Thankfully the kind gentleman told me that it would ruin the ring because the setting couldn't be sized down to the size he needed. It had to many Diamonds underneath the main Diamond so it would wreck the integrity of the ring. Then he was kind enough to give me an appraisal for it well I was shocked when I went home and told my husband he was like we're keeping it and we will just take him shopping and let him pick his own out and that's what we did. DO NOT USE This guy pretty much ruined $500 worth of jewelry. I brought him 3 pieces of gold and silver to repaired. I personally have done some jewelry work before and I can tell this guy clearly has no formal or even informal training with jewelry. All he did was put globs of solder on the jewelry and melted it. He even bent things out of shape, causing more damage then it was originally in. I wish I could give take my money back and have my jewelry restored to its originally broken state. Unless you want your nice jewelry ruined do not use him. I now need to find a different jewelry repair shop to fix his work. Bring your jewelry somewhere else if you value it. read more

Did a great job in 15 minutes. I walked right up and asked to fix a pin in my Citizen watch band. Quoted $10.00 for full repair and was given options of how to fix it. I immediately agreed for the fix to be completed. When I called Citizen, they needed shipping/handling and who knows how much it would have ended up costing, not to mention the time without my watch. I needed to have my watch battery replaced and checked the prices around area as I was shopping around. This spot had the best price and the replacement was extremely fast. They even set the time for me on my overly complicated watch. I usually have to find the manual that goes to the watch to set the time but they figured it out on the spot. The clasp on my watch was also getting loose and would sometimes randomly unlatch and he noticed and tightened it up for me! It has really made a huge difference in how comfortable I feel wearing the watch knowing that it won't fall off my wrist. It feels good having that "click" back when putting the watch on. read more

My husband and I brought his mother's music box (that he broke when he was young) here. When we first arrived the guy told us he wasn't sure if he could fix it or not, but if we could leave it for a week or so he would try. This is the place to go when you are in need of any jewelry repair, engraving, new watch battery, etc. I took a chance and had a gold charm engraved as a gift. They got the job done in 24 hours and charged me a vey reasonable fee. As a comparison, I went into a different jewelry store on 16th for a quote and was told it would take a week (they send out) and cost almost twice as much for the same job. I've had a total of 6 watches serviced here and have found the owner to be very kind, knowledgeable, quick in his work, and honest. His pricing is more than fair, it's very good, especially considering the location. On my second visit I brought back a watch he had sized for me previously. No receipt with me, and I'm sure he didn't recall me being there, but he adjusted it for me at no cost. Another watch I brought in I believed needed a battery. He tested it and said the battery was fine, that it needed repair and that he could do it, but as it was still under warranty I should just send back to the manufacturer. I had brought in two watches for him to look at that day, he didn't charge me for his diagnosis and testing of the battery on that one. Pretty cool in my book. I brought in three watches for him to change the batteries. Two are Raymond Weil watches, which are not cheap! On the most expensive, he said we should do a full cleaning for $125...which I did. The other Raymond Weil had the battery changed but didn't work. It's about 3 years old and he said it too needed a cleaning. I declined. When I received the watches back, two days after he promised, they appeared to be fine. However, the one with the cleaning now has a cracked crystal. It starts at the top as if it was tightened too much when he put it back together. I've had this watch for almost 20 years with not so much as a scratch!! I took it back to him and he declined to fix it! Too bad for him, because I have a Gucci that needs repair as well as several pieces of jewelry for him that will now go elsewhere.
