At the end of the fifth somewhat expensive visit, thinking I was done, he told me I now needed his referral to a specialist for considerable additional work and would no longer see him for any dental work. I would like to have known this in the beginning. His bedside manner is excellent, so far his work is good, his planning is very lacking. I would have had someone else do all the work had I known he wouldn't finish. I admit an aversion to pain but gave no trouble and quickly paid all my bills.

He texted right back and sent in a prescription for an antibiotic and saw me the next morning. He X-ray'd my mouth found the problem, called around found an oral surgeon with an emergency appointment and I had the tooth extracted an hour later. Something to note, Dr Amidon was going through a person loss that was happening at the same time yet took the time to see me. The office staff is terrific and accommodating and for someone like me (who doesn't enjoy dental procedures) it helps that they are all so kind and patient. Easy to get to, COV safe and easy parking. They are very caring.

I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. The Best Dentist Office Around!…read more Dr.Harrison is a phenomenal doctor; she's detailed, efficient, and has a human centered approach in her communication. I always feel comfortable and safe with Dr.Harrison, and I don't typically feel that way with Dentists. The staff is also phenomenal. Megan and Jess, who run the office, and super friendly and accommodating. They always try to work me in the schedule when there is an emergency. They text back and forth which is convenient for me. I get auto-reminders before and the day of the appointments. It's a great experience and these two are a big reason why. Susie, Becky, and Kim and three of the dental hygienists that I've worked with over the past few years. They also contribute to this special culture here. No time is wasted in my appointments because these 3 are always on their game. I know there are other hygienists and I can guarantee if they work in this office, they are good at what they do. What I particularly appreciate about this office is the culture and the way people treat each other. When you add that on top of excellent dentistry, there is not much more you can ask for. I requested a refund of the $250 consultation charge and was told in writing that "The consultation fee is for the exam, diagnosis and treatment plan I gave you regardless of whether you or I choose to go ahead." She sees a lot of adults for the Invisalign's and their hours are always accommodating for my family. The office is always decorated to the hilt for the holidays. I am so glad I took a chance after being a new resident to York and calling for an evaluation of my boys teeth. All of the dental records (x-rays, charts) are stored digitally by computer. Above the dental chair is a flat panel monitor which shows your chart, xrays, and digital images of your teeth and gums. Previously, I couldn't see the back of my mouth at my former dentists. Cool fish screensaver on the monitor!! All of the nerves instantly went away when his receptionist Julie greeted me upon arrival, she's always smiling and super friendly. She answered my insurance questions and introduced me to Dr. Nesvold. He (along with his dental assistant Kathy) spent about an hour with me the first appointment and we agreed to do a thorough cleaning at a later date. That appointment went smoothly and they took extra special care knowing I'm incredibly sensitive to pain (I'm a bit of a baby). He referred me to an oral surgeon in the area (Dr. De Tolla in Portsmouth- also fantastic) for wisdom teeth removal. I didn't meet his hygienist, Cheryl, until a few visits later but she's just as friendly and helpful as everyone else there! I've now been going there for several years and I can't say enough good things. I've now converted a sister and my boyfriend over to the office and plan to keep recommending Atlantic Family Dental to friends and family.
