We moved to Wilmington for a two year assignment and Go Eco Disposal has been great. Prior to our move, I called all of the trash/recycle companies and Go Eco Disposal was one of the lowest costs. I decided to go with Go Eco as Linda was extremely friendly and welcoming on the phone. I set the service up over 1 month in advance, and sure enough the day after we moved in, Dave brought new trash and recycle bins to our home. They seem extremely organized and we've never had a missed pick up. Three months after we moved, our travel claim went through and I needed to have some large furniture removed from our home. The movers dumped the broken furniture up stairs and my husband had been deployed and there was no way I was going to be able to move it all downstairs for the company to remove. Dave came and took all of the furniture apart and removed it within 45 minutes! Friendly, reliable and safe. I would recommend them. read more

We have been with Go Eco since 2013, and have never had any issues with them at all. I know it seems odd, but I prefer the inconspicuous brown color of their garbage cans over the black or pink ones of my neighbors. If I could give them no stars I would. We moved to Wilmington mid September and I started garbage and recycling services with Go Eco Disposal. To start service they made me pay $20 for delivering the garbage and recycling carts, the prorated month for September and the next quarter's bill totaling $101.25. I didn't have a problem with that, what I found odd was they required I write a check and give it to the driver before he would drop off the carts. What really bothered me was their policy "Below is the only allowed RECYCLABLES that is to be put in your GREEN RECYCLING CART for Biweekly pick-up. If any items not listed are found in your cart, your cart may not be dumped and left for you to sort out. We will then pick up the allowed items the next scheduled RECYCLING day." I called the next day to let them know that the document listed aluminum foil as both allowed and prohibited and got "It is? I will have to check on that" and never got a return call. The last straw was when the garbage was picked up and there was still garbage left in the cart. When I called to cancel the service - less than a month after I started the service - they asked why, I told them and asked about refunding the balance. I was told that they would mail me a check. About 3 weeks later I got a check for $20. $20?! I used the service less than a month, paid them $101.25 to start service and the refund was $20?? I called and was told that there was a $20 "end of service fee". I explained that no one had told me about an "end of service fee" - and even if that were true they would owe me $30. The person I was talking to said it was on the invoice. She later told me that she had misquoted the "end of service fee" - it was $15 per cart. I went back and looked at all the documentation they sent me and there was no mention of an "end of service fee" on any documentation or invoice they sent me or in their Term and Conditions on their web page. They charged me for the entire month of October even though I cancelled the service on 10/12. Ok - I get that - but to charge me $30 for cancelling their service without informing me of the charge either when I signed up or when I cancelled the service is poor customer service at best and further validates my decision not to do business with their company. Thankfully there are other good choices available for garbage and recycling services in the area. read more

I've been with Go Eco for a couple of years and no problems. Last year I was given a quote from another company for a lower rate and decided to go with them, but when I called to stop my service, they wanted to match the quote. Again, no problems with them so I agreed. So I pay quarterly and last October I was late getting my check off to them because I had a medical emergency come up, but only by a couple of days. Regardless, it was late. My fault. So I get my bill this quarter, they went up 20%, AND charged me a $5 late fee! I called the company that quoted me last year and was told that the rate was still good so I wrote Go Eco a note cancelling my service, enclosed my check for the late payment fee, because I was late and thought I was covered through the end of the month. Their office called me today and said that they needed to pick up my carts today or Friday or I would be charged a "cancel service fee." I said that I am paid up to the end of the month and that I never signed a contract with them. She said that by my sending them a check I was agreeing to the terms on the back of their statement. I came home from work and both my carts are gone! Today is the 9th and I should have service to the 31st! I pulled my statement and it says NOTHING about a service cancel fee. I will also be contacting the BBB. read more
