In today's world…read more... There is so much loss of the true Arts. Yeah, Everything and I mean Everything is getting replaced by the latest technology and at a very rapid rate. But the worst thing in my humble opinion.... And Trust me, I don't even want to say it... But a little thing called A.I. that is really shaping our future and personally I think it's making those that use it less prone to using their actual brain to even think. And it's not just the Arts, but almost every facet of our lives. Think about it... Cell Phones have replaced landlines. Emails have replaced hand written letters. A simple text message has replaced a heartfelt thank you card. Kindles are slowly replacing paperback books. And now A.I. technology is starting to replace humans in the workplace. I mean.... Did everyone forget what the Terminator & Sarah Connor warned us about? That on August 4th (that's tomorrow by the way, or TODAY since you are probably reading this NOW!!) "Skynet goes online and starts to learn at a geometric rate..." And then at 2:14 a.m. Eastern Time on August 29th the System Becomes Self Aware! Judgement. Day. People!!! What's next, the Kindles will be replaced by Audio Books and we won't even have to read anymore. Someone will just read to us?? Oh wait..... Well thankfully, the Art of Reading, on your own, not on a screen, or read to you by a voice actor while you commute to work, can still be done on real tangible books. Whether paperback or hardcover, thanks to bookstores like Barnes & Noble, this form of Art is here to stay... well, for now! Yes, 2 floors, top to bottom with all things books. History, Fiction, Autobiographies, Non-Fiction, Self-Help, Cooking, Gardening, True Crime, Romance, Fantasy; you name it, they've got it! Organized by category and sub-categories, B&N is your place to come be a bookworm and get lost in the world of literature. A place where hopefully A.I. doesn't replace that knowledgeable Barnes & Noble worker who can point you in the direction of the newest Sarah J Mass Romantasy book you're looking for. A place where A.I. hopefully doesn't replace that kind cashier who you have a sincere conversation with as you are checking out. A place where NO JUDGEMENT DAY can be passed upon you for bringing a basket full of enemies-to-lovers books to the checkout stand... Nope, no judgement here! But like Sarah Connor, it's up to us to keep this Art Alive. Don't let (Skynet) aka A.I. become self aware and take over our brains, our books, or our lives. Keep Reading. Keep Learning. Keep buying Books.

She was extremely rude and said because she was busy doing inventory she had no time to help me. I left and purchased the book I was looking for on Amazon.

A small but mighty bookstore. After years of driving by this spot, what finally brought me in was…read moreseeing them on social media. I stumbled upon a post they did which was in solidarity with a group of people and seeing that our values were aligned I knew this was a local small business that I needed to be supporting from here on out. I came midweek to shop and look around, and I had a great experience. It's a smaller bookstore, but they did have a lot to choose from! I was especially happy to see that they keep up with new and trending authors/books that come out. But of course, they also had a broad selection of every type of book you could think of. Being a smaller independent bookstore they don't have mass quantity though so if you find a book you like you should grab it because they only have a copy or two of each. I found that the pricing was comparable to anywhere else but again when you shop here you're supporting local small businesses so even if it was a little pricier, it would be worth it to me. They had a cute child's/kids section in the back so it would definitely be a great place to bring your little one to look around or read a story. The vibes are welcoming, but I also appreciate when staff leave you to look around without standing over your shoulder. The gal working behind the register was super nice and checked me out with quickness, that I was in and out without issue. Nice people work here, they have a decent selection and overall it was a cute little shop that I will be back to support again soon.
