The mechanical work I've had done has needed to be redone each time, their staff appears to be untrained and uninterested in customer service. I hate writing bad reviews as it's tough enough for a business these days, but they really need to get their act together.

We rafted on a day later in the season with the Animas river running about 200cfs--perfect for a group of with children, novices adults and an active senior. We didn't get stuck once and made it through some tight fits without even touching the boulders. "All Net!" we told her :) The Mountain Waters Rafting crew were awesome. Loved the lead guide's safety presentation that was peppered with some great humour. Punctual; clean gear; loved all the writing in the bus. Great place. Can't wait to book more adventures with them!

It was the perfect mix of relaxing and fun--just enough adventure to keep everyone engaged without being intense. Sam, our guide, was fantastic. She made the whole trip a blast with her quick humor and steady stream of bad dad jokes (which I'll admit--I appreciated more than I should've). Part the first - Booking our float trip on the San Juan river was simple. Called up Duranglers, spoke with Spencer, got some preliminary instructions, gave payment for half. Took 10 minutes. Received subsequent emails, phone calls from Tom, the owner, about NM fishing licenses with relevant links and day of driving directions to the meeting location. Made navigating an unfamiliar territory seamless. Act II - Shop experience. I "needed" a new fly line. I walked out with much more! Prices were reasonable, shop guys were more than happy to shoot the breeze, and their selection was top notch. Great shop! Part three - The Rob Effect: Im a beginner fly fisherman, my dad was a first timer. I have had 10 or so guides over the last 3 years since taking this hobby up. Rob C. is tied with one other in N. CO as my favorite. He was patient, funny, and a wealth of knowledge about almost any topic. He is an unbelievably technical fisherman, his skill set and command of the rod is unparalleled. His respect for the river and the fish it contained was refreshing. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He made our trip the success it was. You will not be dissatisfied with any aspect of Duranglers!

The 1/4 day was the perfect amount of time for our 9 and 7 year old- we got wetsuits because even though it is June the water was 47 degrees. The water was super high which made for a fun and fast trip- we did pull over and have the kids walk around the most intense rapids for their safety which I appreciated. We also had two guides that were just finishing guide school, Mike and Bailey, they were extremely helpful as well and will be great guides for future trips.

We got back a week ago from a trip to Durango. This was the highlight of our trip. We had 7…read morepeople(2 kids, 5 adults) and all 7 of us were in the same raft. Sam was our guide. He was awesome. There were two other groups of 7 that went alongside ours, that were a part of some academy. There was a school chaperone and 6 kids in each raft. Deifnitwky kid friendly. The other two guys seemed like good guys as well. You get a chance go jump into the Animas at one point and swim around. My 8 year old hopped out and had a blast. It was cold but refreshing. Sam handled things well, even when the unexpected happened. I was up front and lost my paddle as we crashed into a rock but we easily retrieved it. We then got stuck on a rock for almost 10 minutes and the other two rafts were ahead of us. Sam tried different things and eventually hopped out and got is going again. The trip to the BBQ place was nice. You got a sandwich and a drink. The chicken was dry and eh, but the pulled pork and turkey were both excellent. If you're looking to go rafting in Durango, this is the group to go with.
