Expect to receive less in person than the website says you will. They listed buying at 199 a gram,…read morehowever I only received 483 per 2.5g assayed Valcambi Suisse bars. I feel like this was a rather shady business practice, when I asked why the price was lower they said they were splitting the price they pay for the 5g bar, because for some reason they don't have 2.5 grams bars listed. The 5 gram was 957, divided by 2 for 483, however the 1g at 197 multiplied by 2.5 is 492. If this business was honest, the price I would have received would have been somewhere in the middle. However this company seems to be doing the most to pay you the least. Be careful when dealing with this company.

Had to cajole him into actually testing the gems, and wouldn't even look at some of the pieces closely. Was driving a hard bargain and tried to buy an antique coin off me for its weight in gold because it was "basically worthless". Showed him a piece I was wearing that I had recently appraised at $1000 just to see what he would say, for comparison, and he snorted. Brought them to a different appraiser who treated me respectfully and got each of them valued at a couple thousand a piece. This guy's a shyster. Stay away.

The owner and the jeweller who assisted are both extremely straightforward, easy to talk to,…read moreprofessional, friendly, PATIENT and honest. I was welcomed respectfully and treated with respect for the hour or longer I took up their time. They cleaned a couple pieces of my jewelry, including the ring I was wearing and put NO PRESSURE WHATSOEVER on me to sell any or all of the jewelry I brought in for cash. Years ago I went to one of their competitors who was brash, blatantly rude and disrespectful, who started popping the stones out of my jewelry before I agreed to sell it. I could go on....DISHONEST. Over the Holidays, my family decided to do a deep clean of our house and we found a lot of random chains, rings and bracelets we were unsure of. We brought them in to Oliver Jewellery after seeing all their commercials to have them check if it was of any value. I was honestly very happy with the service provided here. The staff was all very pleasant and kind and was able to walk me through the whole process and explain how my items were valued. I was seriously very happy with how much my items were appraised for, I ended up selling everything! Overall, it was a very easy and seamless transaction and I felt very safe. The value of my jewellery was worth a lot more than I expected so I will for sure be returning with more items soon!

When they ask why you're selling or why you need the money, keep your answer completely vague, just say "I don't wear/like it anymore" or "I'm clearing out my closet." Neither dark alley, nor seedy nameless locked door in sight (I have been to some of those - be forewarned and walk away). Daniel took lots of time to walk me through his assessment of all my items, and I received sound advice that helped me make decisions I felt good about. Gentleman inside was friendly and not pushy at all. I've started buying mostly online and occasionally come in to pick it up. Real pleasure to leave a glowing review. Too bad they don't open up a bar here - would be a great place to go for a few drinks. On a serious note, what I liked most were (a) service, (b) selection, and (c) the options they give. By options, I mean they will ship you your purchase, both buy and sell, and even convert some of my stuff into bars of gold. Could not be happier, and never once argued. Good job Muzeum! Ps. I think they are now by appointment only - guy told me they were clearing out some inventory and would be back to full service by April 2017.
