A few days ago I googled "cash for gold" in the Boston area and found this service. After I called…read moreand made a quick appointment (really I just told them where and when I wanted to meet) a guy named Kevin came to my home and weighed my stuff and explained their "haggle free guarantee" cash offer to me. I had some stuff that I wanted to sell that I had picked up from the storage locker auctions. I had a few pieces of gold, a few silver coins and the lion's share of what I was selling was sterling silver jewelry. I liked the service for a couple reasons first they traveled to me and second in addition to buying gold they also bought the silver jewelry and the coins, so basically it was a one stop shop kinda deal, not all the places I called bought everything. I did try and compare prices with another mobile cash for gold place that said they would travel to my location however they said I would have sell at least 20 grams of gold for me to get that service. The people at cash fast had no such minimum when I spoke with them so that's why they got my business. It took very little time to do the whole thing. Basically this guy was like a pawn shop on wheels. Hope it helps. Happy New Year Lisa

He offers the most in the area and then insult you when you go in and try to sell him something he wants you to give it to him for free. I'm talking to give an example 23 ounces of silver. He wants to give you $200 with silver being at $67.00 a ounce spot right now that's what I'm talking about. Do not waste your time. He is rude and you're wasting your time. That's all I can say and as far as the store itself, there's just junk in there nothing worth buying anything that's in there should've been thrown out.

My family and I were going through some inherited gold jewelry that had been sitting around forever…read more-- old rings, bracelets, and a few pieces that were probably beautiful 40 years ago, but definitely not what any of us would wear now. We knew it had value, so it wasn't the kind of thing anyone wanted to just toss, but no one had ever had it evaluated either or really knew what to do with it. A friend recommended Metalman, a private gold buyer in Newton, so we made an appointment and went in together. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but the visit was surprisingly easy and comfortable. Everything was tested and explained right in front of us, and we could actually see how they came up with the offer. There was no pressure, no awkward back-and-forth, and no feeling that anyone was trying to pull anything over on us. The process was quick, clear, and respectful, and the owner was easy to talk to and had a good sense of humor, which made the whole experience feel even more comfortable. If you need to sell jewelry in the Boston area and want a place that feels more private and secure than the kind of places people usually think of for selling gold, this is a great option. Definitely a much better experience than I expected.

I kept telling myself I would eventually do something with them, but they just sat there. I didn't really like the idea of going to a pawn shop, and I honestly didn't know where else to go, so I'm really glad I found Metalman. They have a private office in Newton and work by appointment, which I liked right away. It felt quiet, comfortable, and very different from what I had pictured when I thought about selling gold. I brought in a mix of scrap gold and old jewelry, and they went through everything with me and explained what I had. One thing I especially liked was that they have an XRF machine that can analyze the metal and show exactly what is in your jewelry. It was really interesting to see the results right there instead of just having to take someone's word for it. The biggest surprise was how much all those little pieces added up to. I walked in with jewelry that had been sitting in a box for years and walked out with enough money to put toward a vacation. Definitely a much better use for it! Very easy experience, no pressure, and I would absolutely recommend Metalman to anyone who has old or broken gold jewelry sitting around at home.

Some of the most helpful and honest people in the coin and bullion space. Watched them sit down with several customers who wanted to invest heavily into precious metals and they received a consultation that was so thorough and helpful and allowed them to make good wise decisions on their investment. They have people there that cover the entire gambit of coins, bullion, and all things collectible. We currently live in a time where you do not get that kind of customer service and everybody is in it for the dollar but with these guys I was genuinely shocked to see how much time and effort they spent to give any and all information to the buyers so they could make the best decision for them financially and situationally. Some of the most top-notch product people in service I have witnessed in a very long time. Period to anybody local or from far away I couldn't recommend these guys more highly.

I have been in a tight spot many times. Ideal jewelry and loan are a family business and have…read morefairly given me the % of weight per valued item in a loan. Of coarse your recurve more for a sale. But they have been kind and I always come back to retrieve my jewelry within the time period given. Anyone who is displeased doesn't understand inflation rates gold/silver value or lab vs natural created stone value. I've been hit hard with a personal injury that's kept me out of work almost a year and because I worked a 2nd job in jewelry I understand all Of this. People don't realize that when you go to a pawn shop you are only guaranteed its value in gold and possibly precious stones. Some shops look more favorable on name brand items. But it comes down to the weight and value of the item you bring in based on current economic status! Which in my opinion has been crap since we lost our previous president. You will never get the value for an item you purchased in jewelry because the mark up in retail is 300% or more! So subtract what you paid and then weigh it minus the stones and that's your value. Sadly that's how everyone makes money. It's just how it is. You're paying for a designer to make the setting and mold to liquidate the metal and pour it into a uniquely made mold then have a gemologist set the stones perfectly that's at the store you bought it in. So then when times are tough and you take your 5k$ plus ring to a pawn shop your jaw drops at the price they can give you on a loan. I've worked in retail sales of jewelry a very long time and believe me I know it's upsetting. But the fact of the matter is that anything gold or silver holds it's true value regardless or retail value and that is what you should hold onto. Needing money get a loan. If you want to sell it. When you can I'd say do it personally. But gold and diamonds esp natural ones always hold their value. Now there are lab created stones which come out perfect. Too perfect. The beauty of natural stones is their character. Carbon feathers and a way to map your unique diamond. I've I'm healed I'll be back in the beauty and jewelry business. But I highly recommend this business. They are kind personable and understanding. They don't wish ill on anyone. They are in the business of helping. So be kind and try to understand and educate yourself on economics gold value and inflation rates. It affects everything people! I hope this helped! In fact I'm going to pick up some of my things today! :) ask for Bailey or his dad! Great people!
