I go to her because I have mixed hair, so it has always been a challenge to find someone who knows how to treat my hair, white stylist overblow, tease it and over straighten it with the flat iron. Black hair stylist tend to over grease, over flat iron it and try to shave my kitchen (the area around the back of your neck where the hair can be short and tightly curled). I do NOT have a kitchen problem, so it freaks me out when the approach my head with a pair of clippers. Brianne will be going on maternity leave soon, so book your appointment soon. I was charged the full amount on my credit card plus a fee of $8 which I assumed was for credit card processing. I didn't mind paying for the full amount upfront. After my appointment, I was told I owed $59. I spoke to the owner, and she said it is salon policy to advertise the service fee but not the fee for products used. She said in the small print online it says "a service fee may be applied". This wasn't a service fee, this was a product fee. She said I should have requested a consultation to ensure I knew the total price. I asked " I have to set up an appointment before my real appointment to know the full price?" She said I could have negotiated the fee while I was at my scheduled appointment. This makes no sense because I didn't know there would be a product fee, but even if I was told there was a product fee, what happens if we can't come to an agreement? Could I just walk out because we couldn't agree on the price and I wouldn't be charged for the 2 hour appointment? I doubt it! What a scam!
