping with Golden State Overnight from now on! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any shipper, ever. I handed a package with two expensive bottles of Japanese whisky to the driver. I watched as he got back into his vehicle without scanning the package. The package never showed up in the GSO system, and I followed their instructions (having them perform a trace and ultimately submitting a claim for a lost package). I declared a value of $250 when creating the shipping label and their IT support acknowledged this fact in an email to me. My claim has been denied and they say it's because the package was never entered into their tracking system. I've explained that I handed the package to the driver and watched him drive away without scanning it. I've asked them how I can be held accountable for the actions of their driver, but they are no longer answering emails or returning phone calls or emails. read more

I would give this company out of Reno 0 stars if I could. My package was supposed to be here yesterday but was delayed cause of too much sun(weather) it was beautiful out. Called today and they assured me it would be here by 6 p.m. it's not here. Now I'm leaving on vacation and really needed what I ordered. Horribly ran company. Find other options. Don't use them. read more

Well, I would have given 5 stars except that the last 3 times we have ordered Uline, the guy doesn't come until 6pm or 8pm!!! That is UNCALLED for. We need to get our orders to the post office before 5pm. Because of this "new driver" we have now, we are probably going to stop using Uline. So we don't have to deal with this. We used to get our orders from Uline around 1pm or 2pm which is fair not 6 to 8pm at night! Get your Sh8t together! read more

I have a package coming that requires a signature. I was at work yesterday when it was suppose to arrive, but my husband was off. He waited around all day to sign for it and it never arrived. My tracking number still said it was out for delivery. I called today and they said the driver had too many deliveries yesterday and couldn't make it so it will be delivered today. It would have been nice if they would have updated my tracking number so my husband wouldn't have wasted his day waiting and now I have to waste my day today waiting between their 8 and 4 window. read more

Do not understand what is going on with GSO Reno. Used them in CA all the time and they were great. Here in Reno they can't seem to ever deliver before noon, they don't make the stated delivery windows, and now this time I was home during the entire window and yet found a ticket on the door with no knock or ring. How the hell are people supposed to know they're there?! read more

Worst delivery service ever for wine orders. They give you a time frame (8 to 12 or 12 to 4) and then they even call to tell you it will be delivered by 4. At 7 PM it was still not there. So when I asked what time for the following day they could not guarantee any. So they wanted me to just sit home and wait for the delivery. I would never buy from a company again who uses this Delivery service. And I still was stuck paying the shipping charges because the company, Wine of the Month, said that was just the way it was. GSO is more like an Uber so you never really know who is going to show up. read more
