Was visiting the area and came across Midwood Smokehouse when looking for a BBQ spot. The menu…read morelooked great and the photos online highlighting the food and the establishment looked promising; still rustic but with a modern twist. The table enjoyed the Miguel's Queso. I'm pretty sure the kids licked the bowl clean. Kids Chicken Nuggets - 6 crispy nuggets with a side of choice. Thick breading but good portion and taste. Crinkle fries were a bit hit for this little one. Enjoyed the fries with ranch. Lone Star Brisket Sandwich - Smoked brisket, house-made pickles, and slaw. Brisket looked delicious but was a bit dry and lacked seasoning. The pickles, slaw, and BBQ sauce delivered the moisture and flavor. Smoked Half Chicken - Smaller chicken quarter but tender and moist. Still lacking flavor counting on the BBQ sauce. Had the mac-and-cheese and fries as a side. Mac was cheesy but again dry. Saint Louis Pork Ribs - Good portion but again on the flavor - heavily reliant on the sauce. Sweet tea was perfect and the pickles were delicious! Service wasn't the best; refills were hard to get. I think next time we will avoid a chain and find a hole-in-the-wall establishment.

You just will need to plan to walk a little longer to get in. The menu is large and diverse, something for everyone. Never had a bad meal here. My favorite thing is all the sauces on the table. No matter what taste people have, there is something for everyone. We normally try them all every time just for the fun of it. Their BBQ sandwich is one of my go-tos in the area when I want that kind of thing. The staff is helpful, the restaurant is always clean and has a pro-military, Pro-America energy which I am a huge fan of. We are so glad Mission BBQ can to our town- check them out!

One of our sides wasn't included, but it also wasn't on the bill so we didn't ask about it. The cornbread and mac and cheese sides were very good. The pulled pork barbecue was fine, but not as good as we were hoping for or as good as some other options in the area are. The people I was with also didn't find a sauce option they really liked that much after testing what was available. The music was good, mainly country but the kind of songs even non-country-fans like me would recognize/like.

First time Friday lunch 3/20/26…read more My youngest son suggested lunch here. Arrived around 11:30am and glad we did. When we left the line to pay was out the door. Paid right away, I think it's around $15 which includes all you can eat, dessert and drink. Cashier automatically gave me a senior discount. Excellent pulled pork BBQ, in 3 or 4 different styles/ flavors. My favorite was the smoked whole hog where you pull off what you want. Everything was fresh and delicious. Top of the line all you can eat BBQ for South Carolina and I can't think of any BBQ that beats the price. Plenty of seating and it was not too loud. We were able to carry on great conversation. Highly recommend. Sign out front said they have been serving BBQ for over 60 years.

It's not fancy, and that's part of the charm. The BBQ is incredible, the fried chicken is perfection, the ribs don't miss, and the buffet is stacked with comfort-food goodness. I'm not usually a buffet girl, but this is the exception every single time. I usually end up with a whole plate just for sides because how do you choose between sweet candied yams, fried okra, collard greens, and mac & cheese? (Spoiler: you don't. You get them all.) And whatever you do, save room for the chocolate peanut butter delight. I don't know what magic they put in that dessert, but it's the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. If you're in the Columbia area, do yourself a favor and add Little Pigs BBQ to your must-try list.

What an amazing concept. I can say that the food quality is pretty awesome especially considering the buffet style restaurant. I've been twice now and both times the food was awesome and they don't pull back on anything here. The only issue is they do have some weird hours but for what you get and how they do things it's totally worth a trip during lunch. I highly recommend hitting this spot if you're a fan of BBQ and have ever felt like you didn't here get enough of your favorite BBQ dishes.

Easy to locate with gps though. I went with the buffet and could have probably went back five times. Everything was good. The pulled pork was amazing and they had "real" baked Mac and cheese. None of that fake stove top stuff. I didn't get a pic of my second plate but I also got dessert and second serving of fried okra and pulled pork. For the price of the buffet you get your bang for your buck with a whole lot of flavor with it.
