Everything was fine but dealing with Big River- particularly woman name Trang - was a nightmare. I have never met such a poor time management. This company saves on driver's labor: there is only one driver Grag - extremely nice guy, very helpful and one more (the owner's husband) that do drop offs and pick ups. Our dumpster was ready to be picked up Friday we didn't get it picked up until Monday afternoon. Trang told me they don't work Saturdays- which is a lie as online it says they work 9am-12. It's okay to have dumpster for an extra day or two unless you have another work going on and other trucks needs to be parked at the same spot where dumpster is. the builders are waiting for the dumpster to be removed because it is on the way. Trang is really bad at communicating- no knowledge of time frame for pick up and drop off, terrible problem solving, complete disorganization and unprofessionalism. If you are time sensitive and have a few jobs to do in a row- make sure you have the time for pick up and drop off stated in your agreement, otherwise you can loose days of work, money and time.

Around 3 or 4 years ago Republic Services took over the routes of my previous trash provider. At…read morethe time I was paying $50/mo to have a 2 yard dumpster picked up every 2 weeks. Republic trucks are far heavier than the original providers. They immediately began causing damage to my driveway and yard, not just to the topsoil but also reshaping the clay underneath, creating an area that retained an excessive amount of water. Over time, that caused the entire driveway entrance to soften and begin to sink. I was able to mitigate most of that damage by dropping a few tons of gravel at the entrance a couple times a year. However, it has been well over a year since i have been able to put down any gravel, as their rates have steadily increased from $50 to $193 per month, making any form of damage mitigation impossible. On Tuesday, May 26 I called their support number to cancel services. I spent an hour and a half on the phone, with most of that time being on hold, before reaching a representative. I told them I wanted to cancel the service as their trucks were damaging my driveway and yard, I told them their dumpster was empty and ready for retrieval. After discussing the situation with them, I was transferred to another department to repeat the conversation with someone else, only to be transferred again, this time to "Cancellations" for another repeat discussion, finally ending the call expecting to hear back from an account manager. By the following Friday, having received no reply, I drove to the local office. After explaining the situation to a couple of people there, I was provided a direct number for the account manager. I called multiple times over the next few days before finally getting through, only to be given an email address to send a cancellation notice to, and to be told I have to provide 60 days notice. It is now July 27. I have spoken to at least 9 individuals within this company, from drivers and dispatch to account managers and cancellations. I have told each them their trucks are destroying my property, I don't want their service, and that their dumpster is ready to be retrieved. Despite being notified of the damages their trucks are causing, they continue to send those trucks to pretend to service a dumpster that was last emptied on May 18, and remains empty. Because of this, I have been forced to block their service trucks from my property since June 1 in order to prevent further damage. I have not received any acknowledgement of my cancellation request. I have, however, received bills totaling $391 for services not provided during the months of June and July. At this rate, they will soon be adding another $190 for August, and $390 for their 2 month notice, whenever they finally get to it, plus $150 for their dumpster retrieval fee. Looking at close to $1200 to cancel their service, and that doesn't included the costs to repair my driveway.

A Republic Truck came up behind me and activated their air-horn which is 120 decibels. It temporarily made me deaf and almost made me crash. Their drivers are unprofessional, immature and childish. I work for a logistics company and if one of our drivers replicated this behavior, they would be fired. Do better Republic and respect other Tax-paying citizens and humans. I have every right to utilize the roadways as well and shouldn't have to fear for my life, be deafened and disrespected by your immature, inconsiderate and dangerous drivers. Thank goodness I didn't crash. Train your drivers better and instruct them how to be decent members of our small community.
