Robin was instrumental in helping us plan our newly designed celebration and keep us on track. In addition to the time Robin spent on the engagement shoot, and coming out to our home to scout for getting-ready photos, he now made time to come to the new wedding location a couple of days ahead to scout for backdrops and lighting. He made suggestions for where to stand and cake placement, and helped enormously with our new timeline for the whole day, to make sure that we would fit everything in and we would have good lighting for pictures. Even though we didn't get to do all of the things that we had hoped for this wedding celebration, when we look at the wedding photos, we truly feel that nothing was lacking and we really did have that beautiful wedding day.   Don't let Robin's reasonable pricing fool you. He has a ton of experience, his work is top notch, and he is a genuinely good person. From the Groom: Robin definitely alleviated any fears I had about being told to pose in way I wouldn't have normally - his way of telling us where and how to stand was easy to follow from the beginning and evolved very thoughtfully as he got to know us better. If we thought something was better (or just more like us) he went with it effortlessly. He loved that we preferred "funny" pictures and was happy to oblige without sacrificing any photographic integrity. As a hobbyist photographer I appreciated how quickly he found the right lighting and a variety of angles. I was never left hoping for certain shots as he consistently got the most out of every setting we were in. His "bedside manner" was superb and the pacing of getting-down-to-business while keeping it casual so we were in a good picture-taking mood was well-honed. Robin was a life saver. Just one day before our wedding the photographer assigned to take pictures bailed out! Then, another photographer recommended Robin to us. Since it was the night before our wedding I accepted the recommendation somewhat reluctantly. From the get go he was very professional, asking questions trying to learn our time line for the ceremony, the reception, who needed to be first in the pictures, etc. I should mention that the original photographer never bothered to ask any of the questions Robin asked. We were very pleased with Robin's work as our photographer for our wedding! We spoke and met with Robin on numerous occasions before the wedding, including doing an engagement photo session. There weren't many reviews on Yelp so I took a leap of faith and hope for the best. We took engagement photos at SF Embarcadero and Chinatown. We didn't know how to pose for our engagement shoot but he was gave us some useful tips and directed us accordingly. He was patient and was excited to different shots of different inspirations of different doorways and alley artworks. He got a bit lost driving to the reception but he was still able to get to the restaurant on time.He captured a ton of great photos of all the guests! Nonetheless, our wedding photos turned out great and we couldn't be happier! I think we got a lot more comfortable with taking photos during our wedding day so we got a lot more candid shots as compared to the engagement shoot. My biggest fear was not liking how I came out in the pics, because quite frankly I'm a hit or miss when it comes to taking a picture.
