Napoli Pizza offers a great selection of toppings and some good BOGOF collections deals. I enjoyed a Mozzarella, Aubergine, Pepper and tomato pizza. The deep pan base was lovely and the mozzarella was lighter and creamier than your standard fare. Overall a good, superior pizza from the norm.

This was at 02:30 After being on the phone with the delivery guy for 15 minutes, trying to tell him how to get to the building (which is very simple to access, lit up and on the main road), I had to go out of my building and meet him outside as he could still not find the entrance. Turns out he was looking for the wrong address although the address was printed correctly on his note and on my order. But wait, there is more: he only gives me 2 pizzas and 2 dips and tells me he is in a hurry but that I should ask Pizza Napoli to take the money for the salad and other dip out of my next order... I asked him "what if I don't want to make a next order?" and he just says "Sorry mate..." and leaves. When I looked at the time it was 04:15, so almost 2 hours later... The pizzas were cold and the conclusion is one: Never again shall I order anything from Pizza Napoli...

The menu is brief and to the point, with a few dozen main dishes and a handful of starters and sides, so you know that time and care is taken over the preparation of each one. There's a few curry house favourites here for the unadventurous (Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma) but come here for the unusual Nepalese dishes like the fiery Chicken Everest or Kathmandu Lamb. The head chef is Hitkaji Gurung, formerly of the Bombay Bicycle Club, and he takes his food very seriously indeed. All the spices are ground on the premises and the kitchen is open to the counter so you can see what's going on. And they don't use any artificial colours or preservatives - no MSG or luridly-coloured sauces here! It's not the cheapest takeout in the world (main dishes start at about £7) but you pay for quality. There's 10% off for collection and every order comes with a free poppadom and tub of mango chutney.

We had a meat bhuna and meat makhani with chicken briyani and some parathas. The taste of the curries lived up to the smells - lots of fresh spices, herbs and proper masalas had obviously gone into the making of these curries. What made it even more amazing was the price. Each meat curry was only £3.50 for a very big box of meat-heavy curry. I love it when a place lives up to all that mental promise that you put onto it!

The delivery only ever takes 30-40 minutes, and the food is very carefully packaged in clearly marked containers. It's quite a quiet part of Catford, and I can't recall the last time there was any trouble. Perfectly safe enough to visit and eat in with the kids, but the easiest option would be to use the drive thru as you get your food in minutes, the service really is that efficient. And as McD's has started accepting card payments now it's pretty easy to eat unhealthily, unfortunately!
