History
Established in 2011.
My name is Sumeera Mohamed and I own and manage Gold Thimble.
This is a project that I have been working on for years. Mainly because I have had always had a passion to sew since a young age. I developed my business with the aim to help those that also get lost in the world of hand crafts. Having lived in Glasgow for 23 years, I have spent years trying to look for a friendly store that I could buy my craft supplies from. And for years I didn't find one, until I opened Gold Thimble.
I endeavour to provide my customers and the public with the best quality and original products in the market. Hopefully the collections of fabrics, haberdashery and services will inspire people to start their own projects and make interesting pieces for themselves to their loved ones. I am always trying find innovative ideas for the public to take advantage of from sewing classes to charity craft fairs.
Meet the Business Owner: Sumeera M.
Having taught myself how to sew from watching my mother at a young age - I hope to help and inspire people to undertake their own creative projects. I would like to think that people can learn useful skills and knowledge with the aid of the products and services that I provide in my business. Having said this, it is my aim to make Gold Thimble a community store with a friendly and welcoming environment for all.
