Gold Coast made getting my realtor license a fairly simple process. Marilyn is by far one of the very best instructor's. the way that she taught the entire textbook with such funny examples and analogies made everything just easily sink into our minds even down to the math. if you have her, you're in good hands. next, gold coast tamarac is 10 times better than gold coast lantana... just for reference. customer service, instructor quality, etc is better at the tamarac location than the lantana... very surprisingly. Thank you Gold Coast for assisting me in attaining my realtor license. Great instructors. read more

I stopped by to ask questions in person regarding the real estate course. Maggie the associate there was super knowledgeable and super sweet when she answered all of my questions. She let me when the earliest class starts and also there is an online course as well. She let me know what the different payment tiers. She let me know that the instructors are amazing and also that once I am done with the class I can attend a career fair. The parking is free and is located super close to the building. read more

First time visiting Gold Coast school. My twin sister and I are interested in pursuing a certification in real estate and we had a great experience with Maggie. She was very helpful and I was very inquisitive and she was answering all my questions without a problem. She explained the different options and also provided the information of night classes which works more for me. Overall the experience was great . I can't wait to start classes here with my twin sister read more

Just started class online with an instructor and it's just not my cup of tea. It's so restrictive, we can't interact with other students AT ALL even the chats are private, it's so weird to me. Like the instructor is only talking and he doesn't stop to read chats until he is way past what may have been in question. It's a waste of money, just greedy to charge so much for an online class that feels like you are watching a YouTube video. God forbid you are not on camera they keep hounding you and send you email that you are not in compliance yet the instructor is extremely extremely boring. He has no character at all and his voice is annoying. Especially for a night class there should be some lively upbeat instructor since most ppl are coming from work. Would NOT recommend them ever. read more

I was going to hold off on this review until I take the state exam, but the state's computer system was hacked and they are now a month behind in reviewing applications. So I'll give the review now, but I might be changing it in the future. I'll explain why in a minute. I went to Gold Coast for a real estate class. I was recommended to them by my broker, and I respect his opinions, but I was hesitant. When I first started in real estate I went with another school. The teacher there told me she had gone to Gold Coast and even though she passed their test with a score in the 90s, she failed the state exam. According to her, they only teach to their test not to the state exam. But I went. I took two weeks off from work so I could concentrate on this without being interrupted. This turned out to be a good move on my part. On the night before the class was to start I pulled up the email to make sure I had the address and time correct, and that's when I noticed that I was supposed to come by the week before to pick up the book. Now, I will accept that it was my responsibility to read the email and I did not, however, I signed up for this class over the phone. I spoke with the person who took the payment, so why couldn't she have told me that I needed to come in the week before? I don't think that's too much to ask. The class started on Monday morning and we covered three chapters. That night I read all three and the three for the next day, and from that point on I stayed ahead of the reading. At the end of each chapter the instructor would give us "highlights," which are the parts of the book that we needed to concentrate on to pass their test. He did tell us that for the state exam we would need to know the entire chapter, so I think my teacher from the other school missed that. I did have to visit the office a few times; once to get my fingerprints taken because that's a requirement for the license. It's very nice that Gold Coast has the equipment there to do it so I didn't have to run around and find someone else to do it. Their price was $81, which seems reasonable. I seem to recall that's in the neighborhood of what I paid the last time, so I was fine with that. Mostly what I liked was the person who worked with me because she could not have been nicer. I was very impressed with her professionalism and she made me happy that I had made that choice. Sadly, she was unique. Every other time I had to visit the office the other employees were surly and often times downright rude. They made me feel like I was keeping them from their job, rather than that I was part of their job. I finished the class with a 93, which was good. Now I have to take the state exam and what was not explained to me until much later was that my tuition includes a weekend long "cram" session. No one bothered to explain this to me when I signed up. They sent me an email saying I was signed up for this class in May, which was five months ago. I just thought that was an error. The school appears to be good at their instruction, but not great at their administration. They don't explain to the students everything we need to know to make this experience better. The people in the front office and on the phones need to be trained better. And they need to understand that the students are the reason why they have a job. Treat us that way. read more

I cannot even began to explain how grateful I am to have been recommended to Goldcoast by my husband. With a little extra time on my hands now that the holidays are over I decided to work towards a license. The real estate license was the fastest and I figured would be a fun profession to learn more about. With only 3 months to gear up for the next season in my primary profession; real estate being the quickest license to receive, I rolled with it! Deciding to do this on a whim I signed up online the night before. I was seriously concerned that the office would not receive the sign up by the following morning. I showed up 15 minutes prior as instructed online and sure enough they had a packet with all my paperwork and book ready to go. Back in a classroom for the first time in three years it felt really weird. Although my instructor Marilyn could not have been a more incredible transition back to the books! Marilyn has the capability to explain the content and material necessary to pass the class and state exam. Most importantly she made a 7 day 63 hour course go by in a flash. With her passion for real estate and energetic teaching approach; I feel confident that state exams are going to be a breeze. This facility is also equipped with a small break room that includes vending machines that accept Apple Pay, a microwave, and a sink. If takeoff a full day course you are usually allotted two 15 minute breaks and one hour lunch! There are not many places to choose from so plan accordingly! Thank you Goldcoast and Marilyn! I can't wait to take post licensing and CE at this school. read more

Moreover his informative teaching style, he truly made the class such a great upbeat atmosphere in a course that can feel like information overload. Thank you Jose and Gold Coast ! read more

I love Gold Coast and have been a loyal - return student for 10 years. According to their policy everyone is supposed to wear a mask. Nope! Not everyone. Halfway through every class someone either removed it half way or took it off completely . No one said anything and nobody checks. In all fairness, signs are posted everywhere and cleaning stuff is readily available including paper towel. Seating is well distanced. Suggestion: remind attendees via speaker/audio that masks must be worn at all times! read more

Dan Coco is the best when it comes to preparing his students for both the pre license and the state exam. I'm so happy that I was placed in his class, I was extremely nervous before my test as most of my classmates but the way Professor Dan and his teaching techniques prepared us all. I was able to pass my final exam and I'm so confident for my state test that I'm gonna take it as soon as possible just so I can use his testing techniques. Thanks Professor Coco you are truly amazing! read more

Terrible. They waste 30 to 45 minutes of class every day talking about stuff unrelated to class or the exam. They are very slow and waste so much time. I won't recommend them at all--a ripoff. read more

The instructor Deborah is very rude. She comes off condescending and rude when students try to ask questions. It was so bad I emailed a formal complaint to the director in the first week. He was very nice but nothing ever changed. Paying this amount of money for a class I want to be able to ask questions in a judgment free zone and feel like it's a fun environment. I am in the 4 week course and I'm miserable attending but have made it to the last few days so it feels too late to give up. Would not recommend this instructor or company. read more

I recently took the 63 real estate course at Gold Coast and absolutely loved it. I was totally blown away that my teacher was an absolute master in actual real estate. Gold Coast hires actual agents and brokers who are out there living the life. They aren't just teachers. They are masters of their craft and elect to teach to educate and motivate new potential agents. My teacher was Gaspare Lucania and he made class time fun, exciting and easy to digest. Gaspare has real world experience and blends his knowledge of real estate with a yearn to help new students succeed. I couldn't be more excited to start my career as a real estate agent and learn from him and Gold Coast. I would recommend the course to anyone who's interested in obtaining their license and hope you get Gaspare too! He's the best!! read more

I am beyond fed up with this school I come one week to do a course I didn't have to wear a mask. I had a death in my family and had to reschedule my class now I have to wear a mask in class. I know this sounds dumb but I would have done online class if I had to wear a mask. The head of the office tells me is a company mandate. Well we weren't told before I spend $800 on a course that we would have to wear a mask. Then you see other students in other classes not wearing masks and you go up to front office to tell them well why does one class have masks and one doesn't. Well I don't know we have to figure it out is what the head of the office said. Very sad that one consumer is allowed to freely do what they want and one is subject to follow rules they were informed about not before spending $800 on the course not in the confirmation email never once told mask was required to attend class. So for my job I need to get a Florida 2-15 license which is health, life and annuities- thrilling stuff, right? I was told to go through Gold Coast because they're a great location and many, if not all, of my team has done so, however, they all did everything online. I know how distracted I am when I'm doing an online course so I thought if I want to pass the test the first time I should do I should do the classwork in person. I decided to take the weekend track because I didn't want to take the time off of work. Looking back maybe I should have. Gold Coast in general seems like a lovely school. It can teach you graphic design, real estate, insurance, and probably a lot more. The place is clean and easy to get to. To be blunt, the class I had was terrible. Have you ever been listening to a presentation where the guy or gal reads directly from the power point? Well that was my teacher. The power point is copied directly from the book and is read essentially word for word by the professor who, half the time, is sitting while he teaches. The point of me taking this course was so that I didn't have to "read" the material. There was nothing visual about the course. Listening to someone read verbatim from a screen is no way to spend 32 hours. Constantly talk about about how we are behind schedule would tell us constant stories about his family, the guys he used to work for, and any other random thought he decided to bring up. If a student asked a question, "we don't have time for that" "You'll have to Google it at home". It definitely made me feel like I was in school again- grade school. He let people break the food rule which in theory I don't really care because I know how hungry you can get in that room where you're there all day essentially, but the constant crinkling of bags and that awful chewing sound you hear from people will drive you crazy when you're trying to pay attention. Then out of the blue on the last day he kind of went awol on someone for having food in the room- a little too late to say anything, don't you think? He also talked terribly about certain industry mom and pop insurance companies. What if I was working there? And of course, he dropped where he worked a half dozen times per hour so we could know where he was at and how much money he was making in his glory days when he was in his 20's. Honestly, the most upsetting thing was in the beginning there was a question about a certain life insurance product and his answer was, "if you don't know this, you shouldn't be here." First of all, as a teacher, what a horrible thing to say to anyone who is trying to learn. And secondly, I didn't know it. I unlike most of the students am not getting this license to be an life insurance agent so I'm here to learn things I don't know so starting out on day one and your teacher says that really kind of sets the tone for a terrible experience. On our last day we asked him to go over a question that didn't seem right. During our break he reviewed it and when we came back he began to discuss the question, but he was discussing the wrong question. When we brought this up he began yelling about how, "sometimes books are wrong and the books aren't updated ever year", but that wasn't the point. The point was that he didn't review the question we asked him about. I truly felt like I wasn't a 34 year old trying to obtain a 2-15 license, but rather, I was a five year old in a day care. I got nothing from this class but the books they provided. On the last weekend he let us go 30 minutes early only to keep us 30 minutes extra the next day. Who wants to stay even later on a Sunday when the class should be over? Thinking back on this, I probably should give this a one star review but I'm hoping it's just the teacher and not the program. I notice the reviews on here are for the real estate class and not for this class. It's just a real letdown when you give up your weekends, spend a good amount of money, and get a terrible product in return. Typically I'd say, I wish I could get my $299, but I keep thinking I wish I could get those four days of my life back. read more

I passed the class brokers exam and will take the state exam in a couple weeks. I wish the school asked for reviews of the instructors. I got licensed in Virginia and at the end of the course they asked the students to fill out a review form anonymously. I took the RE salesperson class first, since I didn't know I was eligible to take the brokers course, coming from out of state. Someone in the office suggested it to me and I was very grateful. In any case, I was happy to be done with the salesperson course as I found the instructor very annoying and it was hard to sit through her course. She basically read through the chapters in a monotone and treated the students like babies. The instructor for the brokers course was amazing and I was so grateful to have him. I learned so much and he efficient and treated the class respectfully. I thought I would audit the broker course while waiting to take my state exam. I only lasted the first day. The instructor seemed to think he was teaching a middle school class and between trying to involve the students in "sharing" and in addition to his pointless comments and bad jokes, I found it to be a time waster and extremely annoying. Maybe because I had such a great teacher prior, it was hard to sit through his class. Gold Coast-- do yourself and your students a favor and ask for feedback on your instructors. Isn't that the whole purpose of the school?? It shouldn't be a luck of draw as to who gets a good instructor or a mediocre one. Perhaps some instructor training should be in order for some consistency with the class. I will be going elsewhere for my post-licensing. read more

After all is said and done, I am overjoyed with the outcome of my interaction and educational experiences so far with Gold Coast Schools. My most recent was for the Real Estate pre-licensing and I had the pleasure of being taught by Lisa Vizcaino. Her knowledge of the industry and life experiences truly brought a genuine element to the class that are top notch. In addition, her positive outlook and desire to make sure all her students understood the material was refreshing. She had an open class where no one was made to feel like they were asking a dumb or stupid question. She honestly made me want to come to class and learn. Thank you Lisa and Thank you Gold Coast! I will say, my RE journey did not start off this positive. I was enrolled in a different course schedule at the same campus and had a different instructor. I found that this instructor needed a re-affirmation after they would explain something to the class. These re-affirmation expressions/statements/questions took up valuable time and became a distraction not only to myself but, to other students as well as expressed and discussed amongst us during breaks and at lunch. A fellow classmate went so far as to do a tally of these re-affirmations because they were so blatantly distracting, and found that one such expression/question ("Are we clear?") was asked of the class one morning ninety-five (95) times in a matter of one hour and fifteen minutes! In addition, while I understand there is a limited amount of time for questions from students, the instructor made it clear to not get off subject and do not ask any questions. In one instance, the instructor got into a verbal altercation with a student who asked a question. The instructor cut him off and the student responded with "I paid $500 for this class and I have a right to ask questions." It was at that point where I knew I needed to switch classes. As I said at the beginning, I am truly thankful after all is said and done and I will DEFINITELY be back to Gold Coast! Lisa is a gem! read more

I was very happy with the education I learned with my classroom instructor, Stan. He was very knowledgeable and effectively taught the class in a manner where it was easy to retain and understand the information. I was not happy with the instructor I had for the Cram Review. I went over the 1001 Cram Review Questions and was looking forward to getting help on understanding the answers that I got wrong. Instead, during the entire class, he diverted SO much into random stories that I felt like the review was a waste of my time. I think it would have been more efficient if he had not kept going into irrelevant stories about his life and stuck to teaching the material that was in the book. I didn't even waste my time going to the cram review the 3rd day as I took that time to just go over the book myself and found it more helpful. read more
