If you're looking for a place that feels less like a restaurant and more like you just walked into…read moresomebody's home after church on a Sunday... this is it. From the moment we stepped into 6 Klicks Cafe, the vibe was immediate--warm, welcoming, and real. Not forced, not corporate. Just genuine energy. The kind of place where you already know you're about to eat good before you even see the menu. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right. Crispy where it needed to be, flavorful across the board. Portion size? Let's be real, it felt like they made the plate for two people. ________________________________________ ‍ Service Service was top-tier. * Greeted immediately * Server knew the menu and helped us decide * Drinks came fast (shoutout to that blackberry tea ) * Food came out in under 10 minutes No waiting, no confusion, no "let me check on that" energy. Just smooth. ________________________________________ Atmosphere This place has identity. It's not trying to be trendy--it's authentic. You can feel the story behind it. Veteran-owned, patriotic, and built with intention. It's the kind of spot where you could sit, eat, and talk for hours without feeling rushed. Family vibe all day. ________________________________________ Price vs Value Not the cheapest--but worth it. When the portions are big, the food is made right, and the experience is solid... the price makes sense. ________________________________________ Final Verdict 10/10 (with no real complaints) This isn't just somewhere you eat. This is somewhere you go when you want real food, real service, and a real atmosphere. I'll definitely be back I'd recommend it without hesitation Not a one-and-done spot--this is a regular rotation type place

Wife enjoyed her garden salad but for $10 seemed slightly pricey. Ranch dressing was good but store bought. One more thing - very few vegetarian choices! Service- 3/5: Everyone working that day in the front had food stains on their clothes. I get it's a restaurant but gave off unclean establishment vibes. Servers checked on us frequently so appreciate that. Ambience - 3/5: Clean and comfortable seating. Their prices are higher than what's posted on their online menu so just be aware of that. The server did tell me they were aware of it and changes were in the works. All in all, it's a one and done for us.

My friends wanted to share their favorite restaurant with me and I'm so glad they ordered because I can't figure out most of the menu. If you ask them, they will definitely make recommendations on their daily specials. Lunch buffet is easy- dinner is a little harder :-) Hole-in-the-walls are the best. And for good reason. They are usually started from scratch with sweat, blood and tears. You can taste the passion in their dishes. Waldo and his wife started off as a catering business and just expanded into a restaurant a year ago and are going strong. It's definitely a two person show so be patient and go when it's slow...you'll get to spend time with him and maybe he'll share his stories with you. It was all to-die-for and I'll be dreaming of this dinner for years to come. The pictures don't do justice. You need to try it for yourself. Tostones-fried plantains with homemade lemon juice/garlic dipping sauce Peruvian chicken tamale There was some special plate with pork and chicken and rice Coffee! the coffee for dessert was like espresso on crack. Super strong and sweet. yum. Oh cheese, reliving this is making me want to go for dinner.

I got a groupon for this place and tried going no less than six times, but they were never open and had the worst customer service possible- I'd call and they'd tell me they'd be open the next day, but I'd drive up DURING THEIR POSTED HOURS, and they were closed. When I called back, they always blamed their catering business and how they had events on weekends that would take precedence. Well, maybe your regulars don't mind driving up to a closed restaurant, but I sure do. Like I said, called and came by repeatedly in a three month span, and never once was I apologized to or helped in any way- there was always an excuse. From those who have actually had the food, it sounds delicious. I just wish this place were run like a business and not like someone's pet project.

Every single week we are blown away by the flavor, creativity, and care she puts into her cooking. Her meals are so good that we honestly no longer want to eat out. The food she prepares for us at home is consistently better than what we would order at restaurants, and that says everything. Each dish feels intentional, nourishing, and beautifully balanced, with just the right touches to make it feel special without ever being heavy. Every meal has been outstanding, and the consistency is what truly sets her apart. Chef Steph has completely changed the way we eat at home, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her. If you are considering working with her, do it. You will not be disappointed.

I never thought I'd be able to justify the luxury of a private chef service, but I keep this…read moreservice as a lifeline in my back pocket for weeks that we just need a little extra help, like when the demands of parenting and working during a global pandemic seem extra burdensome. So far, we've had three appointments, and they've all been wonderful. For each one in advance, you choose the time/date for your chef, three entree items and three sides. The "sides" is a bit of a misnomer, as you can often make meals of these in themselves. They include salads, hot breakfast casseroles, pies, and more. Recipes range from Mongolian Beef to Shepherd's Pie, homemade granola bars, Thai Chicken salad, etc. I imagine if we did this weekly, the options might get monotonous, but doing it every once in a while works out well for us so that there are usually a few new options that appear the next time we're ready to book an appointment. For each item you'll see an estimate on how much extra it will add to your bill in groceries in addition to the base chef cost. The chef will stop at your local HEB to shop for your ingredients fresh right before your appointment. You pay a $35 deposit, which you can get refunded if you cancel the appointment by the stated deadline (and they send you frequent reminders -- they're not trying to pull one over). On average with tip and the cost of groceries, we usually spend around $225 for our family of four. The meals last us a while. Sometimes we share them with friends who could use an extra meal, or sometimes we freeze the leftovers. There are instructions for reheating, freezing, etc. As stated in other reviews the chefs are generally efficient and very tidy, leaving your kitchen looking spotless, with a huge amount of prepared food for you to enjoy (it's hard not to dive right in). Communication by text is great. During COVID, the chef has worn a mask during the appointment and the service has had very clearly communication about canceling in the event of COVID exposure, etc. I appreciate that they're taking it seriously. If I had a couple of critiques, it would be that whatever process gets communicated to the chef regarding ingredients might need to be streamlined. The past two appointments, our chef has had to make a couple of grocery store trips because he forgot items, and this prolongs the preparation process. I would also love to see a bit more variety to the menu options. It would be nice to have it broken down roughly by type of dish (seafood, beef, casserole, etc.) and price (budget friendly or special splurge). Other than those minor tweaks, we love the service, and I imagine we'll keep using it as occasional customers.
