My wife and I arrived early on a Tuesday evening and reservations were not necessary. Upon entering, we were promptly seated. Shortly thereafter, a basket of corn tortilla chips arrived with a mild dipping sauce. I cannot attest to the dip, however, the chips were warm, lightly salted, and crispy. For an appetizer we ordered fried calamari. As an entree, I chose the Don Quijote Mixed Grill. This consists in marinated grilled skirt steak, pork loin, chicken breast, Latin sausage, tostones, white rice, and pinto beans. I substituted additional white rice for the pinto beans. The calamari arrived hot and they were delicious. Definitely to be shared by two. My entree arrived sizzling on a flat iron grill. Everything was delicious. I enjoy a hearty meal, but I could not finish the abundance of excellent food on my plate. Of course I grew a desert appetite so I ordered the fudge chocolate cake and a decaffeinated cappuccino. Both the cake and the cappuccino were excellent. My only negative comment was that I received a fatty cut of pork. Notwithstanding this, I would still give the restaurant six stars if I could. This is how good the food was. Takeaways 1. Reservations not needed mid-week. 2. Abundant parking. 3. Excellent service. 4. Fantastic food. 5. Great service. 6. Superb portion to price. Note: it would be possible to order the dish I had and easily split it between two people.

Nice ambiance. Went there for lunch recently after not having been there again since the first…read moretime, maybe five years ago or more. "How come we haven't been back here?" I asked my spouse. Ordered chile rellenos, the three taco meal, and had a pork belly appetizer that we shared between us. Took most of it home, and I have to say, I love Mexican/Latin food, but this was the blandest selection of food I have had since trying a can of Amy's vegetarian Tom Kha soup. Amy sucks every last bit of flavor, joy and life from Thai cuisine, and while the food at Don Quixote wasn't depressing, it lacked what I expect from Latin food: A little spice, some savor, cultural pride maybe. I guess that's why we hadn't been back. But, if you look at reviews, most others seem to like it pretty well, so you'll have to decide for yourself. I may have been there too early, just as the kitchen was warming up, or maybe just an "off" day. Your experience may vary.

A perfect mix of flavor, spices, & vegetables that will make your taste buds take a sabbatical from enjoying other dishes from anywhere else. They're truly THAT GOOD. I can't make this shit up. I get this place 2X weekly for a reason. Being a veteran of US ARMY I've served in a Mexico/America border town of El Paso.. it's almost as if I'm in El Paso getting these AUTHENTIC Mexican tacos. The empanadas are also INCREDIBLE. Crispy, perfect beef/cheese ratio and filling. This truck DOES NOT DISSAPOINT EVER. Never has, and as far as I'm tracking.. never will. This is an absolute staple & Mastic Shirley should support them w/ open arms so they can open a brick & mortar in our town as we don't have anything compariable to this MASTERY of Mexican street cuisine.

Pretty nice find. I was in the mood for Mexican food and in the area so decided to stop by and see…read morewhat the hype is about. Service wise, I waited approximately 10 minutes maybe? Not bad. Ambiance wise- this place is located write in front of a beer store (in their parking lot). Parking is pretty sparse so just something to keep in mind. I will say everything came out fresh. I ordered: -Chicken Taco on a corn tortilla: The chicken taco was actually very nice to eat- flavors were there and it was diced up into perfect portions. -Birria Tacos: Pretty juicy Birria- not the best ones I've had but certainly good ones. I will say the limes were dried out so they barely had any juice. -Churro: Pretty good churro- it has a filling inside of dulce de leche if I'm not mistaken. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick and decent fix for Mexican foods as well as a reason to support a local business!
