Seacoast never made contact with me and the outstanding balance was for something they forgot to charge me for while I was there. They went to debt collections over $250, when I had already paid them nearly $2,000, without receiving any notice that they wanted more money on top of the bill I paid on the day of the surgery. The manager was extremely rude when I called, leveraged things from my personal life against me for no reason when I was justifiably upset, and tried to get her little tit for tats in during the conversation, rather than resolving the issue, and did nothing to solve the situation. Dr. Pak was a good doctor and my wisdom teeth surgery went fine and healed well, but at the end of the day there are plenty of good oral surgeons out there. I did call back to apologize for some of my rudeness during my call with the manager, and, for the record, I received no apology in kind for the manager's rudeness to me or for their mishandling of my account, both when they failed to bill me initially and when they sent it to debt collections without trying my phone number or email, both of which were on file. I feel like that's a very unfair way to treat a good customer, and I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. I have a lot more dental work that needs to be done, and I am blessed with the means to pay for it, but I will never return to this office and will encourage anyone looking for dental care to avoid it. I always pay my bills on time, and they completely mishandled this situation and treated me with disdain and rudeness when I did everything they ever asked me to do.

Dental Plan and make it so difficult for me, a want to be patient of Dr. Pak. Was it my age of 75 or mean spirited? I was told by stephanie, who assists in surgery, not to talk to anyone except her or Tracie, who handle insurance. However, they were never available when I would call and they never returned my calls. I even e-mailed Tracie by way of their web site and got no response. When I did have a short conversation with either of them, I found that they were very unprofessional and argumentive. They must be very secure in their jobs to treat new patients this way. I found that I could not trust the information I was being given and realized If I could not trust this office in smaller matter, I certainly would not trust them in larger matters such as oral surgery. I must say whenever I spoke with Miranda or Jean they seemed very pleasant. I have since gone to another dentist who is more knowledgeable and professional in his treatment of me. He has a staff that is very pleasant and helpful.

Dr Tam and the dental staff here are great. Having had a lot of dental and periodontal work done at…read morevarious other offices, I can say this office is one of the best. Hygienists are very friendly and go the extra mile to ensure comfort during procedures. Many hygienists I've had at other offices did not offer to apply numbing gel to sensitive gums during routine cleanings or put notes in my file to ensure other hygienists don't use the ultrasonic scaler on certain areas where roots are exposed. The hygienists at Healthy Smiles did. Dr Tam is great at what he does as well. He warned ahead of time that a tooth needing a very large filling could require a crown if the limited area of healthy tooth structure remaining were to crack. Dr Tam was able to maintain the integrity of the tooth while completing the large filling. Another tooth that already needed a crown was at risk of needing a complete extraction and subsequent implant. Dr Tam salvaged that tooth as well. He has a very calm manner and explains procedures well. The only hiccup I've experienced was an insurance billing issue resulting from my previous dentist waiting months to submit a claim and causing a miscalculation of my total annual benefits remaining. This resulted in my out-of-pocket expenses exceeding what the Healthy Smiles staff quoted me by about $100. After discovering the issue, the staff worked with me and decided to comp the $100. Great customer service all around at this place. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the market for a new dentist.

Aspen Dental is a scam. Their predatory sales tactics give them a justified bad reputation, with…read morethousands of lawsuits. They have a Salesperson giving quotes - insisting things need to be done right away and trying to upsell things you don't need. They charged full price for things covered by insurance, and I had to nag them and make a lot of noise with other patients nearby in order to get a refund for what they over-charged. The company itself expects this type of behavior for all their locations. Do not use them unless you want a financial nightmare.

I went to this dentist in April 2024 and was given a treatment plan that, even after my insurance, was pretty pricey. But I went ahead and did the deep cleaning that they recommended over the course of 2 sessions. I paid a total of around $700 after insurance at the office at the time of treatment. About a month later, I got a bill from Aspen Dental for an additional $1,183. At first I figured this was a mistake so I called my insurance and they let me know that this was accurate. It turned out that Aspen Dental neglected to run my insurance before treating me and that since I'd had the same procedure done at a different dentist just under 2 years ago, my insurance would not cover this. I ran around and around in circles between my insurance, my previous dentist, and Aspen Dental. Even though they neglected to run my insurance before treating me, they refused to take responsibility for their neglect and are insisting on charging me for this in full. A total of roughly $1,900 for a cleaning. Completely unacceptable. If you value your money or your sanity, avoid this dentist at all costs.
