My wedding was back in October 2021. Almost 3 years has passed and I didn't want to say anything but it's been in the back of my mind since. We paid a good amount for both photography and videography. 10k to be exact. The pictures were okay. There were some good ones. The video part is where it got me. You'd expect I'd get our first dance included right? Nope! It sure was not. My fault for not reading the contract and not seeing our first dance would not be part of the wedding video. I just assumed it would since it's a big part of our wedding. If we want our first dance video we'd have to pay them more money... this saddens me. There are not enough amazing things to say about XSIGHT photography/videography/staff. The first time our family met Scott/Nicole and staff was in 2009 and we have used and recommended their services ever since. Fast forward to 2020, it was my turn to get married and without even seeing all the pictures yet; I am a happy bride! Planning a wedding is already a stressful situation, but to plan one during a pandemic is another story and stress in itself. My husband and I booked XSIGHT roughly a year prior to our October 2020 wedding and before the March 2020 pandemic. However, with all the uncertainties going on, we were unsure if our dream wedding could even happen. Fortunately, XSIGHT was easy to communicate with via emails and telephone and were always flexible and optimistic with working around our almost postponed wedding date (shout out to Stephanie and Molly)! I am a firm believer in spending money for quality work and professionalism and XSIGHT has always provided great work for our family/friends. On the day of our wedding, we had two photographers and videographers who wore their masks correctly, were timely, friendly, outgoing, upbeat and just the type of staff we were looking forward to working with. They constantly checked-in with us, made sure we were on schedule, made us laugh and posed us (both my husband and I had no modeling experiences whatsoever). XSIGHT went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. They listened to our vision and helped us execute our perfect wedding day/night in so many ways! Let me start off my saying my photographer for my wedding was amazing . So sweet . Professional and kind . Photos were beautiful...This review is about business . Our wedding was initially scheduled for March 2022. We were so excited to get married and get our vendors picked out we went with Xsight for photos . I decided to pay the entire cost up front (not cheap) so I wouldn't have to worry about it later on. I could have just paid the deposit and went from there . . . WELL we ended up having a DEATH in the family prior to our wedding (about a month and a half /two months before) and decided to cancel our wedding. I reached out to Xsight and advised I understood I probably would loose my deposit but would like the rest of my $ back as we had to cancel our wedding and was told NO , That once paid in full it's non refundable. I was prepared to loose my deposit due to this sad situation but not all my money ! They didn't even do any of the work yet AT ALL ... this didn't sit right with me and to be honest I wouldn't use them again or recommend them again as a company due to this policy. It is in the contract but nonetheless it's not ethical . We did end up postponing our wedding to August 2022 once things settled and rescheduling with them because they had hold of my entire photography budget and I did get lovely photos however this business practice was not correct and I would not recommend them due to this . I have been meaning to write this review since November and finally got around to it. I hired Nicole Sepulveda to photograph my wedding. I drove to Sacramento to meet her and see her sample albums. After seeing the phenomenal work she and Gail had done in print I hired her on the spot. Five months later Nicole drove to San Francisco to meet my husband and we spent 3 hours taking engagement photos around the city. The results came out fantastic. She made us average people look like movie stars. Our families and friends were surprised at how good the pictures turned out. On the day of the wedding she brought an assistant. She arrived an hour early and took "getting ready photos." I am anticipating the wedding photos however she showed me a few on her camera. They look like a magazine shoot. Nicole is easy to talk to and knows how to make a great photo. My wedding album speaks for itself as far as quality. I posted some of the photos from the album by Nichole here. My family and friends are very impressed by the album and can see and feel how my money was well spent. For any bride getting married please remember that the photos last forever so spend the money on a great photographer. If I can I would vote for her to be photographer of the year. Revised review. Office location: No road side parking, but you can park at a parking lot across the street. Photographer skills: Our photographer was Carlos, and he's a really friendly guy who helped us pose, caught the right lighting and makes us feel really comfortable. He's also very helpful in answering our questions, and offers to speak to his superior when he can't answer them. They know their art, after all, they don't get the KCRA 2013 award for nothing. They also have a plaque of K9 photos, where they donate their hours and time in 2011. Customer Service: Initially we had some issues with one of the staff in office, and after the photo viewing session we left the place quietly, unhappy. I end up giving them a 2 star review instead of the 5 stars I wanted to. After my review, Gail, the owner, took the initiative to call me personally to make amends. We believe her actions supersedes her staff's action, and we are gratified in her effort in making things right to us, and willing to put in her personal time to make it right to us. We believe a business entity like XSIGHT who actually make an effort to right a wrong, or to make sure their customers don't leave with an eternal negative memory is a trustworthy company. I got the groupon deal for $20 bucks -- came with one 8x10 print and a CD of (low resolution) images. I've never done an outdoor photo session before so I thought oh an hour shouldn't be that bad. BOY WAS I WRONG! Our photographer was Justin and he was really quick with the camera shots. Smile smile smile smile smile! My face was so tired from smiling that I was certain the pictures were going to come out horrible from all the "fake" smiles. LOL Justin was really funny. He made us laugh a lot and so we got a lot of good candid photos. The prints were really expensive though! I can't remember how much it was but I remember it was super pricey! As for the photo CD itself, I believe it was $500 for the CD with high resolution, touched up photos with no prints. We just did the Groupon for fun -- no special occasion so I didn't invest in the print packages. I do feel bad because the pictures did come out really really good without even being edited. Anyways, now that I know how great of a job they do, I'd definitely recommend them to anyone for capturing their special event! read more

The first time our family had photos taken by was 6 weeks after the birth of our first child....not a time when I felt I was looking my best. I can honestly say those are some of the best photos that I have ever had taken. I bought a GroupOn for this company. I wanted new family photos and didn't really know anyone in the Sacramento area who could refer us, so I just went with what was offered at a good deal. Always a bit skeptical but hope for the best. We had a great time. Our photographer was friendly and real. She was able to get my husband to open up and smile ...which is difficult when taking pictures... When I received the proofs, they were better than I expected and for the deal I was received, I was very happy. Customer Service was spotty but I was explained it was because they were on location shooting and such so they were not always available to answer emails. (I received a better response with email). Hey, I spent only $20, I didn't expect them to lay out the red carpet for me each and every time I contacted them. She was shooting photos for a book that she was doing and she shot my ex-wife and I. Every photo in that book is incredable! Look for Rebels With A Cause by Gail DeMarco. Long story....short, Gail has joined with Nicole and they have a studio in downtown Sacramento and in the heart of Folsom. I have a natural interest in photography and my current wife found a Groupon deal for XSight's School and signed me up. Mostly women in the class but I'm not intimidated easily.....I throughly enjoyed the class. They take you through the mechanics of your camera including Aperature, Shutter Speed, F-stop, etc. so that you have the basic understanding of each function and you can now take your camera off "Auto" and shoot in manual mode. They also cover composition, posing familys, couples, babys, etc. for the portarait type shooting as well as scenery, lighting, angles, horizons, etc. Let me just add that I'm technology challenged but after their training and explanations and individual "hands on" help.....I'm ready to go and feel comfortable with it in manual mode to put it all to practice. This would have been money well spent had my wife paid full price for it and I have Gail and Nicole and the rest of the photographers and staff at XSight Photography to thank for it. read more

My husband and I couldn't afford the bigger packages but we knew we needed quality documentation of our wedding I worked so hard on so we chose Xsight and got one of the smaller and more affordable packages they offered. We are very pleased with the level of service and professionalism they have and the quality product we received. There was some miscommunication over the songs chosen in our wedding video and when I let them know we wanted a different song played in the scene where my husband and I are dancing they were very accommodating. Xsight is the best there is. I hired xsight to do both the photography and videography for my wedding and I am so happy with how everything turned out! As far as the photography, Nicole Sepulveda is the absolute best. She is an artist with the camera. She knows how to make you look your best in all the pictures, and if ever there is a photo that isn't perfect, she will make it perfect by using her editing magic. On top of all that, she has a great personality and knows how to make you laugh in order to get that perfect smile. We were so fortunate she was able to photograph our wedding. People continue to tell me know beautiful my pictures are. We also went with xsight for their videography. They came and were very professional. They set up their camera's where they knew they could get the best shot and made our perfect video. I had many conversations with Scott Rodier who made sure I was getting everything I wanted. He was so nice and easy to work with. Even on the wedding day I called him and asked if they could come earlier for "the first look" and he made it happen. When I got my video from them, the edited version, I couldn't believe how amazing it was. It was so professional. I felt like I was watching a movie - the best movie I had ever seen. They used a number of songs I had previously chosen for background music and it flowed beautifully. So much time had to have gone into it. When watching the actual ceremony, the sound was perfect and every word was easily able to be heard. I couldn't be happier. And one last mention, I really love Arie. She was the one in charge of organizing everything. She would email me promptly about payments and what I needed to do and was always super friendly. This place is horrible, customer service is a joke for them. I bought a groupon from them. Because really most people have groupon deals for a reason. And I see why with this place. No one likes to answer there phones or return phone calls, so I had to resort to wasting my days calling them multiple times till I get an answer. Strike one! We go in to take pictures, the photographer gives no direction all it is, is they say smile smile... Um ok, so where should I stand, how should I pose? Come on!!! Now trying to get an appointment to see the pictures Is darn near impossible, again with the answering phone calls. Almost non existent. When I finally get a date to see them (almost a month later, when they said it would take a week), the pictures are horrible. We see they only took 30 pictures and none of them were good, yes people not one. I will say this I was giving them a chance to do my wedding! I have to admit that when I first saw XSiGHT's price list I almost passed out. Holy hell...you could buy a cheap car for what their mid-range photo/video package costs! But, as with everything in life, you get what you pay for (and honestly they're not that much pricier than other wedding photogs anyway. Hey, weddings = beau-coup bucks...apparently I'm in the wrong industry.). So let me repeat...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! They are the best of the best and you will be absolutely stunned by your engagement portraits, wedding portraits and videos. I can't tell you how many people have said to me, verbatim, "Those are the most beautiful wedding photos I've ever seen" And don't even get me started on the video short...I swear it came straight out of Hollywood. They captured the essence of our magical day perfectly and everyone who sees it literally tears up. The best part of the whole XSiGHT experience however is working with their team. They're (obviously) super talented and professional but they're also fun, funny, friendly, down-to-earth folk. I was afraid my rowdy-ass friends might scare my vendors but Nicole Sepulveda (our photographer) and Joel Sandoval (our videographer) fit right in with their awesome senses of humor and made the event that much more fun. The results were hilarious photos that portrayed exactly the relationship we share. I am really sorry to say but my experience with Xsight has been pretty bad. I should have read one of the reviews here before I called and talked with one Gail Patel in Sacramento office. On the groupon it says "a CD of images from the first session (upto a $500 value)" but first when I asked her intern she said it's written that the whole value is $500 when I mentioned that it says $795 for the whole value she had to get Gail on the phone. And her response was that they have shot pictures for 800 people thru groupon deal and not one have complained about this CD thing. I guess this is a good way of getting people in the door and then then telling them that it's not what is mentioned in the groupon (upto to a $500 value) . I wonder if just a 30kb resolution CD is of $500 value .I am glad that I called them before I purchased their groupon In response to Gail's reply Gail , yes being a customer I have every right to dissect a deal which I am planning to pay for. And I was not asking anything extra from my side. I was asking you about the things which you have mentioned in the Groupon offer. I am not asking you to give me a high resolution CD in $20 deal. The only thing I truly insisted on in my wedding planning was using Xsight for photography and videography. Nicole is an amazing artist first and foremost, and a hilarious person that can make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I changed my wedding date so that I could work with her. She was able to wrangle babies, toddlers, grouchy family members and clueless guests into what I'm sure will be masterpieces. We also had Carlos help with photography and the fact that he was great company is just a bonus. The wedding day is such a blur. Everyone tells you this but you don't really get it until you blink and it's over. That's why I'm so happy that Joel was there shooting video for us.
