He was super responsive and patient from the day we met for the first time and then our second meeting with my fiancé (at the time). He was super responsive during the day leading up to the wedding, during the wedding day, and even after the wedding. I was really nervous booking someone from yelp without having any referrals, but his great customer service put me at ease. My guests including my family loved Phan and his brother during the wedding day because they were so easy to work with, professional, very accommodating and very entertaining. I cannot say enough about his customer service and professionalism! Short turn around time! The turn around time to get my photos was approximately a month. Awesome! Photographs - 5 out of 5 (I took into account the pricing): I wanted less posing and more candid shots during the wedding. He was very accommodating. The photographs turned out beautifully. The color correction was very beautiful. Given that the lighting in the church is awful for photography, he managed to color correct the photos perfectly. Some photographers charge customers per digital print or how many hours you get them. Not here, which gave it a lot of flexibility. This cause less headache for the bride. Seeking a wedding photographer/videographer who's passionate, amiable, professional, punctual, approachable, detailed, observant, outgoing, has excellent communication between team members, and not to mention-- a killer friendly smile?! Haha. Then, look no further! Phan Tran is the one!! I coincidentally met Phan in 2014 at a local wedding center where he handed me his business card. That day I went home and read his blog. What caught me was his artistic talent as a child in drawing and shading which he then applied to his photography with lighting and framing. Otherwise, Phan would have been hired for both. During our wedding(April 2016), Phan and his team members(Linh and Dustin) were exceptional! They were professional, arrived on time, well-prepared, followed the timeline as planned, accommodating as we split up the tea ceremony and reception dates, and assisted with keeping things moving in the right direction during our chaotic Chinese/Vietnamese wedding. Linh was attentive and full of energy. He tried to cheer up the children when they were crying as we tried to take family photos. Linh was also sweet and considerate when he checked if I was okay, knowing that the bride was in heels all day. Dustin was friendly and humorous, which helped calm my nerves. Phan was observant and detailed. He blended in well and caught sweet moments that I didn't even realize he had filmed. I believe a good team needs excellent communication between members and that's exactly what Phan and his team members possess. Phan and Linh are brothers and Dustin is Phan's childhood friend. They practically know what each other is thinking and are able to communicate effectively with each other. This helps with the flow and ease of capturing all the special moments on my wedding day. Phan and Lin were amazing!! We introduced to his work by a cousin. When I first saw his work I fell in loved with it. You could just tell how passionate they were. I also loved the how Phan really made the colors so vibrant. During the timing of planning and all Phan was easy to talk to and was punctual in response. We didn't get to really meet face to face till the day of our engagement session. It was also really great that they were able to come to San Francisco to do the pictures. Since I'm from there I pretty much gave him some of the ideal places that I wanted to do the pictures and we went from there. When that big day arrives (I guess this depends on your priorities. Most people, including myself considers the term Big day as their wedding), you want to make sure all the venders you choose are the best at what they do. We made the decision to go with these two brothers from advice of others that have told us they were very satisfied with their work. After our first initial consultation meeting with them, we found out how professional and easy going these two were. The choice was easy and we put our deposit down to secure our date with no regrets. I will warn you though, put your deposit down early because their schedule does fill up quick. This is what happens when you're good at what you do and everyone wants to use your services. On the day of the wedding, I found out we had Ninjas in attendance... Yes, Ninjas. These two wore all black and although you knew they were taking pictures, they were taking that perfect shot without being noticed. I wouldn't have been surprised if they were using grappling hooks hanging off the ceilings. Thats how good they were. If you want a mediocre photographer who does wedding photography on the side, It shouldn't be that hard to find. I can even send you over to my 15 year old sister who can probally take better pictures.
